We're Staying OFFSITE! An October '14 PTR!

Sounds like a great plan!

That is cool that it let you go ahead and make fastpasses.

I was so surprised! I selected both my name and my mom's and it immediately came up as available. I have no idea how.

Yay for FP+ being DONE! I think you ended up with some good ones! I don't think it would erase the ones it let you make for your mom and you. I don't see why it would! So fingers crossed on that!

Your trip sounds very laid back and relaxing...lol, the opposite of mine! :rotfl:

I'm worried that once the offsite 30 days out portion opens up it will delete the FP+ I made 60 days out. I hope you're right and it doesn't happen. I don't see why it would either.

Omg, I feel like we are going to be go go go! Our only real downtime is Thursday morning (after four crazy days) and Friday (and we'll still probably be go-going that day too). I am going to need a vacation from my vacation for sure. I think I'll get relaxation on my solo days though.

Sounds good to me! The ultimate tour sounds so awesome!

We're really excited about the tour. I wait every day for them to tell me it's cancelled due to non-interest or something, just because we want to go on it so much! It's a steep price, so I do worry that they'll cancel it if people aren't interested, but so far no refunds have shown up on my credit card so I guess we're still a go!

I can't believe that you got to make your FP+ selections for the beginning of the trip too - that's so awesome! I can't imagine they'd take them away from you once you've already made them.

Your selections look great! I don't know if you'll be able to get a 7DMT FP+ on your first day, but waiting on line may be worth it, assuming they're still letting people on the line right before it closes (I imagine they probably will, but I've never been there on a night when it closes early for MNSSHP, so I don't know if they cut off the lines earlier those days).

Sounds like it's going to be a great trip!

That's what we were thinking - that if we can pop in the line right at closing it would be perfect.

I really hope it's a great trip. Here's praying we don't get sick / get hurt / have a hurricane.

I always say disney is not really a vacation, it's a trip! My hubby actually is taking a vacation after we get back to recharge before starting work again, lol...

You are so right that it's a trip and not a vacation! I don't know of any vacations where you walk 10 miles a day! :)

I am SOOOO ready to go. Part of me wishes it was farther away so I could anticipate it more, but the other part is ready for it to be tomorrow!

Just a quick update, nothing major!

The "factors" that I've been talking about for so long now have finally come to fruition and it is a best case scenario for me! I'm so glad! So, my extra days at WDW are a definite go, as is my possibility of renting points (still not clear if my FP+ will disappear if I do this), and I'm still waiting on the AP discount to see if there's anything else I might like instead of Pop. This is now a possibility.

We're also seriously looking at getting Memory Maker now. With the addition of the ToT VIDEO - yes seriously!! - this might be something we want to do!!

My move is coming up soon and I'm so nervous and excited too.

So much going on!

Sounds like you're pretty busy.
I'm so happy for you that everything is working out!

I just heard about the ToT videos on Memory Maker ... definitely adds a lot to the value! I'm still not sold on it (mostly because I don't download that many of the Disney pictures), but I'm starting to see why people might like it and what Disney is doing to make it worth the price.

Yay!! I am excited for videos of ToT too!! I watched it today and it's neat the way they did it! They also may add that feature to other rides soon! I hope so, really soon!!

Thank you; I am so so happy that all my factors have come together. A huge weight has lifted off my shoulders.

I am really, really thinking about MM now. I'd love to have pictures for us from all the rides and also from 1900 PF!!!!

Oooooh, where did you see videos??? Do tell!

Just a quick check in - haven't been in here for a couple of days.

Passholder discounts came out, and just as fast as they came they went. Pretty much all of the resorts are booked up for discounts for my extra onsite days, so it looks like a Pop pool view room is in my future! I looked into renting points, but pretty much everything is booked up in studios, too. I'm ok with that, I really like Pop!

I'll request the bowling pin pool area, that seems to be my favorite! Plus I prefer the bowling pin pool to the others.

