My Disney Birthday Wish Came True! – June 2025 Trip Report (Updated 9/12!)

Wow, that looks amazing! The food looked delicious and I agree, it's nice to have actual food options. We do the dessert parties a lot because we like to have a spot to sit but that's one of our biggest complaints about it. We'd gladly pay a little more for real food.

That does stink that people who didn't pay were able to go grab all the good spots out there. There are plenty of other "free" spots they should have been directed to.

I just looked for October and it looks like this is available the week before we go. Maybe they'll add more dates but I'm not sure we'd even make it this trip since we already have a lot planned. I'll definitely be looking for it on future trips though!

Also, this kind of makes me miss that Cali Grill Brunch again. That was the single best meal experience I've ever had in WDW and I hate that it never came back!

So speaking of the fireworks, this event is basically a dinner and a private patio to watch the fireworks from. However, we noticed that around 8:40 a number of groups who were not at the event went out onto the patio that was supposed to be reserved for just us. I assumed that close to the fireworks a CM would go out there to move those people, but nope, nobody was monitoring who was going out there. We went out at 9:10 and were the first people from the event to go out, and all the spots along the edge facing Seven Seas Lagoon were already taken by the people who didn’t pay for the event. Fortunately, I recognized that the better view would be on the end facing Bay Lake Tower, so we grabbed our spot there.
The CM's really dropped the ball on this viewing event. I know that the policy is for CM's to be non-confrontational when possible, but this was not the time for it. I bet that they heard a lot of complaints.

Was there any kind of a sign to indicate that there was a private party going on?

It would have been easier on my wallet if you panned it, but with such rave reviews I’ll try for a reservation in March.

I’ve never taken a Minnie van (too big a splurge for just lil ole me) but last year I walked from Disney Springs to Saratoga Springs* and passed by a lot where dozens of them were parked. It was odd to see so many because usually I see just one at a time.

Yeah, this was probably some of the best food I've had at a Disney event outside of maybe Party for the Senses. While I love the dessert parties I do wish they had some savory stuff too, other than the cheese.

Right? I did send Disney an email right when I got home to let them know, and based on what I've heard they have been monitoring the doors lately to make sure only people with the event go out.

The schedule of this is so weird, I wish it were more consistent! We definitely want to do it again, so hopefully it'll fall during one of our upcoming trips!

We never did that, but it sounds amazing!

100%! I was really surprised there was no one making sure only event guests went out there! I did send Disney an email about it when I got home, and it sounds like they made some changes since more recent reports say they have a CM at the door making sure only event guests go out.

Not that I saw, but I may have missed it.

Haha! Sorry about that! Hopefully it is offered during your trip!

Oh wow, I don't think I've ever seen so many of them at once! We like using them, especially when my mom is injured so we don't have to stand in line for a bus, or even stand on a bus. But yeah, they are pretty pricey, I just make sure I budget for them before our trip!

HAAAA! Nothing wrong with that!

It is completely ridiculous that, for that price, they didn't have someone making sure that patio was just people at the event. I would have said something to a CM for sure. Otherwise, it looks like a great evening!!

Totally agree, although at least it sounds like they fixed this and now they have someone checking. Other than that it was an amazing evening, we really want to do this one again!

Day 5, Part 1: A Magical Morning! Part 1

We woke up around 6:30 this morning and got changed before heading over to the lounge to grab some coffee and wait for breakfast to begin.

This morning, they had eggs with onions and peppers, bacon, and crepes, along with the usual breakfast stuff like cereal, oatmeal, and fruits.

After we finished up with breakfast we headed back to the room to finish getting ready. We were out the door by 7:40 to head down to the boat dock to catch the boat to the Magic Kingdom!

We got lucky and arrived at the dock just before the boat left, so we were the last two to make it on, wahoo!

It was a nice trip over to the MK, although our captain could not get the boat docked, he had to try like 6 times before he finally got it! I felt so bad for him, it has to be so stressful having a boat full of people watching you try and miss over and over again! We ended up getting off the boat just before 8.

We quickly made it through security and into the park. Our first stop was, per usual, a photopass photographer!

After our pictures we popped into the Emporium to do some shopping. I was looking for a new journal to keep my trip notes, but found out that they stopped selling “paper goods” at the Emporium. I hope this isn’t something that spreads property wide, I saw journals in Epcot, so I hope they keep selling them there.

Early entry this morning was at 8:30, so at 8:25 we headed over to Tomorrowland. I was confused at first that the land was already open, but I had forgotten they changed the opening procedure where we wait at the actual rides for opening now.

We made our way to one of our favorite rides to rope drop….Buzz!

They opened the ride just as we got there, so we made it in quickly.

I managed to make Galactic Hero on the first round! Wahoo! Of course I had to swing by the store at the end to grab the button.

We decided to ride Buzz again right away so I could show mom where the high point targets are. She did her best, but no galactic hero for her yet. I have a feeling when they refresh this ride and we can actually pick up the blasters that she’ll do much better. I also suspect I’ll do much worse. :rotfl:

Our next stop after Buzz was the Peoplemover! It was a complete walk-on at that point, and we got an entire train to ourselves!

The ride did break down for a bit while we were on it, and we were at the point in the tunnel where it was uncomfortably hot due to lack of air movement. Fortunately it wasn’t a long delay, maybe 5 minutes, but it was enough to make us super sweaty, yuck!

It was 9:00 when we got off the Peoplemover, so we headed over to the other side of the park to get on HM.

Next up: A Magical Morning, part 2!
