We're touring Disney like a 3 year old (2TRs in 1!)- UPDATE 5/18 pg. 46

I like the way you all wander from WDW property.
It makes it seem like your vacation is relaxing and not all 24/7 go, go, go.
I guess I feel like we shouldn't leave the "borders" when we are there.
We hope to go for 10 days next year, so maybe we'll get off the property.
Your little girl is too cute:cutie:
Can't wait to read more.

Hi Amy!

We definitely tour the World differently now that we have the little one. We also have the luxury of having gone somewhat often in the past few years. The different car rides have become a part of our days so the little munchkin can sleep. Plus, we rent a car. When we went a few years ago without a rental car, we didn't leave the "boundaries" of Disney. We do a lot of resort hopping though. Thanks for reading!

I forgot to add in two pictures from the Tuesday night shopping excursion to DTD. When we were outside of the World of Disney, our little princess couldn’t resist stopping to pose with some other lovely ladies herself.

And what she is holding up in her hands is a little Lady figurine. That was her little purchase from the store. Since it was $5, I gave in. It was a little Lady figure, a little dog bowl and a tiny bone, all in a convenient little pouch. She loves Lady from Lady & the Tramp, even though she has never seen the movie. In fact, Santa brought her a big Lady stuffed animal on Christmas morning. I guess he got her letter this year, since that was the dog that she was asking for.

We can’t forget Cinderella too!

ry%3D400

Now, back to the next day.

Wednesday morning we woke up bright and early and super excited to be spending the full day at the Magic Kingdom with our close family friends, Auntie Nini and Uncle G. We see them all the time back home because she is one of my closest friends and we were all excited to be going to Disney World together. And they were both sooo excited to be going with our little girl.

Now since they were not staying on property, we planned on meeting up at POR and then taking one car into the parks. They had a free hotel stay to use up, and who can blame them for not wanting to have to pay for a hotel room? More money for them to save up for their wedding and honeymoon! Plus their hotel came with a complimentary continental breakfast. So we grabbed our meal at the POR food court. I think we split a breakfast platter and a chocolate chip muffin. My husband needed his fill of Mickey waffles, and I need a bit chocolate in the morning. Our munchkin ate a little bit of everything.

Soon we were all piled into our little rental car and on our way to the Magical Kingdom! We were all in high spirits. How could you not? I mean, we were at the most magical place on earth with our best friends! A recipe for a perfect day! Of course we were going to make use of the photopass cd!

ry%3D400

You can see that it was still a bit chilly. I definitely was not used to touring the parks and not sweating in the heat and humidity, but at times it was a very welcome change! Then it was time for the big group shot.

ry%3D400

And the happy couple.

ry%3D400

I had managed to get a hold of some “Just engaged” buttons to surprise them with and you can see that they are wearing them that morning. Auntie Nini was so excited to get them!

We walked inside, down Main Street and then it was time for the obligatory castle pics! This is when our first little bit of fun happened. Remember the buttons I just mentioned? Well, the PP photographer definitely noticed those and decided to have some fun with the happy couple. And I have to say, this is just what I was hoping would happen!

First comes the nice, cute picture.

ry%3D400

Then she asked them to do a little kiss – practice for the big day, she said.

ry%3D400

Then (and I was loving this all) she asked him to get down on one knee and pretend to propose.

ry%3D400

And my best friend was eating it all up! She was in heaven and now she had a perfect picture to have forever!

Then apparently our little girl wanted to get in on the act.

ry%3D400

Kisses for her too!

ry%3D400

Funny how she would pose with them for a picture but when we tried to get another family shot, she got all bent out of shape. So instead of forcing her into that, I just decided to let her win that battle and head for Fantasyland instead. It was time to hit up some rides!

I don’t have a lot of pictures of all the attractions, but I know we went on It’s a Small World first. Since our girl sings that song all the time, it was a definite must do for everyone. All of the girls piled into the front of the boat and the boys took the last seat. They weren’t as excited about this attraction as us ladies.

ry%3D400

It always makes me happy to be on this ride.

ry%3D400

ry%3D400

Who’s happy to be on Small World?

ry%3D400

We had grabbed FP for Peter Pan on our way into Small World. When we were getting our PP fast passes, we happened to get bonus FP for Mickey’s Philharmagic for the upcoming show. So after Small World, we headed to the auditorium.

I was excited because I had never see Mickey’s Philharmagic before, neither had my husband or our little girl. A family first! Plus it was the first time our little princess was going to get to see a movie in 3-D.

