We're back! That's Magical...our 1st Annual Couples Trip! Almost finished...

I don't have many pictures from Day Three...and for good reason ;)

On Day 2, while at AK, GMax mentioned that they were going to EMH on Monday night to ride Everest in the dark. Even though I already had plans (Mini Golf with dinner at Wolf Gang Pucks MY FAVORITE!) however, Eric thought EMH at his new favorite park was a great idea. SO in my attempt to be flexible...we changed plans.

We decided to sleep in a bit (GASP!) and then figure out what to do. To start out we headed to DTD to grab some lunch. By the time we left the hotel it was at least noon anyway. As a compromise we went to WGP Express. I loved our meal but Eric deemed it mediocre. I think it was just what he got. We went to a few shops, but man it was HOT! I was starting to second guess upcoming plans.

After leaving DTD we decided to head to Fantasia Gardens mini-golf. Eric is an avid golfer and this was described as a "realistic" mini-golf course. I knew it was going to be hot but by the time we arrived it was just gross outside. We were hoping there would be plenty of shade.

Our first problem was we arrived on the 1st hole just after another family. We played the first hole and quickly caught up with them....we thought it was wierd but hung out and waited. This went on for the next 13 holes!!! I don't know what they were doing but it seemed each hole took them LONGER AND LONGER!!! And the it seemed to be getting hotter and stickier. We finally decided to go around them and just finish up.

Our second problem was this course was NOT realistic. The "sand bunkers" were actually just holes in the ground filled with rocks. The course was extremely hard and overall just NOT fun.

Before we had left the hotel we switched around our dining reservations and decided to try out Tusker House. So off we headed to Animal Kingdom. The first thing we did when we go there was to buy one of those $17 spray water bottles. :lmao: I know they are $17 but we were just miserable.

We hit up a few things we missed to kill some time before out Tusker House ressie. Finally 5 rolled around and we headed to Tusker House. Now this was a pretty good meal, however, not on the top of my list to go to again NOR would I pay that much for a buffet. But it was air conditioned, we had good drinks and filled our belly's.

It was still pretty light out so we did the Safari again, It's Tough to be a Bug and I even got Eric to try Hester and Jesters!!!

Eric was dying to try Kali River Rapids but I didn't want to walk around soaked...I knew what could happen, lol. The wait for Everest wasn't too bad so we hopped in line. We ended up going on 2 or 3 times. We decided before we left the park we would check out Kali...a wait time of only 20 minutes!!

Well the 20 minutes was really only walking through the queue. Eric was so excited. I warned him it was possible to get completely drenched! We boarded our raft and began up the hill. I have to admit that the ride was pretty cool in the dark! Well then came the big moment...as we approached the drop our raft quickly turned and guess who went down first?:scared1:

We walked off the ride as though we had jumped in the pool with our clothes on! As we passed the entrance we thought, what the heck. The wait is only 5 minutes...and you can't get WETTER can you? :lmao: Apparently you can!!

Even though our plans changed, we ended up having a great day. I unfortunately didn't think about what would happen if I continually sprayed myself with water all day...washing off all the sun screen. My sunburn wasn't too bad but I was hoping NOT to get one at all.

Coming up...Day 4 Lauren and Patrick arrive!!

I wish we got to do AK at night! It sounds like so much fun. Every time I hear you talk about that mini golf course I crack up!:lmao: It sounds awful!!!

Wooo hooo for Day 4:cool1:

Dude it's about time you posted an update here lol!

Oh and we are booking our Oct trip this week. We are going Sep 28-Oct 4.

Just found this report! How fun :)

I think we're going back just for a couple days for my bday in Oct, but haven't told the girls yet in case the trip doesn't come to fruition!!

More More!! Love it so far, the cake looks soooo yummy... but I happen to be a hugeeee cake fan lol!

I'm ready for Day 4 because we get there!!!:cool1:

What a bad TR writer I am...yuck.

So I will start and let Lauren jump in as Day 4 is the day they arrived!!

Our plan was to start off the day at Magic Kingdom and once Lauren and Patrick arrived we would eat and drink around the world. We arrived at Magic Kingdom pretty early and I found at Lauren and Patrick were just arriving in Orlando and wanted to meet up with us!!:cool1:

We hit up a few rides before heading to the Main St Bakery to meet Lauren and Patrick. I was so excited they were finally here!!

I think we did a few things before decided it was way too hot.

I let Eric drive for once!

On the way out we stopped for Dole Whips. I think I was the only one who had ever had one:scared1: Let's just say they were a crowd pleaser!!

ry%3D400

I have no pictures from our night at EPCOT so hopefully Lauren will stop by and finish up day 4!!

