West Coast DME Voucher Dating Glitch

Just got our DME vouchers/tags in the mail today, but noticed that the date on the vouchers/tags said "9/23" and we arrive on "9/22"!

I called Disney and was assured that this is a glitch in their computer system that happens a lot to West Coast travellers whose flight leaves one one day and arrives at MCO on the next, and that I should go ahead and use the vouchers/tags and not worry about the date printed on them.

I need some assurance from other West Coasters or others who have worked though this "glitch". :confused3

Same thing happened to us  Hello  California here. I called ME and they assure me that everything was ok and to just cross out the date on the yellow tags and write your arrival date. They had our dates correct in the computer and that's what the bar code reads on the tag.

Hope you feel better now

Yup, same thing happened to us in May when we took the red eye. It happened again for this upcoming trip.

I'm glad you explained that it was a red eye glitch. I didn't understand why it kept happening.

Here's the other odd thing that happened for this trip. We got yellow luggage tags for our return flight OUT of MCO, and a booklet with our transportation vouchers for our DME bus back to MCO. Last time we just got tags for our incoming flight and the booklet covered both bus rides. This time we got two booklets one for our ride in and one for our ride out (with yellow luggage tags for our luggage going home). What is that all about?

Any chance you're doing a split-stay at 2 different WDW resorts, with two different reservation numbers??? That would explain the 2 separate DME mailings, one for each reservation number.

>>> tags for your luggage going home
The glitch caused the system to assume you were re-arriving on your return home day. Remove all yellow tags before going home, the yellow tags are not used for that purpose.

Always bring the matching tag book for the yellow tags you use.

At least last year, ME guests have received plastic souvenir luggage tags (not yellow) that can be used for any trip anywhere.