In other news, it looks like I am pretty much done planning. I check every day for a Tomorrowland Terrace Fireworks Party reservation, but they just aren't opening up. I also check every day to see if we can change the time on our 7DMT FP+ for our MNSSHP day, but so far no dice. I just don't expect anything to change majorly!

This being said, here are my detailed plans for day 1!

We'll arrive at MCO around 1 o'clock, flying SW. Our rental car starts at 1:30; I hope to have our baggage and our car and be leaving the airport around 2.

Best case scenario, we arrive at our hotel by 3 and they let us check in. Fingers crossed! Our plan is to head down the street to a grocery store / Target / Wal-Mart and grab some provisions, then come back and drop them off and head to Magic Kingdom!

We have FP+ for Peter Pan from 4-5; we MIGHT miss this one, but that's ok. We'll do a couple rides in NF (thinking LM, IASW, general wandering) until our FP at 5-6 for HM. After HM, we'll head to Splash and wait in line, then use our FP+ for BTMRR at 6-7.

After that, it's time to leave. The party will be starting and we won't have tickets, and I'm sure we'll want to do some shopping before the 7 p.m. time comes up. We'll shop on Main Street until 7 p.m., when we'll take the car back to the hotel, unpack, and then call a cab to go to DTD!

Plans at DTD are as follows: I have at least one DDB I want to buy, and my mom wants to get me a charm for my Pandora/Chamilia bracelet for my birthday, so we'll be going to the Co-Op for sure. Mom wants a scrub from Basin; usually we get the "buy two and get a discount" deal, so we'll probably do that too. Then we want to find someplace to stop and get a drink and relax at the beginning of our vacation!

The next day will be moderately busy; I'll be posting on that soon!

In other news, it looks like I am pretty much done planning.

That's possible? I'm glad you've got all the planning done - now you can spend the next month or so relaxing!

Day 1 plans look great. I hope everything works out according to plan (especially the car rental, which I know can be annoying sometimes - but hopefully it will go smoothly for you).

So I go away for one week and look how chatty you are! ;) I'm pretty sure I am all caught up.

Love your Dooney collection. I am more of a causal purse girl (I have on of the IASW LeSportSac bags that I have been carrying forever) but I am hoping someday there is a Dooney that speaks to me enough to purchase it! Can't wait to see what new one you get!

Wow...FP completed? You are really in sit back and relax mode! Fingers crossed for you that all your choices stick!

We too always say that we want to eat at San Angel so I will be excited to hear how it goes! Hoping the food is a pleasant surprise and the atmosphere is as perfect as it looks!

Sorry that the AP discount/point renting isn't going to work out but really extra days at Disney are great no matter where you are. I couldn't imagine being with a family of 4 at POP (although I would if I had too...) but for 1 or 2it is perfect....and plenty of action so you won't feel alone. ;)

Wow! Thats crazy that you could do FP+ at 60 days! Some nice pixie dust for you! Hopefully they won't vanish! Did you get up at midnight to do them?

Looks like its all coming together for you! Soooo much fun! And really starting to creep up! yay!!

Thanks! It's the most detailed as I get. :)

I'm most worried about the car rental! That will take up the most time, telling them how NO we don't need more insurance and NO we don't want an upgrade.

Welcome back!

I'm so excited to see if I can find the placement that I want on the DDBs. I hope I can - but if I don't I won't buy one. I am VERY picky about placement.

Aw, I love the IASW LeSportSacs!!

I will get plenty of pictures of the San Angel meal. I hope I don't need my flash. ;)

I can't imagine sitting 4 at Pop; but as a party of 1 or 2, it's perfectly comfortable and I really enjoyed myself there on my last trip!

I know! I look every day to see if they took them away from me. I'm just so surprised that I was able to make FP+ for mom too at 60 days out. It will only let me set FP+ for 7 days and I'll be there for 11, but I don't mind picking day-of FP+ on my own days. Plus we're going to US/IOA one day and don't need them.

I didn't get up at midnight; I am far too serious about my beauty sleep to do that.

It IS creeping up! For us both!

Day 2!

This is an Epcot morning with a HS evening.

