We're Back - TS Reviews (with pics)

OP, another questions about Tony's...... Did they have the desserts displayed somewhere to look at, before ordering? I'm curious what the creme brulee looks like, & I'd like to see the cheesecake in Oct. I agree that the one you received isn't my idea of a good cheesecake. Hopefully, they'll change it before October.

Sorry but I didn't see the desserts on display anywhere!

DAY 4 - AKERSHUS BREAKFAST

Sorry for the delay in the rest of my review, its been crazy here!

Okay we had a 8:40am adr at Akershus and we arrived just past 9am, we were on a monorail that had to be restarted a few times:confused3
We were called within 5 mins and we came in and dd took her pic with Belle. We were seated and the waiter said the chef would be out soon to discuss dd's peanut allergy. He took about 10 mins and again, all the baked goods were off limit. So I got her just fruit from the buffet and she had the eggs and bacon from the family style platter. This year we saw Snow White, Aurora, Mulan and Jasmine.....dd was really disappointed b/c she remembers seeing Ariel in her beauutiful dress there and she wasnt there this year so they were down one princess, last year we saw 6 princesses there, this year just 5:mad:
The buffet had cheese, fruit, some cold meats and pasteries and they were all good. The platter had bacon, sausage, eggs and potatoes. It was all pretty good......nothing to write home about but it filled the tummy.

Would we go back to Akershus....................Probably but just so dd can see the princesses!!!!!

Up Next 1900 Park Fare Dinner

DAY 4 - 1900 PARK FARE DINNER

Sorry there are no pics since it was buffet I just didn't bother b/c I believe everyone can find something to eat on a buffet:lmao:

We actually arrived on time for this adr...>LOL:rotfl2:
We only waited about 5 mins to go inside and be seated. The chef came within 5 mins and everything on the buffet was fine for her to eat.....:woohoo: ....except the buns ofcourse:sad2: .
There is a great assortment on the buffet....my fave was this chicken dish and a seafood salad, yummy!!!!!! And dessert there were this little cups with chocolate mousse inside and with a chocolate twisted stick (I really should have taken a pic of this) and oh my god it was delicious. I went back for another and that was enough.....it is very rich so you really can't eat more than 2. And the dessert buffet had dd's fave, rice crispy squares so she was happy. So overall the food is very good for a buffet.
The characters here were Cinderella, Prince Charming, The bad stepsisters and stepmother. The character interact was very good. The prince actually sat dd in his lap as he signed her book, it was really sweet. Cinderella came down to dds level to talk to her, I got a very sweet pics of the two, the step sisters were hilarious (as always) but I felt the step mother too cold (I know that's her character but not for a little child). SO it was a great meal.

Would be go back, defiantely. Good food and good character interaction!

Up Next Ohana Breakfast

Sorry but I didn't see the desserts on display anywhere!

Thanks for getting back to me. I'm really enjoying your reviews. We don't usually eat buffets for dinner, but I'm tempted to eat at 1900 PF just to see how the stepsisters interact with my DS(16). I wish they were at breakfast too.

Your welcome!
I think you'd enjoy dinner there. There's a great assortment on the buffet and everything we tried was very good, no complaints!

Glad to hear that you enjoyed the buffet at 1900 Park Fair. We are hoping to go there on our trip in October.

DAY 5 - OHANA BREAKFAST

Here is another one we weren't late for and mainly b/c we were staying at POLY:rotfl:
We had to wait a good 15-20 mins to get seated......Ohana is always so busy everytime we went into the great ceremony building....wow!
We were seated and a chef came out in about 5 mins. Again she wouldn't have the sweet breads. So we were given a basket of sweetbreads, a plate of fruit and then our platter of eggs, bacon and sausage came. Oh I think there was also potatoes. Someone also came around with mickey waffles but he only came around once:headache: I wasnt happy about that b/c dd loves the waffles but I never saw him again and our waitress wasn't around much. :confused3 It was all good, I actually loved the sweet breads, yummy, too bad dd couldn't eat any!
I really didn't like the waitress, she seemed very rushed and not very nice!
The character interaction was good......the characters are Stitch, Mickey, Pluto and Lilo. Last year Stitch tried to drink my coffee and dd still remembers it to this day so she told Stitch not to drink mommys coffee this time and he pretended to drink dd's chocolate milk...LOL:rotfl2: She thought it was hilarious and Stitch even took the time to colour something on dds colouring page in blue ofcourse....dd loved it, Stitch was great. I felt Mickey a bit rushed but Pluto and Lilo were good too. They do a dance around the restaurant and we got up and did that, its nice for the kids!

Would be do it again...........maybe if we were staying at POLY and since we just LOVE POLY I guess we'll be staying there agaian and going to Ohana's again...LOL

Up Next Kona Cafe Dinner

We haven't been to Fulton's in quite a while. It just looks like you don't get a whole lot for the prices they charge. But if you enjoyed it, then it was worth it to you!!;)

I was thinking the same thing looking at the photos...but figured being that I'm hungry as I type this, maybe it was just me.

