I think our travel agent actually set up all the extra goodies, not WDW or the Poly...just to clarify.

Enjoying the story...

Lindsey, I cannot believe you got to meet Captain Jack! That's the best picture ever :goodvibes

DF and I just decided we may be going to WDW in 4 weeks for my bday! I am soooo excited! We would get such a great AP rate at the WL :) I've never planned a trip in this little amount of time... I am so jealous you could just drive right over to the Mouse House whenever you want. So lucky :cloud9:

I had a small crisis tonight with the house! :sad2: :scared: :headache:

It has been a crazy and hectic night!

I'm okay and everything is fine for the moment. Sorry, no update today.

I can finally get to sleep at 3:00am!

Hopefully, I can have a free moment tomorrow to get back on The DIS!

The joys of home ownership! Hope all is well now.

Hi Lindsey! Just got caught up on your trippie...Captain Jack!!!! :worship: :faint: How exciting! Hope everything's ok at the house. Sending some pixie dust for ya! pixiedust:

Hi all! :wave2:
I am finally getting to sit down at the computer. I'm sorry, but I won't be able to respond to your posts right now and I'm still trying to catch-up on my PM's. It's been a hectic past couple of days here.
Well, here's what happened last night in a nutshell...
Of course, it was midnight when this happened when no one is around or available. I was in the shower for about two minutes and I heard a loud burping like sound coming from the toilet and then looked down and realized the water was rising in the stand-up shower. The water wasn't going down the drain and the stand-up shower doesn't have much space before it will start to overflow. I hadn't even put shampoo in my hair yet and I turned the water off and got out of the shower. I messed with the toilet for a few minutes and saw that it was making the water in the stand-up shower rise higher! :scared: :confused3
I then ran into the other bathroom on the other side of the house and saw the water was rising in that toilet and brown water was coming up into the bathtub! :scared1: I ran back to the master bathroom and looked in the garden tub and brown water was flowing into it too! I was freaking out at this point thinking the house is going to flood and I have no clue what is happening! I grabbed my phone and called DH and no answer! I then called my parents and woke my Mom up and told her the situation. I told her to wake-up my Dad to find out what to do! We thought there was a main pipe messed-up in the neighborhood or my main pipe to my house was blocked. I finally got a hold of DH and we managed to get the number to the city.
Luckily, the water stopped, but it was clogged everywhere and not draining, which meant I couldn't run water and no working toilets. Here I was trapped and it was about 1:00am by this point. My hair was wet and dirty and I had to quickly fix myself up to go exploring around the house in the dark to see if there were any pipes leaking and to wait for the utility guy to make a trip to my house. He arrived at 2:00am and checked out the pipes and told me it was my issue because it was one of our house's pipes. DH was calling emergency plumber numbers and getting nothing. I had no choice, but to pack up and find a hotel somewhere because I had no water or a toilet. By this point, the kitchen sink was making popping sounds.
All the hotels in the area were booked! That's what you get living in tourist town! My next step was calling WDW to see what they had available. I was on the phone with DH still trying to decide what to do and I heard a loud pop! It sounded like the toilet exploded and I took off to see what happened and the water and all quickly sucked down in that toilet and the same thing with the other one! The toilets were actually vibrating and shaking against the walls.
I was thrilled! Maybe I didn't need to pack-up and leave by myself in the middle of the night. I checked the toilets and they were now flushing and all the water flowed down the drains. It was like magically nothing had ever happened.
I finally got to sleep around 4:00am, so it has been a long day! We called a plumber this morning, but they were going to charge us $350 just to take a look at it! I don't think so! They said there was probably something stuck in there from the previous owners and then it was slowly backing-up and it was probably all pushed out by the water pressure last night. Right now, we are just going to watch and see what happens. I am keeping my fingers crossed that all is well. I don't want to deal with that again in the middle of the night!
I am now safe and sound. I hope it stays that way! :)
What a night! :scared:

Under the Sea

Arrrrr! We are back matey! pirate:

It was time to set sail on the Liberty Belle Riverboat with the ghost of Jolly Roger at the helm!

Well, I was real excited about this idea, but it didn't live up to the excitement. It was just riding on the Liberty Belle in the dark. Oh well!

