I forgot to add in two pictures from the Tuesday night shopping excursion to DTD. When we were outside of the World of Disney, our little princess couldn’t resist stopping to pose with some other lovely ladies herself.
And what she is holding up in her hands is a little Lady figurine. That was her little purchase from the store. Since it was $5, I gave in. It was a little Lady figure, a little dog bowl and a tiny bone, all in a convenient little pouch. She loves Lady from Lady & the Tramp, even though she has never seen the movie. In fact, Santa brought her a big Lady stuffed animal on Christmas morning. I guess he got her letter this year, since that was the dog that she was asking for.
We can’t forget Cinderella too!
Now, back to the next day.
Wednesday morning we woke up bright and early and super excited to be spending the full day at the Magic Kingdom with our close family friends, Auntie Nini and Uncle G. We see them all the time back home because she is one of my closest friends and we were all excited to be going to Disney World together. And they were both sooo excited to be going with our little girl.
Now since they were not staying on property, we planned on meeting up at POR and then taking one car into the parks. They had a free hotel stay to use up, and who can blame them for not wanting to have to pay for a hotel room? More money for them to save up for their wedding and honeymoon! Plus their hotel came with a complimentary continental breakfast. So we grabbed our meal at the POR food court. I think we split a breakfast platter and a chocolate chip muffin. My husband needed his fill of Mickey waffles, and I need a bit chocolate in the morning. Our munchkin ate a little bit of everything.
Soon we were all piled into our little rental car and on our way to the Magical Kingdom! We were all in high spirits. How could you not? I mean, we were at the most magical place on earth with our best friends! A recipe for a perfect day! Of course we were going to make use of the photopass cd!
You can see that it was still a bit chilly. I definitely was not used to touring the parks and not sweating in the heat and humidity, but at times it was a very welcome change! Then it was time for the big group shot.
And the happy couple.
I had managed to get a hold of some “Just engaged” buttons to surprise them with and you can see that they are wearing them that morning. Auntie Nini was so excited to get them!
We walked inside, down Main Street and then it was time for the obligatory castle pics! This is when our first little bit of fun happened. Remember the buttons I just mentioned? Well, the PP photographer definitely noticed those and decided to have some fun with the happy couple. And I have to say, this is just what I was hoping would happen!
First comes the nice, cute picture.
Then she asked them to do a little kiss – practice for the big day, she said.
Then (and I was loving this all) she asked him to get down on one knee and pretend to propose.
And my best friend was eating it all up! She was in heaven and now she had a perfect picture to have forever!
Then apparently our little girl wanted to get in on the act.
Kisses for her too!
Funny how she would pose with them for a picture but when we tried to get another family shot, she got all bent out of shape. So instead of forcing her into that, I just decided to let her win that battle and head for Fantasyland instead. It was time to hit up some rides!
I don’t have a lot of pictures of all the attractions, but I know we went on It’s a Small World first. Since our girl sings that song all the time, it was a definite must do for everyone. All of the girls piled into the front of the boat and the boys took the last seat. They weren’t as excited about this attraction as us ladies.
It always makes me happy to be on this ride.
Who’s happy to be on Small World?
We had grabbed FP for Peter Pan on our way into Small World. When we were getting our PP fast passes, we happened to get bonus FP for Mickey’s Philharmagic for the upcoming show. So after Small World, we headed to the auditorium.
I was excited because I had never see Mickey’s Philharmagic before, neither had my husband or our little girl. A family first! Plus it was the first time our little princess was going to get to see a movie in 3-D.
Let me say – I loved it! Such a cute movie! And we absolutely loved watching our little girl’s reactions during the movie. It was so cute to watch her trying to grab all the objects. We were all cracking up watching her. And she kept asking us if Donald was going to be okay since he was stuck in the wall. Love her.
Up next, we checked out the line for Dumbo. I think it was a bit long, because the only photos I have of the flying elephant at this moment are actually of a stationary one.
Since the line for Dumbo was a tad long, we decided to head over to the tea cups. However, before we got to far, we needed to stop off for another photo op.
I absolutely loved all of the walls that had been put up during the Fantasyland construction. I kind of wanted to take my picture there as well, but totally forgot. Belle is my favorite princess and I would have loved a photo of me pretending to walk along that nice country path with a book.
How cute is the Beast?
I guess the sun is a bit bright out for our little girl. It’s just not quite that warm yet.
On to the teacups! It was going to be just us girls again as the boys get a bit dizzy and don’t tolerate these rides as well. Fine with us!
We are ready to go!
In case you can’t tell, we aren’t doing a whole lot of spinning.
There was a lot of pretending to spin since our little girl wanted to show us how strong she was by spinning the cup itself. So we didn’t spin quite as fast as some of the other teacups. Once again, I am not about to complain because everytime she goes on a ride, I am a happy camper.
Next up, we did a little splitting up. Auntie Nini and I headed off to the Haunted Mansion. I love going on that and was going to take full advantage of having more adults in the group. The boys decided to wander around a bit with our little girl since the HM line wasn’t that long.
Apparently, while I was visiting some grim grinning ghosts, the rest of the group came across a fun little party. Our little girl apparently was all excited to take part in this little jamboree.
See her little spotted skirt? She went right along with the nice cast member.
She never is one to miss out on a parade!
Is that Clarabelle out in front?
I like that all the different bears make an appearance from the Country Bear Jamboree.
I guess they played a little game of Hokey Pokey after the parade. I missed out on it all, but was happy to see a little video of it when I met back up with them. At least the time passed by quickly with them.
We then headed over to get FP for Big Thunder Mountain Railroad and Splash Mountain. Since the boys weren’t big on rides this day, we were able to get FP for both rides at the same time using all of our park passes. Score!
While we were in Frontierland, we came across the long line to meet Woody and Jessie. Our little girl was desperate to see them again, so we got in line. And this is where the best moment of the trip occurred! This is also the main reason for my writing this TR, to share this moment with you all. Once you read it, it may not be anything terribly out of the blue, but it was the ultimate moment for our little girl.