I vow on our next trip to take LOADS of pictures!!!

I will finish Day 4 when I get home in a couple hours:) I still LOVE that photo of Pat and I in the car. He looks like we are going so fast :lmao:

Yea it does, lol. But he is making that face in the picture with the Dolw Whips too :lmao:

Ok...so I am pretty sure Amanda forgot about one of the best parts of the first day - looking at the Wedding Pavilion and going to Francs!! :cool1: I don't have photos of that part but we did go there. Beautiful:lovestruc I also never brought my SLR with me during this day so all pictures our just my point and shoot.

After dragging the boys around the Grand Floridian (they were good sports:rotfl:) we headed back to the hotel to shower and rest a little before heading out to Epcot to eat and drink around the world. Me and DH hadn't even put our stuff in our room yet.

Once we got to Epcot, our first stop was Mexico. We first stopped inside to show Eric how amazing it is in there and then we went on Gran Fiesta Tour.

We left the air conditioned Mexico to get nachos as our first meal around the world. Starting the drinking portion of the evening, Amanda and Eric got beer (Pat does not drink so he only participated in the eating around the world portion:goodvibes) but I started out strong with a Margarita!

Ok, nice shot of Margarita:laughing:

Before leaving Mexico we made the boys put on Sombreros. This was only the beginning of us putting silly things on them during this trip! They look unusually ok with wearing them though...

I believe we stopped in Norway but didn't find anything suitable to eat or drink so we quickly proceeded on. We wanted to catch the next showing of the Acrobats in China! (DH's favorite).

We continued around the world. I believe we stopped in Japan to eat again but I don't have photos to prove it so who knows.:lmao: DH and I did stop for a lovely photo in...Germany...I think...lol
4936_547585806921_43005382_32623948_393471_n.jpg

While in Germany Eric, of course, had to get beer. Amanda and I were heading to Italy though...

...for our Bellinis!!! I could drink one of those everyday:lovestruc
4936_547585831871_43005382_32623953_1800853_n.jpg

We continued through Morocco and once we hit France we got Grey Goose and Grand Marnier Slushies
4936_547585846841_43005382_32623956_7515256_n.jpg

We planned on finding a spot for Illuminations, and we did find an ok one, but we decided that we would do it another night. Pat and I were exhausted from driving all night and Eric had never seen it before so we decided to wait for when we could get better seats. We decided to head back but on our way through Future World we stopped and rode on Spaceship Earth.
Here's a lovely photo of Pat and Amanda waiting in line...:rotfl:

That was the end of Day 4 (or Day 1 for Pat and I:cool1:). Day 5 is when Amanda and I had the best morning EVER!!:cheer2:

YAY for Day 4! I love that you get to particpate now...even if no one else is reading it :rotfl:

I love the idea of drinking/eatting around the world. I just mentioned it to DF, but he didn't sound too excited. I think we have just been away from the world for far too long.

And if you write it, we will read :goodvibes

People will read it we just have to actually write it:-)

...and it looks good so far! Love the idea of the eating/drinking around the world! Just mentioned it to DH and he's game during our next trip!

I would like to start Day 5 but Lauren has the best pictures from this morning...so maybe I will let her do it!

Or....I steal the pictures off her facebook!!!

So this was our morning to have breakfast at the Castle...with the Princesses...yes you read right! Don't be jealous...

So us naughty girls parked at the Grand Floridian. We wanted to get some pics before going over...and let's face it, it was HOT.

The reason Lauren took the above picture of the cage has to do with our lovely husband/fiance. They had a rather bizarre conversation about what you would do with a large cage to which Patrick replied, put strippers in it....to which Eric responded, I would put Amanda in it:lmao:

4936_547586246041_43005382_32623972_1961461_n.jpg

I just love Lauren's photography!

Now let's preface these pics by saying I don't have a fancy camera. Lauren said just point and shoot...ya right.
4936_547586330871_43005382_32623989_6294832_n.jpg

Now Lauren's turn :lmao: See the difference

So breakfast was fab and totally worth it. I would go there again. The character interaction was wierd...but it was cute overall.

We had previously discussed getting Mickey ears for our group and I had waited till Lauren got there. On our way out we decided to stop by the chapeau. We fell in love with the custom ears...

So while we waited...

We've been stuck behind families like that at mini-golf courses. And i've also been a part of the "slow" family...haha. But when I've been with larger groups, we always let the people behind us go ahead so they aren't stuck the whole time.

I've never been on Kali because we always go to the parks in January. Sounds like you had fun on it though!
