We're Changing The Plan Again?? You mean there's a Plan? New TR Posted/Link Posted

I think a meal at the 50's Prime Time is a great way to pep up a day in a crowded park. We have eaten there twice and it was good enough that we want to go back again.

Yay for getting in to see the Indiana Jones Stunt Show so quickly. We didn't get to see it this year because we visited on a Star Wars Weekend day and couldn't fit it into our schedule. But, we do love it and I take just as many pictures as you do.

The first thing I noticed in your Pixar Place pictures was the wait time for Toy Story Mania. :scared1: You would have thought that it would have lost a little bit of it's appeal by now and the wait times wouldn't be so long.

I'm so glad that your day was improving! In our family food always seems to help. :thumbsup2

Our family loves food! We constantly find occassions to eat!! :lmao: So that really did help improve the day...plus it is a fun place to eat!

I'm glad that your day was improving at that point. I do love 50's Prime Time. There are times when I go there when I don't want too dramatic of a server too. Love the sampler platter, although each time I've gotten it, I've wished I'd had more pot roast. ;)

Love the angry eyes tee shirt!

That's too funny that Madison said "that's Indiana Jones" when you watched Cowboy's and Aliens. I love all the Indiana Jones movies. Although I do have to admit, he was Han Solo to me first and foremost.

Yes, that pot roast was so good! It was my fave too! Wasn't that the cutest shirt!? I wish they had it in adult sizes!

I guess I should clarify that we do like Star Wars...we just aren't watchers like we are with the Indiana Jones movies so she really recognized him from that!

glad the day is going okay, even with the crowds. I love 50's- it took me a couple times to realize there isn't room if you choose a milkshake as your beverage! I agree, DHS is easy to get lost in- although i've got parts of it down now.

Yes, once we got away fromt he main crowds it became much better! 50's is good and we didn't finish half of the milkshakes because we were so stuffed! But they were very good!

We have discovered we like to break up the day (when not park hopping) at DHS by having a "sit-down" lunch just to escape from the crowds. This day we were even more thankful! The timing of Indiana Jones was perfect. We also like Lights Motors Actions but we couldn't fit it in too.

That wait time was the story of the day for TSMM! I adore TSMM but I do not feel it is worth standing in line half a day to ride! It has been around awhile so you would think interest would wane at least a little bit!

Even with the FPs we are in line for about 20 minutes. The wait time listed was still at 120 minutes. I love this ride but no way would I wait that long to ride anything!!

I agree. We rode TSM for the 1st time this past November and it was great but no way would I wait 2 hours to ride anything! There are too many other things to do to waste that much time in line.

Keep the fantastic TR coming!

It must be Friday, I'm sneaking the disboards window underneath all my work windows LOL:lmao:
Sorry I have been awol for a month....but I am caught up !

YOur Epcot day sounds great - you got to see a lot of the performances. I can't wait to go--I told him how much I rather resented being rushed past performances at WorldShowcase in particular.

Can you believe we've never seen American Adventure or the Voice of Liberty? Actually I didn't know about it ..somehow my recollection of the American showcase is a McDonald's (in 2007) and a KidKot stop outside of a little store. where is the American Adventure? I must see this!!

So I am pretty happy that I have gotten to see two acts within a 30 minute span!!

We begin discussing where to go next. Do we want to call it a day and head back to the room or explore a bit more? We decide a visit to American Adventure is in order!

We go in to listen to The Voices of Liberty. They are awesome…plain and simple! I love listening to them sing! We found a great spot on the floor and sat down to soak up some American culture!

IMG_2167.jpg

Then the Ziti Sisters make an appearance. This is one act I was not familiar with at all but they were so much fun and we had a blast watching them! They first got some girls from the crowd to do a little parade thing and then they got three men to join their antics.

IMG_2193.jpg

IMG_2194.jpg

What an awesome few hours! I feel very satisfied on the entertainment side of things! Next we grab a quick snack, backtrack through WS and close out our Epcot day!!

