So before I left, I knew that I was going to do my trip report right away. After all I wanted to be mostly finished before I started school and I started school in July. But, I had a super duper case of the Disney blues and every time I thought about Disney I got depressed. I won't get to go back untill 2013!!! So even though I was going to do the June Photo Scavenger hunt and even though I said I'd come back to the some like it hot thread I couldn't get myself to come on the DisBoards. Anyone else feel that way? Anyway I took dd to see Winnie The Pooh today and it was just what I needed.

For all of you who don't know, there were 5 of us crammed into a little value suit! The trip started as a bonding trip for tiana and phineas and ended up a much diferent trip. It all worked out in the end though.

Here I am in one of the few pictures I ended up in this trip:


This picture was taken 30n mins into the park and I was already wearing everything tiana came in the park with

She looks so peaceful but the fact the we had 3 sleeping children would soon become a nightmare.

The trip really started the night before. I live about 45 minutes closer to the airport then Linda so she was spending the night. It was like 10 pm and she still hadn't shown up. Turns out she had a birthday party she didnt tell me about and it made the rest of her day run behind. So when they finally get to my house everyone started to lose their minds, we were leaving disney in a matter of hours! With a 3 am wake up call, we went to bed at about 1

So after 2 hours of sleep I woke everyone up and we headed out to the airport. When we got there and weighed our luggages in my luggage weighed in at 45 lbs!! That was close! so we said goodbye to my parents and my dad kept creeping closer and closer to security. My poor dad, a fellow disney lover, hasnt been in 10 years. I felt bad but not bad enough, and went through security. When we gate checked our strollers, the lady at the counter let us know that the seat next to us was empty so ferb would have his own seat. Hurray for pixie dust already!!
Our flight was great. We flew very close to the ground the whole time and I managed to get this pic about 2 hours into the 3 hour flight

We got there and I somehow remembered how to get to the ME right away. This was one of our only not so magical moments of the whole trip. Ferb was added on very last minute to the trip. Like we already had all our paperwork late. I went up to the first cast member I saw and tried to explain that we didnt have a ticket for him like the cast member on the phone told us to do. Well he couldnt be bothered to listen. So he stopped Linda and said we needed another ticket because we had 5 people not 4. I just told you that mister!!!! So we all had to go back so he could re-do our paperwork and he was pretty snotty about it. If you would have just listened, just listened.

Anyway we got on without any more delays and only had to wait about 10 minutes before we left.

Finally we were in Disney!!! We did online check-in and Im so glad we did. The regular line had about 20 people in it and online check-in only had one . We quickly got our keys and ran to our room, which was, thankfully, ready. So what section of All Star Music did we get??

Yup, we got the Broadway section! I was excited because if I wasnt going to be in Jazz this was my next choice. The hotel looked amazing all light up.

So we found our room, and slowly opened up the door and the first thing I saw was......


My first Mickey towel head EVER!!! I was so excited! I almost didnt see what was on the table. But there's no time to worry about that, quick before you guys mess it up!!!

good enough! Now what is that????......



Not 30 seconds later all 3 were pressing buttons and got it started. So I walked back up to the front desk and they called maintenaince. The maintenaince manager was there withen minutes to remove it. Apparently it was just a deoderaiser. We mentioned to him we also hadnt gotten our playpen yet, but we weren't in a hurry. He came back maybe 5 minutes later and set it up for us. He checked back on us a few times that day. This to me is partly why I love Disney. Whenever something does go awry they are so quick to make it better.

So after that we went to the food court and grabbed some lunch. Then we made our way to our first park. Which was?..........

Clearly, Magic Kingdom!! Where else does anyone start their Disney vacation?!?!

Looking back on this pic, I really dont remember if she was grumpy or if the sun was in her eye......


My guess is, grumpy. She probably wanted to swim. All she ever wants to do is swim. Ever.

So when we walked in the first thing I wanted to check out was the new town square theater. My original plan was to get fast passes since I was intrigued by a fast pass for Mickey, but the wait time was only 10 mins for princesses and 5 for mickey so instead we lined right up for the princesses.

Even with the short wait time my princess could not be bothered with standing....

Soo, notice how Tiana is wearing a first visit pin?? Yeah it was not her first visit. I had requested them for Phineas and Ferb and they stuck 5 in there. Which I'm glad they did because Tiana had insisted on wearing one. They say choose your battles, and this was a battle I was NOT going to have first thing first day in my happy place.

So inside the princess meet and greet was Cinderella, Belle, and Aurora. I wasnt too thrilled with this Aurora at first. She spent most of her time doing this:


But she was the last princess so lets rewind.

