We're back! That's Magical...our 1st Annual Couples Trip! Almost finished...

We've been stuck behind families like that at mini-golf courses. And i've also been a part of the "slow" family...haha. But when I've been with larger groups, we always let the people behind us go ahead so they aren't stuck the whole time.

I've never been on Kali because we always go to the parks in January. Sounds like you had fun on it though!

Kali is a ton of fun...very short. I wouldn't go on it if I had to wait in line. But that was one of those nights where nothing was planned and we had so much fun.

Cute custom ears. I didn't even know those existed. I'm a bad DISer. Haha.

ooh I LOVE all the custom ears!!! Jeesh it's been 4 years since I've been, so I didn't even know these existed!! anyway...they are really cute!

I think they are knew. Lauren and I had SOOO much fun making them.

Ok before I finish day 4 I think I ought to explain the title of my pj. Eric had only been to Disney once, as a kid, and didn't remember much. A few days into our trip, kinda half joking Eric called something magical. Well it stuck...and soon everything was magical. Everything from the meals we ate to the toilet paper in the bathroom. To this day he still makes that joke every once in a while he randomly say, That's Magical.

Ok so we headed back to the hotel to collect our men and change. I am sure a lot of these afternoons we went back napped/swam/showered, I just didn't include it in our TR.

Tonight our plans were for Disney Quest with dinner at Raglan Road. Disney Quest was a ton of fun. We grabbed a quick lunch first and then hit up some rides. I think one of the funnest things we did was Pirates...always my favorite!! After we sufficiently wore the boys out we went on for dinner. Not sure if I can post this pic but it still makes me giggle...

So on to dinner...I had eaten at Raglan Road before but no one else had. OMG it was seriously amazing...here's the proof on Pat's face.

I won't bore you with our food pictures, but it definitely was amazing. Now maybe Lauren will fill in the gaps but I don't remember anything after dinner... This might have been the night we attempted EMH at the studios (terrible disaster lol).

However, Lauren can not fill you in today as she is celebrating her 2nd anniversary with her hubby! Congratulations again!!!!

After dinner we went to EMH at DHS. I do have a few photos from that night.

Here is Eric in front of American Idol. Wow that boy has a love for American Idol it is hilarious!

We didn't do much other than go to a few shows and walk around. We went to Little Mermaid, Muppets and the Disney Artist show thing.

We did stop to take a picture in front of the San Francisco street (That is where I a grew up FYI)

It ended up being super crowded that night so we went to Walmart to get towels for Typhoon Lagoon the next day. We did grab a fast pass for Rockin' Roller Coaster just in case we wanted to come back into the park after Walmart but...on our way to Walmart we got stuck in traffic because of some work they were doing on the road. We sat there for so long it was awful. We were so exhausted at that point we got super crazy in the car. One of the funniest car rides the whole trip aside from when Amanda and Eric tried to eat their massive carmel apple (that comes later ).

We thought the same thing about the little girl and the bottle. I couldn't NOT take a picture it was too priceless.

CRT is really fun actually. The inside is amazing!

Today was Eric and my first anniversary. We didn't have special plans until that night. What we did have plans for was Typhoon Lagoon. In all my trips to Disney...even when I worked there, I had NEVER been to a water park. I think we were all pretty excited. We stopped by the food court for a quick breakfast before heading out.

I don't really remember the order of anything we did, but I will say this day was one of my favorites!! Typhoon lagoon was amazign!! The park was designed so well. We had an awesome time. We had some drinks, some lunch and overall just had a great time!! Here are a few pics from the wave pool!!

And then knocked us over!

That night is one of our only times that trip where Lauren and I have different trip reports!! After the day at Typhoon Eric and I napped a bit before heading over to Animal Kingdom Lodge. We had booked a studio for our anniversary and had ADR's at Jiko. We arrived and checked in with no problem.

I think this was the view from one of the hall windows...not our room. We had animals but not Giraffes (Erics fav!)

After we checked in we headed down to the pool...although we never made it in for a swim, lol. We sat at the bar for a few hours, had some drinks and just relexed together. It was a really nice time.

