Did you have any problems getting tickets for Anna and Elsa, The Princess Meets or the Character Breakfast (if it was available)?

Last week on the Wonder the line was long to get tickets but looks like they still had open spots after embarkation day.

By the time we boarded the ship and I got up to the port adventures desk it was probably about two, and I still got tickets for the Princesses and Anna/Elsa no problem. This was on a three-day Dream cruise that I believe was sold out. I don't know if they had any Nassau day tickets left. They offered Castaway Cay day, so I just took that.

I called DCL yesterday about a possible character breakfast on our 7N Fantasy cruise in October. I was advised that at this time she showed no definite scheduled character breakfasts, but that if one became available that our dinner server would tell us on night one when our assigned breakfast would be. I asked if this meant there would most likely be a character breakfast and we would be assigned to a specific day and restaurant, and she said that is how it would work if there was one available during my cruise.

We are Platinum but got to the port to go on with Group 6. We had no problem getting A&E meet and greet. The meet itself was wonderful, not a long wait, and not rushed.

@afyoung, I don't think the responder was correct. I was recently on a 7-night Fantasy cruise, and you are not automatically enrolled for a character breakfast. You'll have to go to Port Adventures to pick up a ticket for the character breakfast. The ticket will tell you the date and time. (I might be wrong but I think the Disney Junior breakfast is now standard on all Fantasy sailings.)

To the OP: I was in Cabanas, perusing the Navigator, when I read to my horror that the Port Adventures desk was closing at 3:00. My watch said 2:50. I was not only pleasantly surprised how fast it was to get from Point A to Point B (the ship only *looks* huge), but I got tickets for the Disney Junior breakfast, the Anna and Elsa meet, and the Princess Gathering with no problem.

I was on the magic, but I went around 1pm or so on embarkation day and had my choice of days and times. There was plenty of availability.

We were on the Wonder for an Alaskan sailing Aug 2014. We went right to the customer service desk to book some wine tastings when we boarded around noon and asked what else we needed to book. The cast member suggested this character meet. We got our tickets and went to meet them. We had 2 people in line in front of us when we arrived for our allotted times. We had ample time to chat and get plenty of photos taken. We haven't done another meet and greet since so not sure what it is like these days.

Thanks for putting this poll together OP, this is something I have been curious about.

LennyMachine thanks for pointing out the 3:00 end of ticket distribution time I had forgotten about that.

One other thing I didn't expect, but it might interest people to know: Some tickets are distributed to each person in the stateroom, like the Disney Junior Character Breakfast. For the meet and greets, I got one ticket per entire stateroom, i.e., one ticket covers multiple people. It makes sense, I guess, because for breakfast, they need to know exactly how many people they are serving. For the meet and greets, the characters greet each stateroom as a group, so they count by number of groups rather than number of individuals.

Each event takes place multiple times during the cruise, at least if it's a 7-night. The crew member will specify what date and what time you get. There will be another crew member checking tickets, so you have to have them with you. For the Princess Gathering, the crew member let us in about 10 minutes early. The people in the other stateroom we were with ended up going to another event so I gave him the extra ticket to give away; he mentioned that he had, in fact, been turning people away from the event. For Anna and Elsa, the crew member was a little stricter and would not let us in until the time on our ticket. I didn't know that they give everybody different times, so I was a little nervous when I arrived in the Atrium for the Princess Gathering and there was already a considerable line.

I never did get used to the lines on the ship -- I was always thinking, "I just left Disney World to get away from lines, and now this again!" Ha ha ha . . .

We're on the Wonder in Nov, will there be Elsa and Anna meet n greets for pics? A ticketed event I assume? I think I read the frozen deck parties are Alaska sailings on the wonder, but just curious if they were there for at least pics on the Wonder?

Are the character greets and breakfast the only things you need to book as soon as you get on ship? Or are there other activities that book up early too that we should be aware of?

On the Christmas cruises there is gingerbread house making. You sign up at Guest Services (it's usually listed on the back page of the first Navigator, however, not on the front).

Also, Mixology and Tastings classes (those have a cost).