There was a sound track going on over the boat, but it wasn't loud enough and we could not hear it at all from where we were sitting. We decided to take the time to sit back and relax. It could have been a lot better and I was expecting a ghostly story teller on board or some thing like that.

Mickey was already exhausted from the evening's adventures, so we laid down on the benches for a little shut-eye.

We left the Riverboat Riviera area over at Liberty Square and it was finally time to party over in Fantasyland! Us Wenches were going to have to run the Princess out of their kingdom over there! :rotfl:

We made our way over to Ariel's Court, which is the one area I really want to go see! I was so excited when I saw Sebastian's Under the Sea Dance Party taking place! It was by far the best dance party! I couldn't believe what I saw! There were fish twirling and spinning across the dance floor and there was Sebastian in the corner dancing around. I was loving this and I had to join in!

I was standing near Pinocchio's Village Haus and I heard my Mom yell my name. I turned around and there was Flounder trying to fit through the door! It was the funniest thing I had ever seen! Poor little Flounder couldn't fit through the door and there were two CM's helping to wedge him through! :rotfl2: I couldn't believe what I was seeing, but there was Flounder walking in front of me!

n25002324_31687500_2043.jpg

It was the most interesting character costume I think I have ever seen at WDW! I know he is a rare character to see out and about, and there he was shaking his fin on the dance floor!

I saw that Ariel was out for a meet and greet in her cove and I had never met Ariel! I had always wanted to meet her, but the line has always been so long. Well, it was no different this night because the wait was around 50 minutes too, but there was no sun and it was cool outside. We decided Ariel was worth the wait tonight, so we got in line to meet her. Mickey was overjoyed about this because he is in love with all of the Princesses and Ariel is his favorite. It's just something about those seashells! ;)

It seemed like we were in that cove forever waiting to meet Ariel, but it was finally our turn! I saw that Prince Eric was there too! I had no idea he was there and I was so excited to see them both together! I love Prince Eric, he is my favorite Prince! I had a little crush on him when I was younger. :rotfl:

Ariel was just beautiful and I told her that Mickey wanted her to hold him for the picture. She was so happy to get to hold Mickey and I told her she had a very handsome Prince by her side. ;)

It was so neat to get to sit by Ariel on the coral reef and it really does feel like you are under the sea in there. I finally had to leave the sea and Ariel told me,"Thanks for swimming by!"

Aww Im sorry that you had issues with the toilets and showers. Thats really weird. Im glad everything is alright now.

I love that picture of you, Ariel and Prince Eric. That prince is very cute. lol :lmao:

I hope you got some more sleep last night and nothing crazy happened.

Oh Lindsey, it sounds like that was an awful mess. I am glad that everything seems to be ok for now, but ugh, it sure sounds like it made for a very long night. Hopefully everything will continue to be ok!!!:)

I'm glad everything's ok now, it sounds like a nightmare. The pictures of ariel etc are great. I love the one of flounder isn't he lovely.

Lindsey, WOW!! I hope that you eventually get that thoroughly looked at (your plumbing). I worked in Real Estate for a while and we had a similar situation happen. We sold a house to some people who didnt disclose that they had redone their plumbing (it was illegally done plumbing at that).... The new owners then moved in and had the same problem you are having. This made them move completely out of their house in Knoxville, TN and had to go live with relatives in Memphis. Their jobs were jeopardized and everything. It made for a huge legal battle and a house that wasn't livable. It is a very serious matter and could be something that the builders/previous owners have done. You need to have someone look at it-- because if you purchased this through a realtor-- and this was going on before you moved into the house-- and it wasnt disclosed on the property disclosure (or atleast this is the way RE in TN works)... it can most assuredly come back on the previous owners. What you need to do is contact the Real Estate agent who sold you the house...

She will probably tell you to have a plumber look at it but if it isnt your fault then you dont need to pay-- it should have been disclosed to you!

Good luck with everything:thumbsup2 Let me know how it goes!!

Also-- I love Flounders costume. Ive never seen him before. Did you get any photos of Sebastian? I cant say ive seen him before ever!!

Good Luck, I know this has to be so incredibly stressful for you!:grouphug:
