Is the new Mariocart of WII hard to get?

It's been hit and miss here. Shannon just came back from Walmart tonight and she said they had a bunch. I was in a few stores on Monday and some had it some didn't. Seems to be going for about $49.99 up here with the wheel included.

I'm a big fan of Wi Fi but not because of the Wii. Actually I don't see much point for the Wii except from time to time you can download "extras" if you want. You can also have weather and news updates. You can also easily update firmware.

My Wii is networked but I really never use that feature. I if you were had Wi Fi, you and I could play games together over the internet and send each other message, but a computer is easier.

Now I do think that WiFi is a MUST for the PS3. They seem to release regular software updates, plus there is online interactive gaming and web browsing. Plus, @Home is coming soon.

In addition, my PS3 streams music from the Macs and plays slide shows from iPhoto. Sukie and I were looking at our cruise photos on the TV the other day it was great.

So, in my humble opinion for the Wii, no. For the PS3, yes. For yourself, yes.

Thanks for that Ian. I figure I'm gonna wait for the PS4 as I am not a happy camper with my PS2 (on my second one and I am starting to have blue disc errors with it now too). Sony blew it with me.

I'll probably get the wireless router, just a matter of when. Shannon's sister's family has a Wii, but not sure if they are online or not.

On the good news front....

SHANNON GOT THE Wii FIT!!!!

She went up to Walmart and they had 3 of them in stock for $89.93 CDN (plus taxes of course which runs it to just over $100.00). So she grabbed it.

She is currently trying to set it up with the girls watching. I'll have to take some pics and post them. Especially considering she isn't exactly wearing the most flattering of clothes right now. Looks like her painting clothes.

Just had to grab the tape measure to get her height.

The girls are quite into watching it. "Mom the board thing came to life on the TV!!!".

Paul made some yummy teachers gifts, chocolate dipped strawberries and was playing around with our food injector and figured out that he could inject the berries with liquor. What kind of liquor would you put in choc dipped strawberries. Jackie you can't say Banfi, which btw, I never did get a taste of.

I've earned quite a few additional exercises. This evening I tried the rhythmic boxing and really liked it. It was fun and good moving.

I'm still not so sure that I liked the Wii telling me I had the fitness level of someone 12 years older than me!

Another fire has started in the Santa Cruz mountains. Calls for evacuations have been made. Just too scary and too much too soon. Paul just told me it is close to our church camp. Yikees!!! Please send prayers for containment our way.

Well, bad mom that I am, we aren't having her party until July 31. There is just too much going on with the end of school, all the other kids' parties and our work stuff....so in July we are taking Jaide and 2 of her friends to Great Wolf Lodge. It is a chain hotel with an indoor water park. It just opened a few months ago and is supposed to be a ton of fun. We'll celebrate her birthday with family on Sunday....joy of joys my IL's will be here!!!!!

Ooooh! We have a Great Wolf Lodge here (well, about 2 hours north of here in Traverse City) and I keep trying to find time to take Tyler. I've never been, but my sister has taken her 2 boys a couple times and they loved it. You'll have a great time, despite the inlaws being there.

How are Manuel & your dad?

I am back in the hospital visit routine, but not as rigorous as before. Manuel is doing much better, the trach is out, he can talk, and his wound is healing. Not up on his feet yet, but won't be long. Still lots of rehab to do though.

Dad is calling me at least 10 times a day. I still take him dinner daily (Amy did it for a couple of days for me) and I have started remodeling the house for them (I hired the contractor and am overseeing) to move the laundry upstairs and make a first floor bathroom with shower. Lots going on.

John, what a great job you did! Sorry I missed the performance. Did Sophia just love seeing you up there?!

Work front is worse than before I left. I will not go into any great detail, let's just say almost all my spare internet time has been spent working on, and sending out my resume.

I miss so many of you guys, and have wonderful memories. Many of you I wish I could have had more time to talk to. How I wish I could start it all over again. Well, almost all of it!

I know I never saw you on the boat and didn't believe that you were actually there.......you have the kids to be there for.....and I'm sure it was special for all of you. I did adult only spaces. Even though I didn't see you onboard, I knew you were there living large and I was happy for you! Good News about Manuel too. Sorry to hear about the job.
