OK, we were here last year at the same time, I remember Monday being pretty light and Tuesday slightly busier, again Wednesday busier still... Today we walked in and there were crowds everywhere!!! We barely rode anything. We decided that Pooh wouldn't have a long wait (we usually walk right on), the wait was 20 minutes, so we got in line and there was a ride stop as soon as we were next at the gates to get on!!! We're taking a break at the DLH right now, Max is nuts, he's going to swim (it's COLD out there), then we're going back in for fireworks and snow.
We're HERE And It Is Packed!!!

oooooooooooh man!!! We leave tomorrow to drive down. I can only begin to think of what its going to be like on Wednesday! YIKES!!

Just reporting back... we went back to Disneyland around 8:20 via Monorail. We used our Buzz Lightyear Fast Passes, very quick (better than the 40 minute wait we had earlier in the day when Max just couldn't wait until our FP time.
We went out to the hub to stake out a spot for fireworks... we got a very good spot about 30 minutes before showtime - not bad at all! After that we grabbed a bucket of popcorn and a soda and headed to iaswh, I thought the wait might be long right after fireworks since a lot of people watch them from back there, but we probably had a 5 minute wait. Then it was time to brave the biggie... the SUBS!!! The line didn't look as horrible as it had all day, so we got in. I asked how long the wait was and the CM told me it would be about 45 minutes. It ended up being 35 minutes, so I feel better now! hahaha We had a good night and we're beat... actually, Max has already crashed - he lost a tooth at the airport this morning so I have to try to get it out from under his pillow and put money from the tooth fairy there. He is really excited because he thinks the tooth fairy here at the DLH will be Tinker Bell. I secretly got a Tink pressed penny today so I'm going to leave it with his money.

Awww.....it would be cute if the fairy had a little glitter for under the pillow.
But tooth fairies aren't always prepared for these little things, and everything will be fine!!
My Dd's first tooth fell out when Dh was driving to working!! The fairy got caught without a full pouch of coin. All the tooth fairy could do was put the five dollars under her pillow!!

oh how cute is that. Georgia would be sooo excited for that! Poor kid, I dont think she will lose a tooth this year. She has late teeth. As did I.

Wanna hear something even sweeter??? He gave the pressed penny to me!!! Tink left $5 (the tooth fairy at home only gives $1) because everything at Disneyland costs more!!! hahaha He couldn't wait for the Lego Store to open at 10:00 this morning.
So today we were supposed to do EE, but since we were out until Midnight last night I couldn't rouse Max early enough - not that I tried very hard... I was up until 1am and just didn't sleep very well - then after the 6am wakeup call I decided I didn't care if we went early or not... so I let Max sleep, but unfortunately I couldn't get back to sleep.
We just lounged around until about 9:30 and then went into DCA through the Grand Californian entrance around 9:50. We grabbed Fast Passes for Soarin' Over California, but there was already quite a line so we didn't ride. We went back out to DTD to hit the Lego Store before breakfast at Goofy's Kitchen.
So, long story short... we didn't really get into the parks until around noon. We hit DCA today - spent quite a long time in the Redwood Creek Challenge Trail, then rode Soarin', Jumpin' Jellyfish, Sun Wheel, did the Tortilla and Bread tours, Monsters Inc., and Animation Building - we drew Donald, Max was entranced and amazed by the Zoetrope (it is VERY cool), and I was utterly enchanted with the Snow White exhibit. I LOVE Snow White. I was thrilled to find the special 70th Anniversary pins, but I really wanted a magnet and coffee mug too - I was told that those particular items didn't even make it to the event... maybe we'll see them in the future.
We didn't have very long waits for anything in DCA today.
I took Max to Pinocchio's Workshop at 6pm and I headed straight to the single rider line at California Screamin'. From there I hightailed it to Disneyland and walked onto Pirates... there was a 5 minute wait posted (it was parade time) and I went to the left... when I got to the front there was a very, very short ride on the right, but absolutely no one ahead of me on the left, yay! Then I went to HMH - there were fast passes for 7:40 - it was 7:00 at that time. The wait was about 30 minutes, so I just waited... I wanted to see all of the Nightmare Before Christmas stuff outside anyway. I hit BTMRR next and waited about 20 minutes (standby again, could've gotten a FP for about 50 minutes later). I went on Snow White next... yes, I dropped my little boy off at the kid's club and was in Fantasyland!!! The wait was about 10 minutes there. Next I headed over to Space to see how long the wait was... 55 minutes and no more Fast Passes available so I skipped it. I decided to grab something to eat - I had the Plantation Salad at French Market and grabbed a bowl of fruit to take back to the room for later (in a Zero bowl). I was able to see some of F! from my table and of course hear it all, then I walked out to the park exit during "Believe..." I made it back to pick Max up at 9:40 - they had just gotten back from watching fireworks from the concierge observation area at the hotel - I was thinking about picking him up before fireworks but I knew he'd be upset if he had to miss out... when I got there they told me that they would've let me come up to watch with them... now I know for next time!!! I totally would've loved that.

Happy Thanksgiving Everyone!!!
Yesterday we did a few attractions in the morning, then headed to Yamabuki for lunch... yum! After lunch we headed back to Disneyland and saw the 50th movie, then watched Billy Hill and the Hillbillies - great show, we love this show and always laugh, but yesterday's performance was really, really funny.
We took a break at the hotel for a few hours, swam, had snacks, napped, then headed back to Disneyland around 8:30. First, we grabbed dinner at Redd Rocket's Pizza Port, then we used our Fast Passes for Autopia... during fireworks - that was really cool!
Max surprised me by saying that he was ready to ride BTMRR... Max is a chicken. He is totally fearless in life... until it comes to rides - he is so apprehensive, no matter what type of ride it is. In the past I have had to force him to try rides - nothing that I knew would be too much for him to handle, but even things like iasw... until he rides it, he thinks everything is scary. Soooo... wanting to ride "the wildest ride in the wilderness" is a HUGE step. He did try it once before (because one of his friends was with us - I think they were about 4 years old on that trip), but we had a ride-stop and only got to the climb with the bats before we had to be rescued and walked off. He never was brave enough to try it again. This time I thought he might change his mind at some point in line... but he didn't! He made me hold onto him tightly... no problem! Then he wanted to go again, so after we rode Pirates and Pooh, we went back at a few minutes before midnight for our last ride of the night... I still held him tight, but this time he put his hands up!!! Wow!
We grabbed a Jalapeno Pretzel on our way out and said goodbye to our happiest place on earth. We don't go in on Thanksgiving day - too busy and we'd have to pay for blockout passes (which I would do if we really wanted to be there, but we're good at this point!)