The Ziti sisters look new ...YAY I love adding "new" stuff to my check list. THey look like a fun show, too.

I love riding Maelstrom, though we missed it this time. :confused3

We pretty much walk-on to Maelstrom.

IMG_2225.jpg

This is a pretty fun little ride to me. I even enjoy the film at the end…you know, the film everyone talks about skipping?

Whew! We have had a great day at Epcot! The weather, although hot, has been perfect and we have done and seen so much! We head out but make one final stop: Spaceship Earth!

Along the way...a few pictures:

and continued in one last post....

and yet another thing thing I have managed to never ride: Spaceship Earth. Somehow I always think this is the ride that makes everyone sick, but that's Space Mountain in MK,right? My next trip will have a near entire day dedicated to FutureWorld, which we only walked through this year.

Then we get our “future” and Keith doesn’t look too excited about his future! I told him to smile!! I like this little added part. It is fun and for some reason I just think “Jetsons”!!

IMG_2272.jpg

Add in Spaceship Earth and this was a pretty successful day! The “Plan” was to leave for the Boardwalk around 5:30pm. We left Epcot to head back to the resort around 5pm. So time wise we are “on schedule” but the plan is taking a whole new route now!!

Next up: one last post for Day 3--DTD and Raglan Road!

So sorry for being MIA. For those who were reading my PTR, you may remember my concern on my grandmother not eating and maybe not making it through our trip. Well, we lost her this past Sunday. She had really taken a turn for the worse over the last 2 weeks. So I have an update ready to post but I haven't been in the "Disney" frame of mind the past few days. I hope to post the end of Day 3 very soon! Keep an eye out for it! ;)
I"m so sorry to hear about your grandmother.

IMG_2329.jpg

We really were fairly tired. It had been a long day and was inching towards 10pm. And we never eat that late!! Ever!! We peruse the menu and try to decide what to order. Then the waiter comes to take our drink order. He is very friendly and gives us the specials and then we tell him that (GASP!!!) we are on the DDP. Evidentally either Raglan Road or this particular waiter does not like patrons using the DDP!

IMG_2336.jpg

Rating Raglan Road overall: I will remove all aspects of the terrible waiter we had and focus on the food and restaurant itself. We will try this place again. The food was very good and tasty. I thought that the value of what we would have paid fit the cost (had we been paying OOP). I would skip the desserts though (and I am a sweet fanatic so this goes a long ways!!).

BOO for a bad waiter at Raglan Road. I am anxious to try this place, though your late dinner would have me up all night. I like the idea of writing WHY the bad tip was given - I was a waitress off and on for years and so I give good tips unless they are just crummy servers, and sounds like this guy was.

I am going to attempt a short update....

We are on Row 2!!

IMG_2386.jpg

Our picture! I look scared and holding onto Keith…but I really am not…I love this ride!!! And you know what I really like about this picture? The pure happiness on Keith’s face! This smile tells me all I really need to know about how he feels!!

IMG_2387.jpg

My jaw DROPPED when I saw the crowds at DHS HOLY COW! all in all it sounds like your day turned around despite the crowds - LOVE your photo of TOT. Wish I had thought to take a picture of our picture. (next time)

You found all of Keiths' favs, how awesome! The look on his face on TOT vs the one on Mission Space just says it all as to his favorite park.

:woohoo:

Your meal at 50's looks so good. They added the sampler after our 2010 trip. I wish they had had it when we went b/c I wanted to try everything!

:laughing:Everyone seems to remember the Full House episode when they see Indiana Jones. I wish they still had ABC shows go to Disney. That was so fun.
Caitlin has never watched Full House. I have tried to get her to watch the Disney episodes but she never gets into it. Imagine that one day people will go to Disney and not remember the Full House episdoes:sad2:

We skipped TSM this year. We never got to RD at DHS so the line was always too long. I don't think we'll make it back on there until they add a new ride in DHS that takes away the crowds.