This was Cindy asking Tiana if this was her first trip to the world

And this was Tiana trying to explain to Cindy that it wasn't

I can almost hear the little Candace in her head screaming "You're so busted!"

And here's the exact moment we realized Ferb wanted nothing to do with characters


Then Came Belle. Here's Tiana thinking that Belles gown in way too poofy


And then was Aurora. She then did something that I wasn't too fond of. I understand why she did it, but it caused a bit of confusion on our parts. She had secretly taken our books from Belle and signed them when we were taking pictures. It would have been fine except we didn't see her grab them .
But she quickly made up for it and made me like her again. She grabbed Phineas in a huge hug and wouldn't let him go until he promised he would save her if she ever needed help. With anything. Including, slaying dragons. Phineas is a pretty shy kid so it was a good moment to see him interact with her and it easily made his day.





So I love the princesses here. I know they're not permanent but It was so cool to have them be the very first thing we did in Disney World this trip. I have a few more pictures before we even see the castle but I think I may be at my photo limit, actually I have no idea what the limit actually is.........

For those of you that don't know, when you leave the princess meet and greet you exit through a gift shop, like at any Disney attraction. We stopped for a few minutes so that Linda could exchange the mickey ears she bought Ferb. They were this super cute mater/goofy mickey ears but they were waaay to big for his little head so she swapped them out for a mickey butt one that fit him much better.

Walking out there's this cute little garden. Tiana can't say no to a little photo shoot op.


Then we got back in line, this time for Mickey and Minnie. I don't really remember what Phineas said before this picture but I know it must have been something crazy since Tiana's got on her "Child Please" face on.

then after a few minutes, it was time to see Mickey and Minnie.


This is the only pic I got of Tiana not making her stupid fake smile, and she's not even smiling. I hate when kids do that! Just smile!! Linda claims she has better ones, but I havent seen them yet


Leaving the Mickey m&g, we were fortunate enough to catch the end of the Flag Retreat. These kinds of things are always really touching to me. I was never in the military or anything but I was in the color guard at my high school so I understand how important these things are to our military families.


Then finally after being in Magic Kingdom for about half an hour, I got my first glance at one of my favoritest things in the whole wide universe. I always get such a cheesy smile when I get my first glance at the castle. When I see that I know that there's pretty much nothing that's going to bring me down for the next few days. Was I a 24 year old single mom? Yeah. Do I live with my parents still? Yupp. Did I just lose my job right before this trip? You bet. But none of that mattered. For one week I was in the most magical place on this planet.

I wish I knew that couple, it't a cute pic of their behinds.


I read on the boards to bring a water bottle with the little Hawaiian Punch packets. who ever suggested this IS A GENIUS. We would fill them up with ice in the mornings before we left. Maybe half an hour into the park they would be melted enough to add the mix and they would last a few hours. Once they were warm, we tossed them out and put more ice in them. The packets are only a dollar for like 8 of them at walmart so I never fretted if we threw out half a bottle, but that only happened a few times. The only thing I would do different next time is not be cheap and buy water bottles from the dollar store. The kids managed to break both of them before the week was over. So next time I'll invest in a better bottle.

At this point they were giving Dream Along With Mickey but I was too busy trying to take a pic of the Partners Statue to pay Attention. This is what I ended up with


At this point Linda looks over at me and asks me what we should do first. Clearly there's only one place for a princess to go from here

Our first stop was fantasyland! I really wanted to see what I could see of the expansion. Otherwise we wouldn't have started in the middle of Magic Kingdom. The first princess we spotted was Rupunzel with Flynn Ryder. The line was too long though and I couldn't justify waiting that long for someone we just didnt LOVE. Don't get me wrong Tiana really likes Rupunzel but we can catch her next time. This was as close as we got....


Just as we were going to get fast passes for poo, we saw.....

So of course we had to get in line! Ferbs diaper had to get changed at this point so Linda went to change it and get the fast pass. I don't remember if Phineas stayed with me or went with her. But I do remember there being an obnoxious group of teenagers in front of me. They weren't doing anything aweful it was just typical of a large group of teens. I don't really know why I remember them actually........
The line was one of the longer ones we waited in all week, maybe 25 minutes. Its a good thing it was long though. Linda got lost trying to find the bathroom and it took her what felt like forever to find one even though I know theres one right around the corner from where we were.

I always feel bad for Pooh. I feel like kids like Tigger better and Pooh gets little love.

After the pictures were taken we headed off to ride a few rides until our fast passes were up. We passed the fence they had up to block the construction. I love the artwork they have on the fence, very cute.


