I almost cried when I got to the part where they insulted Jews. I'm not Jewish, but my cousins are, and some of my friends are. And picketing FUNERALS? They disgust me to no end. God. This week has gone from bad to horrendous and hearing about this only made it worse. Heath was one of my favorite actors and that's what he was doing when he took the role of Ennis- he was acting. He was portraying a part in a movie based on a book about love. And if these guys can't accept love, then they need to re-read the bible.

I'm not easily offended. I'll take a lot before I'll speak up. But nothing will piss me off faster than bad mouthing soldiers.

My best friend is in the Army National Guard and is an assistant recruiter. I used to date a PFC in the guard, and he is one of a handful of people that I trust my life with. When my best friend wears anything NG related out in public, he'll get bad looks. When he's calling people on his recruiting list, he'll get yelled at. (you have to REQUEST INFORMATON to get on that list) I can't be around when he's doing that, it upsets me too bad.

Those boys are stronger people than most can take credit for. They could DIE defending that church's right to picket their funeral. I am more proud of those two boys than I am of anyone I know.

Its one thing to picket a funeral, but picketing a SOLDIER'S funeral is making me sick to think about.
