Too funnyh about Gretchen, kids really do crack me up with some of the stuff they say and worry about!

Sorry Gaylean, but remember, I'm usually the one with the camera so pics don't often get taken of me...

And yeah, I guess I you are right .. I am the straight laced one .. :cool2:

Don't get upset.....I know your laces aren't straight!

I would have been like that when I was young. Kids are crazy!

Cheri, it is an animated .gif file. Just right click on the pic posted and choose "save as".

oooppss... Forgot you were a Mac user. I'm not sure how it works then. Pj? John?

I usually just click and drag photos/gifs to my desktop then save it to where I want on the computer.

Some of you may have heard me talking about this on the ship. Staples had made a hostile takeover bid for my company (Corporate Express). We refused. While we were sailing, they made a 2nd offer for more money. We refused.

Well, they offered more money a 3rd time and Corporate Express jumped on it last night....so with in 3 weeks I will be working for Staples!!

Does anyone want an Easy Button??

Lisa

Lisa, this was talked about at my conference over the weekend. Staples is one of the stores that many campus stores are now competing directly against for university/college student sales.

I still have one that isn't unpacked but it is all the stuff that we collected on the cruise. I guess I need a box so I can put it in the garage. The suit cases are still all over the floor. We haven't had a free day off since we've been home. I guess, since today in the last day of school, I will have more time. Anyone want to get together so I don't have to!

I unpacked, but I just did some hand wash stuff last night, because I am packing again to go to Illinois for 6 days......Also got Patrick all packed up to go to respite care at the St. Cloud nursing home.........lots of paperwork for that, and I needed to put his name on all his clothes and make a list of what he is taking......Chuck and I are each taking one carry on bag for the trip.....I hope it works out ok.

I am just so glad Mike's staying here in case Patrick needs him, He can visit Patrick and bring him home during the day if he gets lonely.

All Chuck wants to do is go to Angelo's for pizza, that will be his Father's Day present!

wish me luck....i am off to walmart. They are unloading a shipment at 1130 and they think they will have wii fits in it!!!!! Target got 8 in the first day they shipped and none since then. Game Stop got 10 in the first week and none since then and walmart is pretty close to that....when will Nintendo learn their lesson? It isn't nintendo that is making the money on ebay...which, the average wii fit is selling for 150.00 right now! (vs 90 in the stores)

I think in a couple of months, they will be very available1 I am going to wait......

Another fire has started in the Santa Cruz mountains. Calls for evacuations have been made. Just too scary and too much too soon. Paul just told me it is close to our church camp. Yikees!!! Please send prayers for containment our way.

Is the new Mariocart of WII hard to get?

I have heard it is, but I haven't looked for it myself. I would start by looking on line for it, it is sometimes easier that way.

yeah!!!!! congrats that feels good doesn't it. now get working on the party :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

Well, bad mom that I am, we aren't having her party until July 31. There is just too much going on with the end of school, all the other kids' parties and our work stuff....so in July we are taking Jaide and 2 of her friends to Great Wolf Lodge. It is a chain hotel with an indoor water park. It just opened a few months ago and is supposed to be a ton of fun. We'll celebrate her birthday with family on Sunday....joy of joys my IL's will be here!!!!!

Nan....hope it all gets contained very quickly. Wow, so early in the season...I would be more than glad to send you our rain and cold weather to help out.

Congrats Kaylee!!!

I'll try again tomorrow at the stores in Prince George. Right now though I'm not going to worry about it. I'll take the girls to the video store and let them rent a game and see how that works. So far I'm fine with the Wii Sports and Wii Play.

Boxing isn't being all that responsive however. Perhaps I need a flat screen TV so the sensor bar can sit in a better position ...

any suggestions if the WI Fi connection is worthwhile? I don't have a wireless router so I can't connect the Wii to the internet. I bought the internet connector for my PS2 but never used it. Is the Wii one worthwhile? I heard that you can download old games via the internet connection - anyone know what the average cost per game is that way? And for the techies, should I get the wireless G or the wireless N ("G" I can get for $39.99 whereas the "N" is about $89.99)?

Ken,

I'm a big fan of Wi Fi but not because of the Wii. Actually I don't see much point for the Wii except from time to time you can download "extras" if you want. You can also have weather and news updates. You can also easily update firmware.

My Wii is networked but I really never use that feature. I if you were had Wi Fi, you and I could play games together over the internet and send each other message, but a computer is easier.

Now I do think that WiFi is a MUST for the PS3. They seem to release regular software updates, plus there is online interactive gaming and web browsing. Plus, @Home is coming soon.

In addition, my PS3 streams music from the Macs and plays slide shows from iPhoto. Sukie and I were looking at our cruise photos on the TV the other day it was great.

So, in my humble opinion for the Wii, no. For the PS3, yes. For yourself, yes.