DAY 5 - KONA CAFE DINNER

Wow sorry I haven't finished this yeat but I am on a mission to finish now...LOL

Okay on Day 5 we had Pirate & Princess Party tickets so we had a very early (for us) dinner at Kona Cafe since it was at our resort. We were actually running a bit behind on my schedule so we decided to eat quick. No appetizers this time. For entrees dh had the filet mignon (surprise, surprise), I had the shrimp & scallops, grandpa had the prime rib, grandma had the mahi-mahi and dd had the grilled chicken with pasta (tomato sauce). SOrry we were in such a hurry to get the the P&PP that I forgot to take pictures. Okay the reviews: dh said his steak was just okay, he said he definately had better this week, my shrimp were not but definately not enough of them, the scallops were also good but I did not like the wasabi sauce too much. Grandma loved her mahi-mahi and grandpa said his prime rib was just okay. I was a bit shocked that our meal wasn't better. For drinks I had the blue glow tini and that was definately good:lovestruc Honestly I forget what we had for dessert, it couldn't have nee that good:lmao:

Would we go back? Probably just because we always stay at POLY and its a convenience meal but it better taste better than this time.

Up next Chef Mickey Breakfast

We've been less than pleased with our last two dinners at KONA. It's definitely not on our list any longer.

DAY 6 - CHEF MICKEY Breakfast

We arrived to Chef Mickey on time for our ressie:thumbsup2 and we had to wait no more than 10 minutes to be seated. We were told a chef would be there soon to discuss dd peanut allergy and he showed up in about 10 minutes. We were told that the buffet is dangerous:scared1: , and I saw that and already knew that, there is a peanut butter pizza on the buffet. Why oh why do they have to put peanut butter on a buffet:confused: Whatever! SO the chef asked what dd would like to eat and he brought her mickey waffles from the kitchen. The food was overall good, nothing special. There were some good pasteries but dd could not eat them. I really didn't like our waiter, very rushed, very inattentive. Character interaction was good.

Would we go back - probably but only because dd loves Mickey and Minnie and its a great chance to see them.

Up next Narcoossee dinner with pictures!

We've been less than pleased with our last two dinners at KONA. It's definitely not on our list any longer.

Oh no I was kind of hoping they were having a bad day. We have eaten breakfast there and its good (but I don't like the tonga toast like the majority do...LOL)

DAY 6 - NARCOOSSEE DINNER

Okay this was our last dinner of our trip and I purposely planned to eat at Narcoossee on that night. We had a 8:30pm adr b/c we want to catch wishes. We waited about 5 minutes to be seated. We were seated on the second level and its a great view of the water and of the castle (I just love that castle:lovestruc )
Its a beautiful restaurant!
For appetizers dh and grandpa oredred the mussels and they both said they were excellent. I ordered the Bisque and it was excellent but wow there wasn't much!:sad2:
For entrees myself and grandpa ordered the full lobster and dh and grandma ordered the surf and turf, dd had the chicken fingers and fries.
Okay the full lobster was very good. It was already cracked so it was easy eating. It came with some brocollini and potato gratin. All very good.
884.jpg

The surf and turf was also very good, apparently the steak was excellent but teh lobster was just good, it wasn't as good as the whole lobster.
885.jpg

DD chicken fingers were very good almost as good as Fultons Crab House.

We also ordered a bottle of wine that was very good, sorry I forget which one.

DH, grandpa and I ordered the almond crusted cheesecake and honestly it has too much almond. And I am not talking about the sahved almonds on the outside, its the almond extract that they use in the cheesecake, its just over-powering.
891.jpg

DD had the smores and its the first time she has had smores and she didn't like to put it all together and she didn't like the crackers so she ate the marshmellows and chocolate separately.
890.jpg

Wishes was beautiful to watch. They actually turn down the lights at the restaurant so we can really appreciate the fireworks.

It was a very long dinner, over 2 hours and it was a very expensive dinner.

Would we go back......in a heartbeat!

Up next, Grand Floridian Cafe for breakfast.

Great reviews! I especially appreciate the reviews of the princess meals. We are trying CRT (lunch) for the 1st time in August because I need a Cinderella guarantee. We ate ate Park Faire last year (with the mice) and were all set to do that again this year, but DD saw a picture of the step-mother and got quite nervous about the whole thing. So, CRT it is.:thumbsup2

DAY 7 - GRAND FLORIDIAN CAFE breakfast

Okay originally our flight was suppose to leave at 10am so I didn't have an adr for breakfast but then it got changed to 6pm so I had to come up with a last minute adr for breakfast and while grand floridian was not my first choice it was available. So dd had the mickey ears pancakes with chocolate chips and it was very large and very delicious. DH and grandma had the eggs benedict and they were just okay. Grandpa had the frittata and it was bad, it had no flavour what so ever and I was shocked it was served with nothing. It was just a very flat egg white with some veggies (they were hard to see) on a huge plate. I had the french toast and it was good and it came with bacon. We also ordered some Frozen Cappucinnos and they were okay, not like Tim Hortons but they did. Honestly I was expecting alot more from Grand Floridian Cafe.

Would be go back - NOPE!

So there you have it. I hope you all enjoyed my reviews. If you have any questions, please let me know.
I can't wait to return to WDW

:cool1:

Wow great reviews and the pictures were a bonus. I've heard really nothing good about Tony's except for your review. The food didn't look bad at all either. I actually might think of making a ADR next time. Thanks again for the hard work and the pictures.