I love the Mr. Potato head shirt:thumbsup2

I still have never seen the Indiana Jones show! :rolleyes1 Park time is so precious, and we've just never done that, although we tried last time, and it was full and we couldn't get in.

Speaking of precious park time, I'm with you -- 2 hours is too much to spend in line for one ride... :sad2: unless, of course, you can go often! :goodvibes

I love TSM but I just don't get waiting that long. You are exactly right: there are too many other things to do!

I hope to update real soon! :thumbsup2

Sorry I have been awol for a month....but I am caught up !

I understand completely! My real life tends to interfer with Dissing a lot lately!

Oh yes! I remember how you had to walk fast to keep up! :rotfl: American Adventure is inside the colonial American bulding. Th Voices of Liberty are just inside the entrance. There is a big rotunda where they sing. Then after they sing there are doors that open up and you go further into the building and upstairs. I highly recommend checking it out!

The Ziti sisters look new ...YAY I love adding "new" stuff to my check list. THey look like a fun show, too.

I love riding Maelstrom, though we missed it this time. :confused3

The Ziti sisters were so fun! would stop and watch them again! I like Maelstrom too. Seems like I always see comments from people saying they hate it...:sad2:

and yet another thing thing I have managed to never ride: Spaceship Earth. Somehow I always think this is the ride that makes everyone sick, but that's Space Mountain in MK,right? My next trip will have a near entire day dedicated to FutureWorld, which we only walked through this year.

Spaceship Earth is very easy! It must be Space Mtn that makes people sick! It is one I recommend trying sometime!

I"m so sorry to hear about your grandmother.

Thanks! Her birthday would be next week and I keep seeing it on my calendar...:sad1:

I don't like eating that late and probably will not try that again! But Raglan Road was very good food wise! I like that idea too and will start using it!

Those crowds were insane! I try to get a picture taken even if we decide to purchase...it is fun to look back on!

You found all of Keiths' favs, how awesome! The look on his face on TOT vs the one on Mission Space just says it all as to his favorite park.

Agreed!!! :thumbsup2

Did I see you saqy on pinkxray's TR that you were planning an adult trip in October or May? At the Boardwalk? I am pre-planning a "hopeful" trip for October to the Food and Wine Festival for my big 40! I want to try and rent points at Boardwalk...maybe! :goodvibes

That is why we got the sampler...we wanted it all!! :lmao: Madison was little when Mary Kate and Ashley had their little movies so she was enthralled and we watched Full House all of the time. The Disney episodes are still my favorites!!

I think it is time for a new big themed ride at DHS! ;) Isn't that short great?!!?

I still have never seen the Indiana Jones show! :rolleyes1 Park time is so precious, and we've just never done that, although we tried last time, and it was full and we couldn't get in.

Indiana Jones is so good! Beauty and the Beast is the one I keep missing out on! I wish I could go so often that it didn't matter how much time I spend in any line!!

I SOOO want to eat at 50's PT. The atmosphere looks so cute and the food looks yummy. I just don't see anything on the menu for DH - silly vegetarians.

I can't wait for my girls to be old enough to watch Indiana Jones. Those movies were such a part of my childhood. Since they have never seen them, we haven't watched Indy at Disney in years! Maybe someday we will get back... In the meantime, I am enjoying watching it through your pictures!

 about getting lost at DHS. Me too. All the time. There is something about that back corner that gets me everytime.

You would think they would have a veggie plate since diners usually have those kind of things and 50's PTC is similar to a diner. It is so fun and yummy maybe one day you can talk him into a compromise of some sort!

I love the Indy movies! I always had the biggest crush on Harrison Ford...:rolleyes1 It is s a fun show with the explosions and action.

