Wenches Party with the Pirates! Yo Ho, Yo Ho, a pirate named Jack Sparrow for me!

Hi Lindsey! Just found your trippie, and got caught up reading it! I am loving it! Love your interaction with Jack! How awesome! Love your house too!!

Great bathroom Lindsey!! Sorry that you didn't see Piglet at CP!:sad2: I can't wait to hear the rest!!!!

Ooohhh, I love that picture of the Polynesian!!! Where did you get it?!? I love that resort! We used to stay there all the time, and I miss it! Hopefully now that we're DVC members we can use the points to go back and stay there again sometime. I love being on the monorail loop!

Ok Lindsey, fess up... did you take the mirror and shower curtain from your room in the Poly? Just kidding, I would like to know where got that stuff though. Your bathroom looks awesome! In fact your whole house does. You are so creative. I love all the Disney touches :goodvibes

:rotfl: I was just about to post the same thing!!:rotfl:

Subscribing, can't wait to start reading, hopefully I will have time to catch up.... Everyone on the first page inspired me to read the report.

I'm SO jealous that you have the Poly mirror! I almost bought one from mousesurplus, but talked myself out of it. LOVE the bathroom!

Ok now caught up on the report, so I have some more to add, other than my lame "subscribing" post.:rotfl:

Love your Disney house, I have a Disney corner in my upstairs hallway. A special wood carved Mickey shelf, more like a piece of furniture, that I bought at a local craft fair. I really debated the purchase, but my friend said "do you know how much your husband spends on golf, you need to buy the shelf!" lol Shelf came home, and have had fun adding things, now I even have special Christmas Disney items too. I am looking forward to the day my DH finishes the basement remodel, so that I can decorate our guest bedroom Disney. It currently holds all of his sports memorabilia, but that will move downstairs when he is ready.

We attended the P&PP 2/5, really had fun, loved the emptiness of the parks, the parade was our favorite thing. Long story, but we missed the fireworks, while away from the party I ran into an off duty CM who said that Johnny Depp was the Pirate in the parade on one of the Jan dates? Anyone hear this rumor?? Looking at our pics we did not think it was him that night, but understand that he loves visiting WDW. Could you imagine seeing him, wild hey?

Love CP, originally ate breakfast there many times, love to get the earliest time, so that we can finish our meal and come out ready to explore the parks ahead of any crowds. The breakfast lasagna is my absolute favorite item. Last Oct we went for dinner the night of our MNSSHP, really had a great meal, I can't believe how much food I ate. I literally had 5 desserts, that alone was worth the price of admission. We even returned our last night there to eat again, once we find something we like we go back. Maybe some day we will try LTT.

Can't wait to hear more of your report. :wizard:

Hi Fairy Tale Bride.

I just wanted to say...I was a FTbride two years ago...but not at WDW.

HERE...
http://www.crescent-hotel.com/

RIGHT THERE IN THAT COURTYARD in the photo!!

and it reminded me of Cinderella's Castle at the time...pre WDW fascination.

Anyway your house is lovely and your pics are great.

I am a HUGE HUGE HUGE Poly fan and actually spent our first wedding anniversary there  with the three kids of course... but it was still magical!

Mickey and Minnie sent us a signed card, a TINKERBELL Pin and a floral arrangement in a DVC Mug (which I still cannot get dh to buy into!) However

I did tell him I was going to retire to WDW and play the Fairy Godmother...:rolleyes1

Anyway good luck with the job search and your wedding looks lovely. Thanks for sharing

P.S. We saw the same HOT HOT HOT Cptn Jack in August 2006. YUM. He was PERFECT in every way....I have seen pics of others as CJS but this ONE looks and acts the best!!!

DW and I are planning on retiring there too! But we're not sure what Cast Member I could be...they currently don't have any use for Oil and Gas Engineers let alone retired ones...:lmao:

Wow! I have so many posts to catch up on, but I will continue my Trippie first! It's been a very busy day here and I'm just now getting on my computer to catch-up on The DIS news! :surfweb:

Haha! No, no...I do not steal from Walt Disney World! I can't believe the accusations! :rotfl2: Just kidding! All of the Polynesian stuff is from Mouse Surplus, which is here in Orlando, where you can buy stuff WDW has thrown away. The stuff is usually pretty beaten up and needs a lot of work! I had to do a lot of work on that mirror to get it back in good shape. They also put some items for sell on EBay, but not many and the shipping is ridiculously expensive. I bought these items back in October because I could fit them in my car. WDW redid all of the Polynesian rooms, so all the old stuff went to the junk pile! The Polynesian has a special place in my heart, so I put out the money for those specific items. :goodvibes

I am glad you like my Poly bathroom! It was an idea I came up with last minute. As you can tell, I love interior design and always have. I originally wanted to be a designer, but realized I like to do what I want and what I like, not so much what others may want. :rotfl: Oh, and no that is not Disney paint on that wall and it's not the DIS Alien Green. I tired that color, but it did not blend or match the color at all! It is actually left-over paint I had from having to repaint the mirror. It was horribly cracked and scratched. I put a lot of money out to fix that thing!

