Holy crap I need to catch up!!!
Your itinerary looks great! I can't believe you'll have to leave at 3:45...and I thought when we've left at 5 that was early! LOL.
As for your ticket question, I don't know how the whole adding on thing works if you already have a ticket so hopefully someone else can answer that. But the no-expiration option is great. We've done that our past couple trips (getting the 10-day hopper with no expiration) and it works great. Because our trips have been shorter we can usually use the same tickets for a couple of trips. That way even if you end up having a change in plans you can still use them! I know that I will be doing that again when I buy mine!![]()
Holy crap I need to catch up!!!
Here's the big question..I know if I post it here someone will definitely have the answer. We got the 7 day MYW ticket with the water park option through the 4/3 deal. We're only going to use 4 (maybe 5) days of it. So Tammy (onetreehilladdict) had said something to me a few months back about upgrading it to a 10 day pass. I thought of it yesterday and checked how much the difference is between 7 days and 10...its only like $6 each! So we want to do that. Then on our last day before we check out, we want to add no expiration to everything we haven't used yet. CAN THIS ALL BE DONE!?We totally hope so because it would be well worth the money. That way when we go next March with Tinkgurl and her BF, we won't have to buy tickets! Let me know guys!
Good lord, 3:45 a.m. is SO freakin' early!deffff is!!
I've been to ATL a few times! I think I found a Starbucks there!haha gooooood because I'm gonna need some caffeine!
Oooh take pics on ME! of course I will
That'll be a good idea to relax around the hotel before heading out for dinner. Especially since MK is open until 3 am!yeah, we're gonna need a power nap if we decide to go to MK!
But, I do have a question...what time are you planning on waking up the next day for AK morning EMH's?haha I'll probably get up around 6:45 and I'll wake Chris up when I get out of the shower since he showers at night usually. we're not gonna stay at MK til 3am though lol
I vote for lunch at Pizzafari! yea i really wanted to do flame tree but not with all the birds i see in everyone's pictures of it there. i'm too scared of birds!
What time is the Jammin' Jungle Parade? I thought it was 4 or something. Just wondered, because you said you wanted to be back to your room around 4. yea we will skip the parade if we've done everything we want to before it but if we're still there at 3:30ish we'll probably just stay for it.
I've never been to DisneyQuest, so take some pics for me! I will girl)
Everything you want to see at DHS looks good to me! i can't waitttttt
Yum, Mama Melrose! glad you like it here i hope its not fake Italian!
Ooh, I love getting cinnamon rolls at the MK Bakery! Yum! that is my plan too!
Oh my lord, you're eating at Kona Cafe for breakfast? You have to get Tonga Toast! YES i have to wait all the way until the last day to do it but it will be worth it totally!
Okay, overall everything looks great. We gotta decide what you're gonna call me on/at. And I'm so excited I got mentioned in this post!
I'm sure you'll have time for most of what you wanna do. Either way, it's fun just being there... and you'll be there in 23 days!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Ok your plan looks pretty good to me. I do not envy your early start though, I am so bad with mornings, that would kill me. On the plus side ATL is pretty good once you get there and there is lots of food court type places if you want a quick breakfast or snack and a few Starbucks too. I think BRG is a great option for your first night if you don't go to MK as you will get to see the BW at night which is lovely and has lots of atmopshere. If you don't go to MK you could always catch Illuinations at Epcot, even if its just from the BW, and also check out YC/BC so you don't have to do so many when you resort hop. Anyhoo, when you go to IOA I recommend you take a break at the Waterhole which is in/near the Jurassic Park land and grab a frozen drink. They do all different ones like pina colada's and you can either have it with or without alcohol, they are so good and refreshing. Plus its quite secluded there so nice and relaxing for a little break. I also suggest you don't rush CityWalk as its a lovely place and has some great shops and great atmopshere. And another drink you can try in Epcot is the Lemoncello slush from Italy, its really good. Others we tried were the Kir Royale from France, Plum wine in both China and Japan, and Reisling in Germany, all very good.
You can upgrade any ticket! Just make sure of the price. Sometimes it ends up costing less to buy two different 7 day tickets than to buy one ticket for 10 days with the non expiration. Now with the this buy 4/3 deal I have heard some people say they upgraded those tickets and only had to pay an upgrade for the 7 day ticket price. If this is the case heck yeah do it. Your best bet is to go to a ticket booth when you get there. Let them run the numbers and give you the exact price. People may think they know everything about a Disney ticket but something happened to us this past trip that blows all their theories to you know where! Don't listen to us who think we know it all. LOL Ask a CM (at GUEST SERVICES INSIDE A THEME PARK...NOT AT THE HOTEL!) when you arrive! With the 4/3 things are supposedly different. I only tell people things that have happened to me personally. Like pulling a ticket off of a package. You can! Even with free dining. You can get them early. Upgrade them and so on. Wait 'til you read what they did for Ashley! Everyone on the ticket board said it'd never happen! Ha. Well, IT DID!