And that is exactly where I get lost! I always seem to walk in circles. I feel like Chevy Chase in European Vacation only instead of "Look kids, it's Big Ben" I say "Look kids, it's Miss Piggy" over and over!! :lmao:

We are going adults only in June. Its our 20th wedding anniversary and come he 11 or high water, we're going! I can't wait!!!! I have been checking out the DVC rentals and pinkxray was awesome to answer a slew of questions I had about renting.

I have so many tentative plans for October. I want to go to the Food and Wine Festival and decided Keith would have a harder time saying no if it is our 10 year anniversary/my birthday combo trip! pinkxray is where I have learned you could even rent points! I really, really want to stay at Boardwalk but renting points may be my only way with everything else I want to do on the trip... Of course if they extend the military discounts any that may make a huge difference!!

Totally agree on Harrison Ford...even now!! :cloud9: And he is, like, my dad's age!! :rotfl:

Finally we get to ride TSMM and as we exit we decide to head to One Man’s Dream. I love this exhibit as well! I love nostalgia and this place is bursting at the seams with it!!

This amazes me yet creeps me out at the same time!!

IMG_2491.jpg

Seriously, reading and learning about how the animitronics work is truly amazing!!

IMG_2492.jpg

We watch the movie which I highly recommend if you have never seen it. Even Keith commented on how much he learned! Then we decide to head back to the resort to rest or swim before heading to DTD and our T-Rex dinner!!

First on our way out I snap a few pictures:

IMG_2493.jpg

IMG_2494.jpg

IMG_2495.jpg

We rest for a while, contemplate swimming, decide not too due to the high number of kids, watch some more of the Casey Anthony trial (I have no idea why we were so enthralled in this debacle!) and then we head for the boat!!

Of course, I am such a picture freak that I must take pictures along the way to the boat dock!! You may think I am just reposting sometimes but nope...I seriously have taken duplicates over and over!! LOL

IMG_2496.jpg

The pool with the huge scary serpent!!!

IMG_2497.jpg

We make the ride down the Sassagoula River

IMG_2498.jpg

and dock at the Marketplace. First though…we SHOP!!! On our first night in town we had window shopped and made notes of things to return for. This was the time to cash in that “wish list”! We hit several stores while Keith and Chris wait outside.

Keith found a spot to play with his phone...I guess I can be thankful he has apps that keep him happy while I spend our money!!

IMG_2499.jpg

Our last stop before supper was World of Disney. Chris found a friend as we entered World of Disney!

IMG_2500.jpg

I was very glad these guys were behind bars! They look very menacing!!

IMG_2509.jpg

I snap a few pictures in the store while waiting on my mom to pay...

IMG_2510.jpg

IMG_2511.jpg

On the way over I have to take another picture of Buzz and Woody because I just love them!!!

IMG_2512.jpg

And, yes, I really did take another picture of this guy! He is just photogenic!!

IMG_2513.jpg

It had poured rain while we are checking out, so we were a little late checking in at T-Rex. Never fear though, it is 5:30pm and the Expeditions are running right on time!

Continued in the next post....

Next trip I may request another location. But never the less we have a great time and even survive many meteor showers! This restaurant is one of our favorites! I read a lot of reviews where they say the food is not that good and it is loud. Well it really is loud especially when the meteor showers begin and those dinosaurs begin roaring. I have yet to eat anything that was not good. this was our 5th time to eat here and it will not be our last! Our server this time was AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Very good and he was tipped extremely well! We even made a point to ask for the manager and compliment him. Yes, he really was that good!

We were very close to the Ice Cave...this is where I want to eat!!

Pre-dinner pictures:

IMG_2534.jpg

We decide to order appetizers since it really hasn’t been that long since we had a huge meal. We ordered two of the samplers with ribs. Plus we ordered some chicken wings. Very good food!! Food porn....

IMG_2536.jpg

IMG_2537.jpg

You get a better look at the bruschetta behind the wings...this is on the top tier and not easily seen.

IMG_2538.jpg

Even though we ordered just drinks and appetizers our bill was still $126 including tax and tip so be prepared!

We get ready to leave and I must take a few more pictures on the way out!!