Aw look, Phineas was sleeping, Ferb was escaping, and Tiana was cranky, This kinda sums up the whole week,


So our first ride was a bitter sweat one. It reminds me of my times in WDW as a kid and I remember being scared the first time I rode it, but I wouldn't admit it to anyone. I'm so sad this ride will be gone next time I go back, the new expansion better be good. If you haven't figured it out by now our first ride was Snow White's Scary Adventure.

I'm pretty sure Tiana thinks this ride is dumb. But I don't and Disney is just as much for me as it is for her. It's little things like that, that make me sure she'll grow out of Disney one day, but hopefully by then my brother will have kids!

BYE DOPEY!!!


After this ride I turned into an evil mommy. A really, really bad mommy. I don't know if Tiana had said something to me and I wasn't paying attention, or maybe the excitment of it all got to her and SHE wasn't paying attention. I don't know how it happened, but it did. We were in line for It's a Small World. My favorite Disney ride. Then all of a sudden Tiana pulls me down, "Mommy, I just went pee pee." At first I thought she said she had to go, so I asked her if she could hold it. "No, I just did it." I was furious. I didn't have any extra clothes or anything with me because I really didnt think I would have any accidents with my 4 year old who has had one accident ever since she was potty trained. So any not mean mom any normal mom would probably get out of line, go back and get her changed. Not me. I grabbed one of Ferbs changing pads and made her sit on it during the ride. Yupp. I made her sit in her pee pee pants. Not that it mattered, I was so mad I took all the pictures in the wrong setting and they came out like this, or worse:



After the ride we went back to the room to give all the kids showers. But I did manage to get this picture of the construction even while FURIOUS

After everyone was so fresh and so clean, we headed back to Magic Kingdom. They had EMH that night so our plan was to stick it out as long as possible. But since we were up since 3 that morning, that wasn't going to be very long, we just didn't realize just how quick the kids were going to be out since they had all taken there turns taking naps throughout the day.

It was already dark out and people were finding seats for wishes and the rest of the nights festivities so we found a pretty decent seat in front of the castle about 20 mins ahead of the show. The castle looks AMAZING at night. There is no other way to explain it. I quickly started taking pictures of the castle.




Then I looked over and this happened:

Yupp she fell asleep before it even started! Since I had litterally gotten there 10 minutes before, I decided to stay.


There weren't too many pictures of the rest of this night. I was just too mesmorized by everything. It was the first time I had ever watched The magic, the memories, and you. I'm not typically a crier but I deffinately cried during the show. It was the coolest most amazing thing I had ever seen in my whole life. It was even more amazing that there were pictures of the kids with the princessess and mickey and minnie. It was something that I'll remember forever and sums disney up for me. It's hard to explain how magical it is if you haven't seen it.

After the show, the fireworks, and parade, all the kids were asleep so we decided to go back to the room.
When we were about to get on the bus, something else happened that was so magical it could only happen in disney. We were struggling picking the kids up from the strollers and closing the strollers. A beyond wonderful family behind us saw us struggling, and they grabbed my stroller and closed it up for me, then the mom grabbed Ferb and the dad closed up the other stroller. This was seriously the nicest thing anyone has ever done. It's funny since if we were anywhere else, we would never have let a complete stranger pick up our kid, but it was disney and we needed help.Then when we got off the bus, the adult children took our strollers off for us and opened them up. I spent the entire week trying to pay it forward, but I know I didnt do anything that even compared. Being from Massachusetts, we're used to people who are on a mission and trying to get things done, its pretty rare when a complete stranger will do something for you. I wish I could give every one in that family a hug and made them understand how much we appreciated it. ​

AAHHHH I JUST HAD THIS WHOLE LONG ALMOST DONE UPDATE AND I LOST IT ALL

So I had started by saying life got in my way and Im gonna try to finish the TR Then I had like 8 pics already loaded with stories WWAAHHHHH. Really I'm very sad.

Ferb and Tiana were extra anxious to get the day started and were patiently waiting for Phineas to be finished getting dressed.

So before we headed out to the park we went to the food court grabbed some bagels and filled our mugs/water bottles with ice and were on our way.

The Animal Kingdom!!
So to back track a little, Tiana wasn't allowed to buy anything at all the previous day at the Magic Kingdom. Usually I wouldn't let her buy something at the first cart we saw either, but these ears were so cute and right next to them was a Simba stuffed animal and Tiana loves stuffed animals so much. And it was Simba , how could I not?!?!

