We're Here!

And we're loving every minute. Right now, the fam is shopping at Downtown Disney and I'm in the room, with the slider open, listening to the sounds of kids in the Redwood pool! We're on day three or seven. We have three more park days (today was a day off), which will go by quickly. We're missing freak snow storms in Western WA.

Did you drive or fly? You are right about the snowstorms - we are in Southern Washington and have about 6 inches with another 4 inches expected tonight. I take it that it is warmer there? Have a splash in the pool for me - ride splash mountain for me too please!!!

Hope to be there tomarrow afternoon. Crossing fingers that there is not too much snow in Vancouver. We fly out in the early afternoon, came over from Victoria vix ferry to stay the night. Wish us luck. Hows the weather? It's -8 about now and thats without the wind factor.

Good wishes sent to those flying! We flew out of SeaTac on Wednesday night. Our county was hit hard, but once we got into Seattle, there was nothing!! Evidently, that's not so right now.

The temp is a bit chilly, but warmer than home! Sort of like PNW spring weather. DH is sitting by the pool with the kids as they swim...and our kids are not the only ones swimming! Heck, they swim in colder weather in the summer at camp!

I've worn a fleece and a t-shirt all three day in the park. Our kids HATE coats, so they are walking around in t-shirt. The So Cal people look at them like they are crazy!

Get down here! You'll love that feeling of thawing out!

Have fun! Enjoy NOT being in the snow...I fell 3 times while walking to and from the store today.

I had a long conversation with a janitorial CM on our first day earlier this month, as I walked out of the locker area in just my t-shirt and pants after stashing my coat...she was bundled up like, well, like I was here today in 21 degrees, and thought I had lost my mind.

Western WA here too........we have over 8 inches now. PDX is having problems right now....should clear up by the time you get home. Enjoy your time at the park.

Big snow storm coming in tonight for us near Vancouver BC. They used the word blizzard!! tonight and all day tomorrow.... they are saying up to 20cm which is about 8 inches, but they underestimated the last one by quite a lot for us, so I'm worried about this one. I'm all stocked up on everything, and have all the christmas shopping done so we are good here until Christmas! But we are supposed to be leaving in 10 days, driving down, and I'm really praying hard this rediculous weather will be over with by then! they said on the news tonight, it was 1969 last time it got this cold here... it was -15C which is only 5F this morning!!! absolutely unacceptable!!

It is really cold here now, you missed the rain last week and the heat wave (80 degrees) the week before. Crazy, huh? Enjoy your trip, looking forward to a TR.

We are sitting in the airport in Vancouver and just got thru the 1 hour check in process....Now if the plane will get her. We're suppose to depart at 12:20 but it has been delayed till 12:35 so far. Can't wait for that warm weather

We should be checking into the GCH in a couple hours. I want to be there around noon or so. We'll have our LGMHs on!

Wearing brown sweater set and jeans. 3 yr old in Hot Fuschia Satien Princess sweat suit jacket and jeans, 2 yr old in Purple and aqua sweater and jeans. Hubby in Brown and Jeans, too. We'll be at Goofy's Kitchen at 6pm tonight.

We'll be in the lobby sometime tonight getting Santa photos all in fancy clothes (except hubby)!

I am down in portland! And yes...this weather is crazy! I'm done with it though. Snow every day for a week is quite enough, now hearing it may last into next weekend as well Lets hope it does warm up midweek! I know most people want a white christmas but I sure dont lol We have 21 inches worth of snow drift up against our back door and my son keeps begging to go out in play in it. Hope you are enjoying your vacation! We went last week during the rain but the sun felt warm at least...cant wait for your TR. Jealous you are at the grand right now

I've been watching the webcams on I5 through Portland, Salem, etc....looks really bad! maybe even a bit worse than us! I agree completely Krissy.... that's quite enough now! we live on the west coast for a reason! if we wanted to struggle with snowy winters, we'd all move to the interior, or the midwest!! lol.... I want to see my poor palm tree again! it's covered in snow right now.

I am in Kenmore, WA (30 min drive or so from Seattle) and we have over a foot of snow everywhere in my neighborhood. I wish I was somewhere warm! I have been stuck at home since Wednesday, missed 2 days of work, and will probably have to miss work tomorrow too :-( I used to love the snow. Now I am reconsidering.

Well, it's 5:21am on our last morning at the GCH. We've checked our flight, and it is on, so hopefully, by 3pm tonight, we'll be snug in our house, getting ready for Christmas day.

Our neighbors report that the main roads are fine, but getting into our neighborhood is tricky. Thank heaven for 4 wheel drive.