We bid T-Rex a fond farewell as well as DTD and it is back to DHS we go! Will we conquer the park during PM EMH?!

Renting points was such a great deal. I am having such a hard time paying Disney prices for our one night in Oct. All the DVC units are full so I'm stuck. We are staying at Pop even though I sometimes think of upgrading I just can't bring myself to pay the rack rate. I am so bummed there are no room only discounts for Oct.-Dec this year.

The Boardwalk sounds awesome. I would love to stay there during food and wine one year. I think that would be a girls only or solo trip though. I'll have to find some Disers to meet up with.

T-rex looks good. We didn't get to sit in the ice cave either. It looks cool but we walked though during the meteor shower (?) to get to the bathroom and it was so loud. I don't know if I would want to bring a kid any younger than Caitlin in there.

Darn it! I missed One Man's Dream again. I totally forgot that I wanted to make it there last trip. It looks interesting and I love to hear about Walt. We all agreed we would probably skip DHS next trip but I might have to pop alone to see it.

:laughing:Indy was on this weekend on we all caught a bit of it. Whenever we see Harrison Ford DH always brings up the question of why Harrison Ford's career took off and Mark Hamills didn't. I answered b/c Harrison is hot while Mark is not. DH thought it was crazy that women find Harrison good looking. He thinks he a bit doofy looking. I guess men just don't see the same appeal.

Boardwalk was the very first deluxe resort I ever encountered and I fell in love with it. It became my "dream" place to stay. And i would love to be able to walk back and forth to Epcot since that would be the sole reason we are going! (well sort of the sole reason!) I remember how well you did renting. I have been looking at Dave's Vacations or something like that and trying to determine how many points I may need to rent. I think a girl's trip would be so fun because then you can leave the grumpy guys at home!! :lmao:

One Man's Dream is great so hopefully you can get there one day! Maybe DH is jealous of Harrison Ford...just kidding!! I don't see what guys see in Elizabeth Hurley or those ugly Victoria Secret models either! :confused So I guess I can see his point! :lmao:

I really enjoyed your pictures of One Man's Dream. The last time we were in there, there were so many people you could hardly move. And, a little girl had gotten lost in the building and the mother was screaming and crying hysterically. She did find her daughter after just a few minutes thankfully.

Ahh, T-Rex! Love it there and, like you, we've never had a bad meal. What I wouldn't give to have a meteor shower falling all around me right now instead of all this legal mumbo jumbo talk I hear in the background.

Thankfully the masses in the park that day had not located One Man's Dream! It was the one thing in DHS I wanted to see more than anything else! Crowds and a missing child/screaming mother would not make that area enjoyable!

T-Rex is so good! The first time we went we were hooked. It hooked Keith too!! We actually returned this trip because he insisted! I have been training people in financial aid all day...I really could go for a meteor shower right about now! :goodvibes

One Man's Dream is one of my favorite attractions. I can spend forever in there just looking at the various displays.

I have to admit that I haven't eaten at T-Rex before, but the food always looks good. I like the look of the ambience in there too.

I love Ine Mans Dream also.

Going to try TRex in jan. Do you think it will be scary for a 3 year old?

T-Rex is just fun and the food is good! Keith is all about ambience in restaurants so I think that is what hooked him on this place!!

It gets sort of loud during the meteor shower and that is when the dinosaurs really move around. I don't recall them doing much movement at all during non-meteor shower times. I would say that it depends on how scared the 3 yr old is of things. Madison would have loved it at 3 but we have a friend whose little boy had to leave a Wizard of Oz birthday party because they had people dressed as the characters. He never would have survived! You can request to not be placed very close to the big dinosaurs. Where we were sitting on this trip the dinosaurs were not very close so it just seemed loud. There are louds of families with littel ones every time we go and they all seem to be fine with everything. Also they have a Build-a Dinosaur store in the gift shop with very cute dinos waiting to be stuffed!