I love the Tree of Life. I can walk around it for hours just looking at all the carvings.
By this point we realized that we weren't really commando people. All of the planning I did went out the window. We were just so into everything that I never stopped to look at my plans. Oh well. They were fun to make. And later in the week I did find a middle ground. So instead of heading straight to Kiliminjaro Safari to get fastpasses like any good DISser, We stopped to get pictures of Lilo and Stitch. Stitch is Phineas and Ferb's aunts favorite charactor so we had to get a pic.

Tiana has no idea who Lilo and Stitch are. But, that didn't stop her from hugging them.

Linda for some reason had a huge problem with Lilo. She was convinced that Lilo should have been a face character. I guess since she's a little girl it would make sense. It doesn't really bother me though​

So this wasn't supposed to be the beggining of the second part but I keep running into glitches.
So now that we got those pictures out of the way, it was time to head to Kilimanjaro Safari to get fastpasses. We grabbed the fastpasses but had some trouble getting Ferbs to work. Aparently it wasn't scanned correctly at the front gate so it wasn't showing up as he was in the park. The CM gave us a FP for him and we were on our way. I wanted to check out Rafiki's Planet Watch since I had never been there before so we headed there next.

I signs. I especially Disney signs.

This counts as a sign right?

It's a nice little relaxing ride there. But theres not a whole lot to see so we took a bunch of pictures of ourselves

When we walked in there were a bunch of characters so we got in line for pocahontas.

She looks like my fourth grade art teacher who had a breakdown in class and quit in the middle of our art class.

She was amazing. Easily one of my favorite characters of the trip. She asked Tiana what her favorite animal was. Tiana LOVES animals. She told Pocahontas that snakes were her favorite.

Pocahontas then walked Tiana over and showed her a snake. Tiana was soo thrilled and now watches the movie CONSTANTLY.


Next up was Jimminy Cricket. I heard he's no longer here. How sad. It was such a cute little spot.

Then it was Rafiki

See that CM in the background? He becomes our hero in about 10 minutes.

She's never looking at the camera! When we were passing Rafiki to leave, he noticed Simba and picked him up out of the stroller and Reinacted the presentation of Simba scene. Of course my camara was already back in its bag and I missed it It was pretty cool though.

Then we walked around the building for a while looking at all the little exhibits in there.

Im terrified of birds. When I saw this I wanted to run. Tiana started making fun of me. She does that a lot. But this was a seriously terrifying bird!
We walked around some more so Tiana could geek out even more.



Oh hey now! I just discovered the picture limit! It's 25 pictures for those who don't know so I guess I'll have to break this post into 2....​

So when I left off, I was being terrified by a bird and Tiana was on geeking out



She used to have this type of snake. I don't remember what it was her father was the snake person but I know she had one.

Ew whats that?
So at this point we've geeked out enough and decided to find Linda and the boys. Instead of running into Linda, we run into the CM from the picture earlier. He was accompanied by a tearful Phineas! I couldn't thank him enough. I wish I would have gotten his name but I was in such shock that I didn't even think to look. So with Phineas now in hand I continued on my search for Linda. We found Linda who was talking with another CM on the other side of the room.

So with everyone back together, we decided to go outside to the Affection Section. This area is an OK area but its nothing terribly special. Not much different then a normal petting zoo. I'd do it again with Tiana just because she's such an animal lover but its not something I would do without her.

So we took some more goat pictures and our Fastpasses were up so we decided to take the train back to Animal Kingdom.

Hi Mr. Giraffe

Theres another scary bird!
So theres tons more pictures but I won't bore you with more elephant and rhino pictures. Next we went over to the Festival of the Lion King. We were kind of all over the park that day. I wanted to get there early because I'm always a Giraffe. I refused to be a giraffe this time. No BBBAAAAAing for me this year. So we got there early enough to be in the lion section RRAAAWWRR
FOTLK is usually my favorite show. I love it. How can you not love this?

I really couldn't tell you if this performance was as amazing as in the past. Right after I took this picture I fell asleep. Really. I have no idea how I fell asleep during this show on those benches but I did. I hope I wasn't snoring lol
After this show we decided to get up close to the Tree of Life and watch Its Tough to be a Bug



we were waiting to take this picture I really let the group ahead of us get the best of me. The went out of there way to ask the group behind us if they could take a picture of the group. It was obvious they didn't know the people behind us so I don't know why they didn't just ask us. The group had kids so it couldn't be because we had kids. I have my theories but thats ok. I'm not going to let that bother me. It could have been a million reasons.

Its Tough to be a Bug was cute, and went by uneventfully. We then decided to go watch Finding Nemo the Musical. We just missed the cut off so we went over to Dinosaur while we were waiting. The line was short so Tiana and I went and then I took Ferb while Phineas and Linda rode.

I love that Tiana wasn't even the most scared in the car and that one kid is awesome.​