Hey did you miss my post? Scroll up a bit!
Your itinerary looks great!
Your flight is so early! But have no fear...once the Disney adrenaline kicks in, you won't feel tired at all!
I love your Epcot drink list...YUM!!
Plans look good. I know you are so excited to be moving over into the teens on the countdown! Get good Teppan Edo pictures for me, as that is one of the ADRs we want to make for our summer trip.
The week you are there is the first week we are doing our TCAP testing, so it will lift my spirits to think about you down there having fun. Thanks for posting where you will be so that I can zoom myself away to those places!
OK! I'm joining your trip report! Believe it or not I just found it!LOL! So now I have to go read it! Be back when I'm done!

OK, caught up! A few things-
I've never had a problem with ME getting my luggage. The only minor problem was in August- the fact that my luggage was in the room within minutes of our checking in and my friend's didn't come for a few hours. Hmm thats a small problem and if thats the worst that happens to us with ME and luggage, I'll take it!
Let me know how Tusker House is! I'm trying to convince my mom to come with me for Memorial Day and we'll want to go to AK. I'd love to try breakfast there so I can't wait to hear about your experience! I'll take lots of pictures and tell you all about it
Columbia Harbor House was AWESOME!!! I got the Lighthouse Sandwich and it was amazing! One of my favorites of the whole trip - including TS! oooh what was on the lighthouse sandwich?
I thought the same thing about Raglan Road, but after we went it became a new favorite. I ordered what the waitress recommended - Goat's Town (which I wasn't even thinking about when I saw it on the menu) and it was all amazing. Me and 2 of my friends loved everything we ordered!! Think about it! Its more that Chris wont eat anything at RR than me. He's picky about trying different things. So maybe on another trip we'll give it a try if he expands his horizons
As for EPCOT drinks, try the Mango Margarita in Mexico. My friends got the Fiesta one with all the flavors and it wasn't as good as mine. Also the Sultan's Colada slushie in Morocco OMG! The Liebfraumilch wine in Germany was good, too. We got Plum Wine in Japan and it was too sweet - we couldn't finish it. Then, Eddie's Rose, oops..I mean - English Rose, at Rose & Crown. LOL. Plus even if you don't get that drink you have to look at Eddie.I'm not a wine person so the wines are out but the other ones are added to the list! And if we go in the Rose and Crown I'll look out for Eddie and tell him you said hello!
Sounds like you have a lot of exciting things planned!
You can always upgrade a ticket. Buying the non expiring thing is an upgrade. Depending on the cost you may not want to but you can do it. In March we bought the 4/3 deal. On paper it said Sidney and the baby (age 2). Well, when you book anything just about it requires you to buy a ticket. Well, we did not need a ticket. We went to AK and picked up a paper ticket early. Then she took the paper ticket (which she paid for anyway) and upgraded it to a season pass. Now had we waited until check in to get that ticket it would have went on a key card. Get it? So instead of having ANOTHER UNUSED PLASTIC TICKET we got it early so someone else could use it. Had it been on the room key only the person whose name is on the key could use it. Being this is the 4/3 deal just wait....talk to a CM at the park guest services window and they will hook you up the best way. You can get all kinds of answers here but you might find out something different in person.![]()
Yes Nick always sticks with the non-alcoholic version but when I am on holiday I just have to have cocktails if they are thereI don't envy my early starts either lol but since we only have a week I know that it might be the only way we get to do everything we want to do. I have possible mid-day breaks scheduled and we're young so we can do it! hahaThats a good idea about seeing the YC/BC and Boardwalk if we don't do MK the first night, i'll keep that in mind definitely.
The Waterhole at IoA sounds like a must stop for us although I'll probably lay off the alcohol while i'm in the park so i don't get sick feeling or tired! and the lemoncello slush is now being added to the drinks list in Epcot. I'm not a big wine fan so idk about the other ones though. Thanks Ariel you're such a help!![]()
OK! So I am finally done catching up! I just want to first say sorry about your Pop! Your boyfriend sounds like a real sweetheart! You Adr choices sound wonderful, we have lots of those on schedule for our August bounceback trip! I think your parents will love the GC towards their dinner!
That anniversary dining package at yactsman sounds awesome!
I did start a PTR report then deleted it! I decided I didn't like it! I'm thinking of redoing it! I'll let you know if I do!
Yes Nick always sticks with the non-alcoholic version but when I am on holiday I just have to have cocktails if they are there. I know you have a few drinks from France on your list, but if you fancy trying something else try a Kir Royale from there. Its there take on a traditional Bretagne drink, something we always get when were in Brittany, and they are strange but nice. They also have this pink vodka or champagne thing there that I really want to try, but its like $15 a glass
. Ooo and one more, I haven't tried it myself but everyone goes on about the Rose Regale in Italy. I think its like rose champagne or something and everyone says its the best. Ooo and they have Cinnabon at IOA... the pecabon's are just soooo good!
Just checked out your itinerary! You have lots planned! Don't forget to slow down and take in all the little details too!
