My Mom’s hometown.

Since my dad brought my mom over here from England, it would be my dad. He was born in Downieville (Sierra Mountains) and I grew up in Sacramento 90 minutes away

My Dad's parents ran a corner store diagonally across from my Mom's junior high in South Philly, which is how they met. I was brought up on the same street as where the corner store used to be, which was about two blocks from my Mom's childhood home. My people tended to stay in one area.

Mom and Dad are both from the same area and that is where I was brought up also.

Parents both were from the Beechview neighborhood in Pittsburgh. I started out there but grew up an hour north.

My kids grew up another half hour north of where I grew up. I was in a neighborhood, they grew up in the country where you could run naked in the yard and no one could see you.

I grew up a few blocks away from my dad’s childhood home, 15 miles away from the city my mom grew up in, a city where her grandparents landed from Ireland. We are living in the town I grew up in, in my husband’s childhood home. Our families have strong roots.

My dad's birthplace is about 110 miles away, but his family moved around a lot. My mom's hometown is about 136 miles away. They both moved to this area before they met. My brother, sister and I all stayed in this area because it's a great place to live.

I was closer to my Mom's hometown as I grew up there. Dad's adopted hometown was 2 towns over from my Mom's hometown. His original hometown was in Nova Scotia so that was a distance from Massachusetts.
