I called to cancel my ressie and they wanted to keep my money :furious:
I guess I will have to stay there whether I want to or not. :furious:

They are just slime!! Still have fun on your vacation :grouphug:

The paperwork you get from them isn't clear about their 14 day cancellation policy, but there is a small slip of paper that is included with your reservation that states you have 14 days after booking to cancel without any cancellation fees. They stick to this policy! They also tell you that you have 14 days to cancel without penalty when you make your reservation. They don't tell you what the penalty is, though.

Just remember to avoid any and all sales people while you are there except for the 90 minutes you may have agreed to as part of the rate. Don't forget the feeling of anger you have now so nothing they say could tempt you to buy. Even if you think that what you see is the greatest offer ever remember that you can buy it resale at 1/2 or less - never, ever consider a purchase of a timeshare at developer pricing. That goes double for anything from Westgate.

Other than that enjoy your trip as it actually isn't a bad resort.