Let me say – I loved it! Such a cute movie! And we absolutely loved watching our little girl’s reactions during the movie. It was so cute to watch her trying to grab all the objects. We were all cracking up watching her. And she kept asking us if Donald was going to be okay since he was stuck in the wall. Love her.

Up next, we checked out the line for Dumbo. I think it was a bit long, because the only photos I have of the flying elephant at this moment are actually of a stationary one.

ry%3D400

Since the line for Dumbo was a tad long, we decided to head over to the tea cups. However, before we got to far, we needed to stop off for another photo op.

ry%3D400

I absolutely loved all of the walls that had been put up during the Fantasyland construction. I kind of wanted to take my picture there as well, but totally forgot. Belle is my favorite princess and I would have loved a photo of me pretending to walk along that nice country path with a book.

How cute is the Beast?

ry%3D400

I guess the sun is a bit bright out for our little girl. It’s just not quite that warm yet.

On to the teacups! It was going to be just us girls again as the boys get a bit dizzy and don’t tolerate these rides as well. Fine with us!

ry%3D400

We are ready to go!

ry%3D400

In case you can’t tell, we aren’t doing a whole lot of spinning.

ry%3D400

There was a lot of pretending to spin since our little girl wanted to show us how strong she was by spinning the cup itself. So we didn’t spin quite as fast as some of the other teacups. Once again, I am not about to complain because everytime she goes on a ride, I am a happy camper.

Next up, we did a little splitting up. Auntie Nini and I headed off to the Haunted Mansion. I love going on that and was going to take full advantage of having more adults in the group. The boys decided to wander around a bit with our little girl since the HM line wasn’t that long.

Apparently, while I was visiting some grim grinning ghosts, the rest of the group came across a fun little party. Our little girl apparently was all excited to take part in this little jamboree.

See her little spotted skirt? She went right along with the nice cast member.

ry%3D400

She never is one to miss out on a parade!

ry%3D400

Is that Clarabelle out in front?

ry%3D400

I like that all the different bears make an appearance from the Country Bear Jamboree.

ry%3D400

I guess they played a little game of Hokey Pokey after the parade. I missed out on it all, but was happy to see a little video of it when I met back up with them. At least the time passed by quickly with them.

We then headed over to get FP for Big Thunder Mountain Railroad and Splash Mountain. Since the boys weren’t big on rides this day, we were able to get FP for both rides at the same time using all of our park passes. Score!

While we were in Frontierland, we came across the long line to meet Woody and Jessie. Our little girl was desperate to see them again, so we got in line. And this is where the best moment of the trip occurred! This is also the main reason for my writing this TR, to share this moment with you all. Once you read it, it may not be anything terribly out of the blue, but it was the ultimate moment for our little girl.

cont.

I think I may have mentioned it before, but our little girl has told me on many occasions that she wants to be Jessie when she grows us. She was Jessie for Halloween. Toy Story 3 was the first movie that she ever saw in a movie theater. She strikes her Jessie pose all the time for pictures. Our little girl LOVES Jessie.

So even though the line was probably about 30-40 minutes long, we waited. I had also brought along something at our little girl’s request. Her Jessie costume. So while we waited in line, we put her costume on.

She is getting more and more excited the closer we get. It’s not like we didn’t meet the duo just a few days ago. But like I said, she is a huge fan. She was so good at being patient and she didn’t even complain when the stopped the line at her.

ry%3D400

Yup, Jessie and Woody had to go in for a quick break and they cut the line right before she got her chance to meet them. While we waited for them to come back out, the Pp photgrapher decided to get some extra pictures of our cowgirl. Of course she struck the pose.

ry%3D400

ry%3D400

She also has the sparkly red cowboy boots to go along with the outfit, but I was not packing those in our suitcase. So we had to make do with the sneakers.

Then came the moment we were waiting for. Woody comes around the bend and…..he stops short before he gets to the fence. He got a look at our little cowgirl and decided that Jessie needed to see her first. (I’m totally getting teary just thinking of it all over again). So he stayed near the fence and let Jessie come in first. As soon as she came around the corner, our little girl took off! You know there was a big hug on the way!

ry%3D400

She was sooooo happy!

ry%3D400

I wish I had gotten that portion on video, but I was too busy sniffling and smiling. I finally did get my act together part way through the meet to start the video on my camera.

