Hi everyone!

We got back Wednesday but just got back on line today.

The CBR was great! I am defintely a CBR fan!
The room was very colorful and cheerful. Housekeeping did a great job daily. The room was extremely clean ! And we even had "washcloth" creations each day when we arrived back from the parks.

We didn't get our request of a building close to OPR. We checked in @ 12:45 and by 1:00, we were in our room, Martinique Bldg 23 room 2347, 2nd floor. (the quickest check in we have ever had at WDW) The room overlooked a small courtyard with tables w/umbrellas and chairs.
It was about a 5 minute stroll to OPR.

DD loved the main swimming pool...I though the water was a little chilly.

Bus transportation to the parks was great. The longest we ever waited was 10 minutes. We waited 20-25 minutes at the parks for return trips. Only once was the bus filled to standing room (after Fantasmic)

The only downside was:
We were in a non-smoking bldg, but one of the folks on our floor was smoking out on the walkway pretty regularly and the smell of cigarette smoke did occassionally come into the room. When we were in the bathroom, we could also hear a family arguing nightly.

On our last night there, most of the rooms on our floor were empty, which made it peaceful, but lonesome.

If anyone has any questions, I'd be happy to try to answer them.

Hey Sue!

Wanna come back to CBR with us? We leave tomorrow morning. I love CBR more and more each time we go, it's like going home for me...how rude of people to be smoking in a non smoking area...I hate that. But I'm glad you had a great trip. My building request is for Jamaica 45, hope we get it, I faxed them my request Friday and said that my husband has bad knees and that they always put us too far away from OPR....last time we had Jamaica 4253, it ended up being me walking to opr alone most of the time to fill our mugs because DH's knees couldn't handle it all....hopefully we'll get 45, it was our only request

Hi. We are staying at CBR next June. Hope you don't mind answering a few questions.

My biggest concern is the location of the bldgs to the buses and how many stops the buses make. Can you suggest a building that is centrally located to food court (OPR?) and bus stop.

Thanks,

Anna

CuteKatCar:

Martinique building 26 is the closest building to the food court and very close to a bus stop, too. Other buildings that are close to both are: Martinique 25, Martinique 24, Trinidad NORTH (not South!!), buildings 31, 32, and 33. The above buildings are all on either side of Old Port Royale, which is where the food court, restaurant, shops, arcade, and main pool is.

Have a great trip! :)

Hulabird

We just returned for 2 wks at wdw. We stayed 1 week(9-16) at Cbr. i requested jamaica 45 and when we got there was given a different location, we just asked right then if it was possible to be switched and the cm came back and told us yes. so just ask the cm if they dont already have you staying there.

We just got back from a trip to CBR and the Poly today. CBR was as beautiful and as peaceful as ever. We were in Martinique Bldg 25 but WAY over near Bldg 24. I met a wonderful english grandmother, daughter, and granddaughter while we were there and even exchanged email addresses!

hulabird non smoking building just means you cannot smoke in the rooms it does not mean you cannot smoke on the balcony etc... I know because I asked. Im a smoker but very careful about the feelings of others who are not.

does anyone know what buildings are smoking and which are non smoking? i would love to stay as close as possiblre to OPR,but what are the options for a smoker??

Chrissy Trinidad North #31 is a smoking building, and right next to OPR.

Martinique 23 was very close to a bus stop and most of the time we were the third stop but once or twice on the way back from the parks, we were the first stop.

I didn't mind the smoking most of the time, but the cup of water and cigarette ashes sitting on the floor of the walkway is a different story.

We did ask on check in for a room close to OPR but because we checked in before 3pm, we were limited to the # of rooms that were ready. The cast member spent a good deal of time checking for available rooms. I didn't ask but got the feeeling that if I wanted to wait until after 3, I might have gotten my request.

One more thing about the CBR, they have the friendliest cast members at Disney.

Yes, I would go back tomorrow....

We're already planning a trip for June 2003.

Welcome back and happy to hear you had a great time. I stayed in Martinique 2336 last trip and really liked that location. By the way, where do you live? I live in Dunmore, do you know where that is?

Patio, I do indeed know where Dunmore is. I went to the other high school in town (not DHS)