The Polynesian photos you see are all from WDW and were all bought there, either at the Magic Kingdom or the Polynesian Resort. The one I have will not be there anymore though, most likely because it was for 2006. I'm sure they will have others now.

I think I answered most of your questions and now you know I am not a WDW criminal! :rotfl: Hope you've all had a great day! Oh, and my gutters are now FINALLY installed on the house! :woohoo: I'm glad that's over!

The Wenches Party with the Pirates!

It was finally time for the Pirate & Princess Party to begin! Us Wenches made our way over to Adventureland and we were quite shocked to see how empty the park was, but I was enjoying it! Our first stop of the night was, of course, Pirates of the Caribbean! We got a boat all to ourselves, so we took our seat right up front! This has always been a favorite ride of mine, but now with Johnny in it, I just can't get enough!

We walked out and didn't see any Pirate & Princess Party events taking place and I thought this was quite odd. We walked up near the front of Adventureland and that's when I saw it...

n25002324_31686346_299.jpg

Well, we figured out where everyone was! :rotfl2: The wait was already 50 minutes and the party had just begun! I couldn't believe we wasted that time walking around when we needed to be in line. Oh well, Captain Jack is worth 50 minutes of my time! We were in line with a large group of fellow pirates, so it was quite fun! There were little boys in their Captain Jack costumes sword fighting and even a little Davy Jones was there!

I was hoping that "this" Captain Jack would be my new crush from earlier! We finally made our way to the back room, where they were taking in just a few groups at a time to meet Captain Jack and each family was spending way too much time with him! The room was decorated with treasure chests and it was a pretty neat set-up! I saw Captain Jack, but it was not the one from earlier. This one had the mannerisms and the voice was even more like him, but the look was just not there for me. He asked my name and said it was lovely. I did tell him that he was the hottest pirate I've ever seen wearing eyeliner and that got a huge laugh from the group behind us. He laughed and said, "It does bring out my eyes!"

n25002324_31687492_8653.jpg

One of my favorite characters to meet is Captain Hook! He is hilarious and I just love getting on his nerves! It is Pirate night, so we had to go see him! There was a long wait, so we got in line and, of course, he had to take a break at that time too. I was finally first my turn and the Photopass guy was not paying attention at all and I was still standing there waiting for him to take my card. Captain Hook got very irritated and walked up to me, took my Photopass card, and threw it on the ground!

I turned around and yelled, "Hey, Captain Jack Sparrow's pictures are on that card and he's a much better looking Captain than you are! Maybe you should start wearing more makeup!" :rotfl2: Well, that just really ticked Captain Hook off and he grabbed Mickey and took-off with poor little Mickey in his hook! :scared1: Everyone was cracking-up as I chased him yelling, "Save Mickey! Save Mickey!" I went over and got Smee and told him I needed his help and he took my arm and we went to get Mickey from the evil Captain Hook! :lmao: Finally, Captain Hook returned Mickey and I told him, "Thanks codfish!" We were just not getting along, as you can see in our lovely photo! :rotfl: I told Smee I wanted to hold his arm, but I wanted nothing to do with his mean Captain. I guess Captain Hook felt the same way about me! It was the best encounter I've ever had and I just love this photo!

n25002324_31687493_8988.jpg

We then left Adventureland and decided to head over to the Liberty Belle Riverboat, which was giving a haunted ghost ride for the party! There was no one around and on our way I saw Meeko all by himself in the corner! I had never seen him before, so I decided to go meet him. I was in the process of waving to him and walking over to him and then out of nowhere, three kids came running in front of me with no parent in sight. The Photopass people thought the kids were with us and we were like, "Uh no!" The CM already had my Photopass card in the camera and my Mom had to yell, "Don't take a picture using our card." We finally saw their mother hiding over behind us in the dark and didn't care that her rude children have no manners. They didn't even want a picture with Meeko and then they took off again. The Photopass people apologized and couldn't believe that just happened. Meeko was shaking his head because he saw the entire incident take place and he greeted me with a big hug, and he kissed my hand before I walked away. Awww...