I love Woody in the background.

ry%3D400

ry%3D400

Woody wanted his own hug too.

ry%3D400

ry%3D400

Then they were about to walk over to the “picture spot” when our little girl stopped. And why did she stop? Because she was going to strike the Jessie pose.

ry%3D400

It seriously was the best moment. Jessie jumped in behind and struck the same pose. Woody, meanwhile, was dying over in the corner.

ry%3D400

Apparently our little girl had stolen Woody’s heart.

ry%3D400

ry%3D400

Then they finally made their way over for the formal pictures.

ry%3D400

Of course there were more hugs.

ry%3D400

ry%3D400

and one last hug for Jessie.

ry%3D400

I will try to get the video posted soon if anyone is interested. Also, if anyone is a big Woody fan or has a little one with a big Woody fan, make sure you yell out “There’s a snake in my boot!” My best friend did that and he was hilarious when he heard that.

ry%3D400

You will also see on the video that she did not want to leave. She was just soaking it all up. I felt a little bad towards the end because the line was so long to see them, and she was taking up a good chunk of time. But seriously, this is what going to Disney is all about. Moments like this. Where you see your little one’s face light up with elation. The best moment of our trip, hands down. :cloud9:

That is the sweetest thing in the world. We had a simular moment with my DS and lightning McQueen and Mater. He wanted so bad to stay and play. I love that the little ones go to Disney and see all their really good friends. :lovestruc

Thank you for sharing that precious moment! I got teary eyed reading your entry!! :cutie:

Those pictures right there are the perfect answer to "Why should I take a child under five to WDW?"

They are the sweetest pictures! I love the Jessie pose!

These are the cutest and sweetest pictures ever!!! I know I'd LOVE to see that video! How wonderful and special a moment for all of you! :goodvibes:goodvibes:goodvibes

Aw, thanks! I have been so excited to share this particular moment with y'all on the Dis. I will try to post the video in the next post. It was such a great moment for all of us! :goodvibes

I know! The world is just so magical for the little ones. I felt bad because the line for Woody and Jessie was so long and she took up so much time. You know, usually the meet and greets are fast - sign books, hug, pose for pic, done. We were there for quite a few minutes.

Thank you for sharing that precious moment! I got teary eyed reading your entry!! :cutie:

Aw, thanks Dawn! I know I have it posted on FB and my blog and whatnot, but I couldn't wait to share all the details here on the Dis. I knew people here would truly "get" the feeling of it all and the magic. :cloud9: Believe me, we were teary eyed watching it all unfold.

Those pictures right there are the perfect answer to "Why should I take a child under five to WDW?"

My thoughts EXACTLY! Thank you! People always tell me that she is so young and that she won't remember. She definitely remembers this moment and her Annie moment. Thank you so much!

So sweet!! Love love love these!

Thanks so much! :goodvibes It was a great moment. Pure Disney magic.

So since I got some positive feedback and before I am MIA for a bit, I am going to try to post the video. As I mentioned in the post, I didn't start the video until halfway through the interaction so I missed the big hug in the beginning. But we got the pose. The voice you hear laughing and egging on Woody would be my best friend because she is loving every moment of it. I hope you like it!

That video was adorable and it really made me miss having a little one! Thanks for posting the video and have a wonderful time on your trip!:goodvibes

Oh. My. Gosh. You got me crying over here! Happy tears though! That was absolutely the most adorable meet 'n greet ever! I just felt the love and excitement. I completely understand because this was the same feeling I got when Little Guy met Buzz. I think you remember that moment from my TR. I'll go back and find the pic of them posing the same just like your little one and Jessie. Thanks for sharing this moment!!! :cutie:

Here it is!!

I'm here! Late, but here now.

I guarantee that we probably crossed paths several times. We were at the MK for the MVP parade, we were just further down the street then you were.

We were also at the MK when you were there when your DD met Jessie again in her Jessie getup. She is just sooooo cute! :cloud9:

Awwww... that is just such an adorable meet and greet. She definitely did not want to go. And I love the video! I think my favorite part was when your friend yells out "There's a snake in my boot!" and Woody just jumps back and goes a bit crazy, so funny. It was very cute seeing your daughter and Jessie pose together, adorable! Moments like this are what make Disney so special and unique.

I'm behind a couple of updates but I just want to say that is the sweetest and most adorable meet 'n' greet I have ever seen! Moments like that show what a Disney trip is all about. Thanks for sharing! :goodvibes
