Today dawned bright and beautiful. We decided to go to MGM this morning. We loaded Stephen pockets with my snacks and walked to MGM,. We had ceased to take ponchos since Sunday afternoon, and never needed them all week.

As we walked I finished my leftover turkey leg (it's been in the fridge) and an egg bagel. Stephen munched on pop tarts. We arrived at about 9:45.

We started with Tower of Terror, two times. This is the best ride to do first thing in the morning. There are a lot of first time riders at this time. By afternoon, everyone has ridden it once or twice, but mornings are great. Both times we had a ton of new riders. A woman, about 55 or so, was talked into riding by her husband. She asked us, as we were getting ready to load, if this was scary. That's such a hard question to answer on this ride. I said, "Yes, if you're afraid of the dark, and unexpected drops. No, if you like that sort of thing." She glared at her husband, but I assured her it's fun. When the ride was over, Stephen turned around and asked if she liked it. The look she was giving her husband was priceless. He figured they'd better head over to the Great Movie Ride to make up for it. She said, "No sir, it'll take more than that. I'm thinking Brown Derby." She said she wouldn't return. It was pretty funny, and she really did have a good attitude.

After ToT, we headed over to the Animation Tour. I love this and Stephen puts up with me and does it. I loved seeing stuff about Brother Bear. The animator that drew for us was really personable.

It was about 11:30, so we decided to get an early lunch. Sci Fi Diner, here we come. We'd never been here before, but I wanted to check it out. We got the back seat of a car. The theming was fun, but the food was not that great for the price you pay. Stephen had a burger, and I had a chicken sandwich. I asked if I could order off the children's menu, and the server brought me one, but seemed annoyed that I'd asked. He then stood there while I looked at it, instead of leaving and coming back. I felt really rushed to make a decision, and just ordered off the adult menu since I'd already decided what I liked there. I don't know why he was rushed, there was hardly anyone there since it was so early. I ate 1/2 of my sandwich, but didn't take the rest with me after the Haunted Mansion ordeal. I'm glad we tried it, but I doubt we'll be back.

From here we tried Who Wants to Be a Millionaire. Stephen made it on the board, but not #1. Then off to the the backlot tour. This is another thing I like to do that Stephen just puts up with.

My goal today was to see Beauty and the Beast and get there early enough to see Four for a Dollar. We wasted some time in the shops and then headed to the theater. Got great seats, and really enjoyed both the preshow and the show. The thing I liked the best was two sign language interpreters that were interpreting the show. I have always wanted to learn sign language, and was having a hard time watching the show because I was watching them. They not only interpreted the show, but they acted it out as well. They were phonomenal. I am now looking into going to college to learn sign language and learn how to interpret shows too.

We went back to our room via the boat and arrived about 4:00. I took a nap, and then got ready for the evening (Cirque du Soleil), but not before checking my cell phone for messages. This is when I got the third bad news.

As I said in the pretrip report, my car was in the shop getting the airbag fixed when we left. I was able to get Kimmi a car from a friend until my car was done. She had picked it up on Tuesday evening. Now, remember the accident with Chris' truck, and my advice to pull it into the driveway until it got towed? Bad, bad, bad idea. My car is a little baby blue New Beetle. It's a limited edition color, only 2000 were made. It also has bad blind spots that took me awhile to get used to. The truck has huge bumpers that stick out on the side. Can you see where I'm going? When Kimmi left for work this morning, she hit Chris' truck with my car. Crunched in the back end pretty bad. She had left me three messages, crying in every one, but didn't tell me what was wrong. Just that I needed to call her as soon as possible because something terrible had happened. I kept thinking someone was hurt or dead, or something. I was actually relieved when I heard it was my car. Then it hit me, but I wasn't mad. She didn't do it on purpose; she wasn't being irresponsible; she wasn't drinking or anything. She just backed out crooked and hit his truck. I just got an estimate for repairs. $1,500. Wow. But thank God she was not hurt, and that was the end of our bad news. Three cars wrecked in less than a week. I think that may be a record. I assured her we weren't mad. Told her to stop beating herself up and tried to take a nap. I really wasn't mad, but I just couldn't believe all that had happened. It took me awhile to let go.

On with the report! I had a gift certificate for Rainforest Cafe from MyPoints, so we headed to Downtown Disney. Put in our name about 6:05, and were seated by 6:30. We spent that time browsing the store, and seeing the birds they have out front. Dinner was good, but I don't know if I'd eat there if I didn't have a GF. Stephen has a hard time finding something he likes there. He's a picky eater. We were finished by 7:30, and walked around a bit. I decided to buy a sweatshirt I'd been eyeing in the World of Disney store because I was chilled, and afraid I'd get cold in the Cirque theater. No need, I was quite comfortable, but I really love the sweatshirt.

The show was amazing. We were in the second section from the left, second row up, but I don't think there is a bad seat in the house. Stephen got a coke in a refillable cup. You can refill it througout the show for free. We never left our seats though. So much happens at one time, I know I missed something while looking the other way. This was well worth the money. I would forego a fancy meal, and use the money to see this show instead. Incredible. There is supposed to be a story line, but I didn't get it, and it was still good. I am planning on buying my daughter, Sarah, tickets when she goes on her honeymoon next year.

We got back to our room at about 11:00. It was a great day despite the third bad news. For some reason, I had this feeling nothing else bad was going to happen, so was able to relax. I slept while Stephen watched ESPN. I know, I know, you would've never guessed.

Tomorrow we sleep in and explore more of Epcot.

Sounds like a great day, with the exception of your banged up car! Bummer. I'm glad your daughter wasn't hurt though- listening to those messages must have scared you!

Wonderful report ~ Thanx for sharing.

Enjoying your report. Glad the bad news is behind you.

i'm glad all of the bad news is behind you!!!

we're hoping to take in cirque next year...glad to hear that you enjoyed it!!

enjoying your trip reports...however, I really can not believe your bad news with all the car accidents. How depressing.
But at least your trip is going well.

Denise:D

Your definately in need of your vacation if just to get away from the vehicles. Glad to hear that no one was injured. I have always just thought that people when leaving messages should just spit out what they need to say regardless of what it is that happened. Most of the time it is trivial stuff but it always makes you think the absolute worst in the meantime.

Wishing you the best for the rest of your vacation. Just go get another Kaki Gori already, you certainly deserve it.