Arrrr! Be back for more adventure tomorrow!

thats it Lindsey you are def hired to help me decorate my house... when i get one that is:rotfl: with the cost of this disney wedding it doesnt look like it will be anytime soon:lmao: a polynesian bathroom what a cool idea:banana:    You are def giving me some ideas for my future house:thumbsup2 by the way, i def recognize that backscratcher;) What a great drink that was i was def doing the banana dance after that:banana:   i love the polynesian its my favorite resort by far. we are staying at the contemporary for our honeymoon because of the nice discount we got it was like 30% off compare to 15% for the poly.
~ ps where did you get that mirror??? I am assuming you didnt carry it out of the room with you when u checked out, but if u did that would be CLASSIC:rotfl2:

We are thinking about staying at the Contemporary for our anniversary! My parents also stayed there for their first anniversary, now that I think of it. Hmmmm....odd. So, now my parents and I have stayed at the same places for the Disneymoon and Anniversary! Too weird and funny! :goodvibes

You are right! That is the backscratcher from the drink! My DH ordered that on the Disneymoon and of course I kept it and now I have a special place for it in the bathroom! :rotfl2: Here he is with it on the Disneymoon!

n25002324_30828137_4515.jpg

Oh, and just let me know when you want me to come be your decorator! ;)

Ohhh I love your bathroom! How did you get to keep the mirror? Did they offer it to you?

You are giving me so many ideas for when I move out and have my own house. I actually ordered a mirror off of disneyshopping.com outlet. Its a black iron rectangle with mickeys all around it. I figure I better start collecting stuff now.

Yup, I saw that mirror too and love it! I just don't have the room for another one at this moment, but I sure wish I did. Oh, and I wrote all about the Poly mirror in my main post, so everyone knows how I got it! ;)

Subscribing, can't wait to start reading, hopefully I will have time to catch up.... Everyone on the first page inspired me to read the report.

I am so glad you are joining my Trippie!

Hi there again! :yay:
That's a very interesting Johnny Depp rumor, but it's not true. If it was, the word about it would have leaked out and we would definitely have pictures of him around if he were there in the parade! It doesn't sound like something he would actually do. It would be amazing if it happened, but I think that's just a nice rumor someone is spreading around. It is true that he takes his kids to WDW quite often though. I've been obsessed with him, since I was 8 and saw "Edward Scissorhands!" :rotfl2:
Oh, and you need to go back and try LTT! We ate there for the first time when we went to MNSSHP and the food is fantastic! The character interaction is great too and the best I've ever had at one of the restaurants. I am craving some of that mac 'n cheese now that I'm thinking about it! Yummy!

Hi! :yay:
Wow, that is a beautiful place where you got married! I am so glad you got some extra magic on your anniversary! We didn't get anything on our Disneymoon and we got married there. I was pretty shocked. No extra magic for us! I am hoping for our first anniversary that we will get some magic! :wizard: :wizard: This is the "Year of a Million Dreams" after all! :cheer2:

We were at the party feb 1 and again on the 5th. It really was nice they way they had it done. I would be surprised if someone from here on the di was at it on feb 1st and did not spot us considering our costumes lol. Your house is gorgeous you're a very lucky woman.

Lindsey,

I'm just loving everything. All the recaps and your photos from your house are awesome. I have to read it away from DH now though, because he saw the photos of your dining room and has been pleading with me that we can decorate our house the same way. The thing is...we don't have a house yet :rotfl: and our apartment is already overtaken by our Mickey stuff.

I loved the story about Hook, and I can't believe that you found Meeko. I looked everywhere for Pocahontas, and finally found her at AK, but I've never seen Meeko!

I don't know about that...but he was in Ft. Lauderdale (Pompano Beach actually) on Jan 26-28. So maybe he took a side trip? I was at WDW the weekend before that, and I did see a few plaid vests walking around the MK...but I didn't recognize anyone they were with. Believe me, if I had seen Johnny Depp I would have lost all sense of propriety! (and speech, and motor skills...):worship:

Just getting caught up since I had to work the past two days! I am sorry you never for to met Piglet...that is sad. But it looks like you were having a great time at the Party. I love the picture with Capt. Hook and it looks like is was a great and dun encounter.

Whatever you want to know about AKL let me know, just PM me. I have stayed there twice and am about to book my Disneymoon there this week. I would love to stay at the Poly of GF but we could stay concierge at AKL for the same amount of just under. I will PM you this evening when I have more time!

Can't wait to read more!!! pirate:

Awesome picture! pirate: The Jack Meet & Greet is worth the price of admission! Note to self: MUST go to P&P party next year! :thumbsup2

I just love your new house! You've done a great job Disney decorating it! :goodvibes I especially like the Mickey chandelier. I was looking at that one, too, but didn't get it... yet. Good luck with getting a job in WDW!!! Let us know as soon as you're hired. :thumbsup2

Take care,
Michelle

You always have the best character stories!! I cant believe Capt hook was jealous...obviously Capt Jack sparrow is wayyy hotter. lol I guess hes just jealous :confused3 . hahaha. Anyway I love the pic of you and Meeko! Very cute! I cant beleive the mother of those kids didnt even say excuse me or sorry. I just cant believe how some parents are teaching there kids manners its really unbelievable.

Ah well hope you had a great day and I cant wait for more!
