my son will turn 3 on our next trip to disney(2 weeks from today) we decided a couple months ago that we didnt want to take a newly trained child and because he was showing no interest in it, we would wait to train till we got back.
well, so much for that.
2 days ago he said he had to poop and wanted to poop on the potty. so of course i took him to the bathroom, and to my surprise, he did it!! and has been since.
but he had yet to pee. so i thought it would still not be difficult, as he only poops once a day. it wouldnt be constant trips to toilets.
nope, he declared today he would no longer be needing diapers and has used the potty wonderfully today. he even just woke up about 20 minutes ago and went to the bathroom.
so it looks like we have a potty trained child. aarrghh, best laid plans, right?
so i wonder, has anyone taken a child to disney 2 weeks after they stopped using diapers? how difficult was it?
just to clarify, im thrilled that hes made this step and we have rewarded him...i just would have prefered he wait 3 weeks.

I learned to hold my hand over the sensor so he could use the toilet without it flushing. I have since heard of people covering the sensor with post its.
. I just don't want to risk an accident on the plane. He is dry every morning but I still have him in pull ups and will keep him in them until we return home.
I don't want to go backwards so am going to put him in underwear and brings lots of extra clothes-just in case.
Never has. I would just say that pull up in the parks are a good idea because there is not always a bathroom nearby. I'm sure you DS will do fine!
