The beach looks gorgeous!!! I'm your family had such a fun, relaxing time! Those new Build-A-Bear's are so cute-- I love the ice cream buckets they come in!!
We have a shark advisory up North for the time being, so we will NOT be going to the beach until that's cleared!

Wow! Does that beach look awesome! I could use a little R & R! We just bought a new house 6 weeks ago and have three kids going in 3 different directions including college in the fall and a summer vaca just doesn't seem to be in the cards for us this year! Glad you guys had fun and no oil!

YAY! My planning buddy I am so happy you bought the necklaces. They are such good quality when you get them, you will be shocked. Great value! I heard that it could cost up to $100 in the parks to get them set.

I wish I was super organized about this trip! I am working on organizing all day today. Woohoo! I will feel better after I do that!

Great beach pictures! We have never been to Destin but it is THE place for everyone around here to go on spring break. Maybe that's why we never go.

I haven't been to Build a Bear in a looong time but I somehow still get their emails and saw those ice cream bears. Very cute!

Thank you!! Yes---we STAY AWAY during Spring Break! It can get so crowded. We really love Destin. I suggest going down early May or early August. The crowds were so small this year b/c of the oil spill.

Thank you!! Oh no--was Gulf Shores really that bad? I actually cried when I was on the beach the last day thinking that it might be our last trip for a while. I wanted to remain positive on the DIS so that people would not be afraid to travel there while it is still ok.

The beach looks so pretty! Sounds like you had a great trip and I'm glad there was no oil. I know someone who went to Destin in early June and they said the seaweed was too bad to even swim in the ocean at all! I'm glad that cleared out and the oil didn't move in so you could enjoy your vacation!

Ok—time for another PTR interruption

If you did not do so already, check out my beach pictures through the link on page 1. Now I am going to show you guys what we were up to on the 4th!

Considering that we just got into town from the beach on the 3rd, we were all a little worn out and did not end up doing as much as we normally do for the 4th. We started the day off at our Country Club. They have a cute kid’s parade where kids decorate their bikes, golf carts, scooters, etc. and ride around the parking lot.

After the parade, we headed to the pool!

Another great feature during the 4th is the water slide for the older kids.

We got a few hours of swimming in and the Treasure Dive started! They throw coins into the pool and have the kids dive for them. Abby ended up with 50 cents!

We went home for a nice nap and then ended up back at the Country Club with my in-laws for dinner and a movie.

They had great food as usual---burgers with all of the fixings, salad, watermelon, ice-cream and all sorts of good American cuisine!

We had a nice view of the golf course from our table.

They were playing the movie An American Tail. I thought it was a cute idea!

Here is a beautiful centerpiece in the lobby!

After dinner, we made our way home and lit a few fireworks in our driveway. It was a very low key and relaxing 4th of July! I hope yours was great!!

I am getting together my organization post (finally)! I can not wait to share and swap ideas with you!!

Thank you!! I heard the same thing about the seaweed! I also heard it was really, really stinky!! We got so lucky! We had all pretty much decided that we would go anyway and just look at the water from the condo! hehe.
