I went with my brother, SIL, niece and nephew to see the Christmas Carol Train tour yesterday in Cleveland by the Brown's Stadium. We got very lucky and got there before there was any line, we walked on to the train and by the time get got off the train the line was about 45 minutes long.
It was neat to see, but there is no way I would wait 5 hours!
It's worth about a 30 minute wait. There are I think 6 train cars you walk through where you see real costumes, models and scenes from the movie, how they made it, ect...And then there are computers where you can morph your face into one of the characters from the movie. This is the part that probably really backs up the wait time. There were four of us that wanted to morph our faces, it took some time and most people were families, so it wasn't just one person trying this, it was 2, 3, 4, or more in party. If you live by one of the stops and the line is too long for the train, try just going to the movie pre-view, the wait for that seemed shorter and the pre-view was really good.
The movie pre-view in the blow up theatre was very cool. I am now very excited to see the movie. The 3D was amazing the effect make it seem like it was snowing right in the theatre. Jim Carrey looked amazing as Scrooge and the ghosts were very real. I really enjoyed the pre-view, more so than the train. The movie looks like it is going to be amazing. My brother and I both said it was something we'd like to see at an IMAX theatre. I think it will be a hit.
