I woke up this morning to a huge mess in the kitchen. . .

Seems sometime during the night the refrigerator/freezer conked out and some significant "melting" had occured. . . mopped up, put what I could in ice chests. . .

The unit is over 12 years old so I'm sure it's time for a new one. . . but it's snowing so hard here I can barely see across the street, so there's no way of getting out and getting a new one today. .


Soooo. . I got things melting inside, and can't to anything about it because it's snowing outside. . .

Sigh. . . I'd rather be at the beach. . .

Other then that it's been a lovely morning though!!!

Live the way of the pioneers and put it all outside until you can go get a fridge...or better yet, order one on Sears.com and make them deliver it!

A hint from a girl from Montana, sometimes leaving things outside is better than inside. It wasn't unusual at all there to leave things that needed to stay frozen outside. Pack it up and put it on the porch

I did put some things in the garage. . but I live in a pretty rural neighborhood and a lot of people around here let there dogs run free.. .

If I put anything outside-outside it'd be like ringing the dinner bell . . LOL!!

The first year we lived in Minnesota we left our Thanksgiving turkey on the back deck until it was time to cook it. We didn't have room for it in the freezer. It worked out great.
