Well, neither, or both, depending on how you look at it.

Father's hometown - NY, mother's hometown - Kansas.

My father was in the military, I grew up in Germany, Arizona, Texas, and California.

My parents grew up in the same hometown. I was raised about 1.5 hrs away.

It’s complicated…

I was born in the city my mom was raised in. Technically, the city where she was born doesn’t exist any more.

My dad was raised on the other side of the globe but we lived there for the first few years of my life.

We moved back here when I was five and have been here ever since.

Both. My parents were from the same small town in Alabama, although Mama lived in town, and Daddy in the county. I was born and raised in So Louisiana

My father's, but much closer to my mother's family. My father was from the north shore of WI, my mother is from NW Indiana. I grew up in Minneapolis. My father's family was all on the reservation in WI, my mother had an aunt in one of the first ring suburbs and her grandmother in Minneapolis as well.

My parents lived on the Northwest Kansas farm where my mom was born when I was born, although I arrived in a hospital about 30 miles away in Nebraska.

Mom and Dad grew up on farms about 30 miles from each other, and my childhood was spent in a small town almost exactly 30 miles east of there.

Thirty must be my family's magic number.

I grew up in the town my dad's family moved to when he was 12 or so. But my mom's hometown was only about a half hour from there as well.

Both! They lived in the town I grew up in Actually, I lived in multiple towns that my parents lived in as children.

Closer to Mom’s, but at 13 we moved to Dad’s hometown.

Pretty much the same, they were born one county apart (in a rural area).

I grew up 6,200 miles from where my dad was born in China. And 90 miles from where he moved when he was 3.

And 1,500 miles from where my mom was born and raised in Canada.

So closer to my mom's hometown.

Started out closer to Dad’s and moved to the house my Mom was born in and parents were married in when I was 14. Now live less than 10 minutes from parents.

Both parents grew up in the same town. They married and then moved less than 3 miles away to a different town, where we grew up.

Technically I guess my father’s childhood home is a little closer than my mother’s though. By about 1000 feet!

Mom's parents were about 150 miles closer, but both were almost 2000 miles away.

I had to google as they both grew up in different countries from me but looks like my dad was slightly closer in Trinidad than my Mom was in Spain .
