I know in another thread i posted that we might be going the first week of january, but after calling American Airlines there were not flights available. :(
I suddenly thought, well what about the week before thanksgiving? We checked and there are flights available. So now we're going November 15 - November 20, 2007. We arrive at LAX at 10;30pm on the 15th, and driving to Orange County and checking in at the Anaheim Fairfield Inn and leave from Santa Ana at 6;15 am on the 20th. Is this enough time to do the parks at this time of year? That's the thursday through tuesday before thanksgiving. On a scaled from 1 to 10, how can i expect the crowds to be? How is the weather at this time? Rainy? Thank you.

Congratulations on your upcoming trip! I think that will be a very good time to go, your going after Veteran's Day weekend and before Thanksgiving, so you should avoid the largest November crowds. Also, the parks will be decked out for Christmas which will be very nice and festive.

I would plan on busy weekends, make sure you get to the park at opening each day, that can make an extremely busy Saturday still very manageable and enjoyable since the locals don't usually arrive until late morning or even lunchtime.

Weather wise you can probably expect nice days and cool evenings. Although the weather in So. Cal is hard to predict. I have been in November and it was pleasant and warm. November is not the rainy season in So. Cal, that is more in January-March. Although its fairly dry there all year I think. The average temp in Anaheim in November is around 65 I think.

Have a great trip!

thanks for the info. im dancin' already!
we bought our first AP this past june and we'd decide it best that we make the best use of them before they expire next june. (they raised the price :( )
were still trying to find earlier flights on the 15th, because i come all the way from puerto rico and we are connecting through boston, is the traffic from LA to anaheim really bad at 11ish pm in the night?

Ah yes, always best to get as much use as possible from those AP's!;)

At 11:00 at night, you should be fine to get to Anaheim. I have gotten in late (not that late, more like 9:00) and we had no problems. Now as sure as I tell you that, there will be some construction thing that will slow you down. However, there shouldn't be much traffic due to volume at least. Have fun with your planning and good luck getting the flight times you want!

Is it worth it miss nov 15 & 16 (school days) to go to disneyland. we couldnt find any other flight than the 15th and at the moment were crossing our fingers for an overnight flight from san juan to LAX on the night of the 14th. That way we could get to the parks starting on the 15th instead of wasting that day.

OMG
we found flights leaving the 14th at 5pm heading to Miami . then we sleep at a hilton at miami, and leave early morning to anaheim, and arrive at disney at 12 noon the 15th, and go to disney that afternoon, and thats an extra half day at disney. so thats like 4 1/2 days at disney, assuming the flights wont be delayed lol
im so happy - im still worried about the crowds though and school. ( 2 days ill be missing)
