Just got back from the library, which not only is actually OPEN after work (gasp!), but had book 4 in a series I'm reading right now and couldn't find anywhere else, and even had book 3 in that "mancer" series I was reading about a year ago and went searching high and low for but couldn't find!

So cool! :D I'm very happy to be in this county where I can go to this nice big library instead of the baby one I had to visit at the apartment.

I go to our library quite often.

Libraries...bah!!! I had such an issue getting a library card when I first moved up here to Indy, that I ended up not getting one. I live in a town that has a nice big college campus size library (read: well funded). But unfortunately I live on the north side of the street they consider the cut off point for the library membership. They say I have to go to the library in the town north of me. First off I wasn't going to sit there in the library and argue with this woman exactly what town I lived in, even though my address clearly states which city it is  so I get directions from her to go off to this other library (which by the way isn't in my town and is further away) and I pull up to this little tiny building. I am thinking this must be a joke, but it wasn't. You could probably put all of this library into the bathroom of the other library. I didn't bother getting a library card. I could have gone back to the other library (which is in fact located in the same city as I live, BTW!!!!) and pay a $25 fee for an out of area card! The fee isn't important, I mean $25 isn't that much, but it is the principle of it. I was not happy. I do not think I should have to pay for an out of area card when I live in the same city the library is located in. I live on the cut off street, but I live on the north side, I mean how dumb is that!!!

Yeah, that's pretty dumb. :(

I stopped going to the library when DH and I got married since it was so hard to get there and they only rented books for 2 weeks and the only day in the week I could get there was on Saturday. And even when I could get there, they rarely had the book I wanted.

That's why I'm so happy with this new library. Well, actually it's an old one, but I haven't been able to go there since High School and it has a fantastic selection and is actually open until *9* most nights! :teeth:

I think the stars are just in line the right way or something today... today has been a pretty good day all around it seems. :)