We plan on being bright and early to Epcot! We'll be heading over to Soarin' first thing; I guess we'll see if there's a SB line or an SB+. No idea what will be there when we get there.

We want to do Soarin if we can (we're not too crazy about it like some are) and then TT, SE, and the Mexico ride. It looks like Maelstrom is closed during our trip - boo! - so we will mostly explore around the lake.

[edited]I said before that I didn't know if we'd go to the condo for lunch or not - I COMPLETELY FORGOT we're eating at San Angel Inn Restaurante in Mexico this trip! So at 12:30 we'll be there!!

Then, back to HS for the nighttime! 3:30 - 4:30 is our Muppet Vision 3D FP+!

Then - of course - at 4:30 - 5:30 our TSMM FP+ come due!

After TSMM, we will probably queue for ToT, and then ride it again when our time comes around at 5:30 - 6:30:

We'll be done for the day then. I am hoping to see HS in a the twilight; it's my favorite. But we need to get home and rest for our major Ultimate Day of Thrills tour the next day!

everything sounds great so far! I have yet to go into basin when we're there, but I really want too! and having a drink somewhere to start your vacation sounds like an awesome idea!!!

did I read somewhere that you ARE doing a TR for this trip when you get back? if not, I hope you come back to tell us how your ultimate tour and san angel was! id love to hear about those!

Great plan for Day 2.

Can't wait to be back at Epcot again! ;)

Basin is a good place to spend all your souvenir money. ;)

I am planning on doing a TR for sure; I'm just hoping I get enough pictures and can remember enough to do one! I am wondering how my phone will hold up with 11 days of pictures on it. It's 32 gb but I do have movies and stuff on it. I think I will clear it out as much as I can and then be stingy with videos. I always take the same videos of the same rides and I just don't think I need ANOTHER ride through of TTA! That should get me through.

Day 3 is our Ultimate Day of Thrills tour. From disneydining:

The Ultimate Day of Thrills – Walt Disney World VIP Tour Experience is held on select days. It also starts at the Magic Kingdom, where thrill seekers will ride Big Thunder Mountain, Haunted Mansion, Seven Dwarfs Mine Train, Space Mountain, and Splash Mountain. Then it’s time for lunch at one of the resorts. Next the tour will hit Disney’s Hollywood Studios, where they will ride Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster, Star Tours, Tower of Terror, and Toy Story Midway Mania!. They’ll end the tour at Disney’s Animal Kingdom, where they will ride Expedition Everest and DINOSAUR.

The tour starts at 8:15, and we are to be at the Tomorrowland Terrace Restaurant at 8. This means in order to be SURE we make it on time, Mom and I will be arriving at the TTC at 7 a.m. - we'll leave our condo at 6:40 a.m. YIKES! :scared1: That's early on vacation! That will be enough time, right? I'm trying to schedule in monorail breakdowns!

I'm told the lunch is at WL, where I've never been. Supposedly it's at WCC. I sure hope so; I had to give them my food allergy information; hope there's good stuff for me to eat.

After the tour (if it's 7-8 hours, we should be done around 2-3 p.m.), we will probably head back to the condo for a Disney nap, then we will finish our night with Epcot!

We have FP+ for Figment at 5:30-6:30; we probably will head to Epcot around 5:45 or so, so we might miss this FP+ with traffic factored in. After JII, we have SE and Soarin'. We will also go through the single rider line at TT, so that means we will hit all the major rides at all four parks in one day. Glad Disney is doing most of the driving on tour day! Also glad we get to skip the lines on this day. I will definitely be excited to report back on this tour; it's what we're most looking forward to.

We won't stick around for Illuminations - boo - because the next day is ALSO a big day - US/IOA Harry Potter day!

Oh, and guess what! I "won" the master bedroom at SVR! ;) My mom and I were talking about it, and I'll simply be up later than her to use the tub later; otherwise, I'd be in there lounging when she was trying to sleep. She says she's letting me have the master suite because I did all the planning. :cloud9: Isn't that awesome of her? I'm so excited to have the jacuzzi tub all to myself; I used the one at BWV every single night in November.