We then headed back to the room to get ready for dinner. At the last minue we tried changing our ressie back to Citricos but the ADR system was down so we kept Jiko...and I am so glad we did. We seriously had an AMAZING dinner!! We sampled a few wines before deciding on a glass and we started dinner with Crispy Savanna Rolls...they were to die for!! Dinner was great, we both had the filet. I wasn't impressed with dessert but Eric loved his!

After dinner we went to Victoria Falls for some drinks. This is where I had my first glow in the dark drink!

Probably because I just took screen shots from photopass, we haven't bought any of our photos yet.

Thank! it was so much fun walking by a window and never knowing what you might see. After dinner we went outside and met the nicest CM from Africa who answered all Eric's questions about Zebra's lol

Sorry, I'm totally clueless when it comes to Animal Kingdom. We went for 1/2 a day last year but it was so crowded we couldn't wait to get out! Maybe next year we'll give it a whirl. Good report so far!

The night that Amanda and Eric celebrated their anniversary, Pat and I hit up a couple parks of course! My favorite is MK and his is Epcot so we decided to go to MK, grab some dinner, and then head over to Epcot for EMH. Here's a lovely photo of Pat waiting for the bus (which only took about a minute which was enough time for me to annoy him with my camera!) You can see me in his sunglasses

I remember going on Pirates, Buzz Lightyear, and then It's A Small World.

We went on other things too but I don't remember them. I do remember our last stop before heading to Epcot was Splash Mountain. I LOVE riding it when the park is lite up and that night it was perfect.
Going to MK ended up being the best decision. No one was there! We walked on to most everything except Splash, but it's wait was only 30 minutes.

We went to Epcot crossing our fingers for Soaring but it was too busy (150 minute wait at 10pm). So we did things like the Nemo and Friends Ride.

And Pat's favorite...my least favorite...Living with the Land.

We didn't feel a huge need to get everything done at Epcot because we knew the next morning we were meeting Amanda and Eric there when it opened to jump right on Soaring!!

Ok...so my photopass photos are there now. I definitely checked them a while ago and they were gone! Now it says they expire mid September. So excited!!! My American Idol photos are there and I was so sad I couldn't buy them

So I figured I can't very well start my next PTR if this one isn't finished yet...so back to the trip!! Bear with me as I try to remember where we are, lol.

Next up was our morning at EPCOT. Since we had stayed at AK the night before we were meeting Lauren and Patrick there. Here is a pic while we waited.

Ok that wasn't very good, lol. Thankfully a nice man stopped and took our picture for us.

We then met up with Lauren and Patrick. I am sad my photopass pics expired because there was a great one of us in front of spaceship earth. Without knowing, we all dress in coordinating colors, lol.

Here we are waiting in line...the boys are acting...well like they normally do!

We asked if they could act normal for 2 seconds:

As we walked in we noticed Daisy...and a friend just smelling the flowers!! Lauren started taking pics and she began posing!!

We headed straight for Soarin' which we rode first and then grabbed fastpasses.

Next up was Test Track...we may have ridden Ellen in between, but I can't remember.

Before we left we stopped by the Animation shop by Spaceship Earth. I think we would all agree this was one of the best moments of the entire trip. Eric was intent on getting one of the handdrawn pictures to take home...as was Lauren. I let Eric pick out whatever he wanted...Patrick on the other hand took some convincing. As we were debating who should get what we began talking to the animator...Eddie. Eddie told us all about how he ended up as an artist with Disney and he had grown up drawing Hanna Barbara cartoons. As he talked to us he began to draw Fred Flintsone right in front of us!!

He gave the drawing of Fred Flintstone to Lauren and Patrick...Eric was bummed but still very excited about the drawing he ordered. Patrick finally gave in and Lauren go this:

We were on our way out to head back to the hotel before dinner that night. Eddie was awesome and Eric talked about him for the rest of the trip!

After napping/swimming/showering it was time to head out again. We had ADR's at Le Cellier but our first stop was the Boardwalk. We were all thinking about staying here for our Wedding trip in March but I was the only one who had been there before.

After spending time exploring the resort and taking pictures, it was time to head to EPCOT.

We were SO excited to eat here and it was one of the best meals of the trip!!

It's so nice traveling with a professional photographer

This is about as excited as Pat gets...and it's usually for dinner, lol.
