If you ever need to rent points again, I recommend using the forum here. I has used a vendor before and found renting them out myself to be just as easy. I rented points out on the forum for the first time just this week. In 24 hours all the points I wanted (nearly 500) to rent were gone.

Agreed on renting out your points yourself, bypassing the middleman, plus you meet great people that share the same love of Disney.

Interesting thought on renting out points myself. I did see the thread for it on here. Could either of you please let me know how this all works. I would think I would just list the number of points amount PP things like that. And then do people interested contact me. Not sure what I would need after that. I had so many questions yesterday trying to get the resveration through it took me most of the day thanks for any advice and tips.

Visit the rental forum here and look at the other postings. I used those as examples on what I would put on my rental threads, and the interested parties would either post in the thread or message you directly. Then I found a template for a contract here which I used to draft a contract, and the renter pays via venmo/paypal or whatever you prefer and you book them the room or transfer the points.

The hardest part was for the renters to feel comfortable renting from you, but you're a veteran here (joined 2001) so it shouldn't be a problem.

I don't have the issue now either since I have several people I've rented to and they have been helpful with referrals if I need them.

In the rent/trade sub forum here, read through the 2nd 3rd and 4th pinned threads. That will give you most/all the information you’ll need to get started.

Also, look through some of the posts, you can get an idea of how it works from there.

People will either pm you directly or put a request for dates resort etc. no one is allowed to put any personal information in the posts. So once you start conversing via pm you would get more details that way.

You are required to have a contract with the renter. I’ve got one that I’ve polished over the last year and a half - I started renting mid 2020. If you’d like to see a copy, just pm me.

Thanks for the great advice on renting the points out myself. I still have about half my points to rent. Thanks Kona boy for your offer to see your contract. However since I’m good with computers how would I pm you. Thanks it’s been really helpful

Replied with pm😁.
Edit: Dznypal, if you are in a browser on this site, take a look in upper right corner. There is a little icon that looks like an envelope. It should show you have a message... If you click it, you can go to the conversations (Disboard calls Personal Messages (PM) conversations).

I, too, have had great service as a renter of points as well as renting my points since we became DVC members. Have been doing this for about 10 years with zero issues!
