  :goodvibes Dude, I was being sardonic, ya know.... :sad2: I don't think he picked up on that... ;)

Paula - Happy Birthday to your Dad!! :bday:

Sorry about Chris' suspension - I know that him hating school so much really is heavy on your heart. :guilty: :hug I wish there was an easy solution for him. I really think a cyber school program would be great for him. I am surprised that RI doesn't have one in place.

Alan - I would think that the water would be freezing in April! Will the rafting companies even be open for business? Although - around here - I know that they do have Spring/Fall trips and they have you wear a wetsuit for the warmth!

Sherry - the 1-3" snowstorm bypassed us and we got enough to spackle the ground this morning. Snow flurries were landing at 4:31 this morning. I know this interesting little tidbit because that's when Gunny woke me up and insisted on a pee break.

Suzanne - good luck at the Dr.'s! Are you planning on leaving your current job?

Thanks!! I had to go to Dictionary.com to look that word up!! :rotfl: No I don't think he got it. Or if he did, he very cleverly ignored you!! I, on the other hand let out a chuckle that brought Ethan running to see what I was laughing at!! hehe

Hi YaYas... how is everyone?

This remodeling stuff is about to do me in. :faint: Nothing is where it's supposed to be! The fridge and range now reside in the family room, my hutch and dining table are in the living room. I've lost track of most of the chairs that used to live here, half the floor is tiled, half is smeared with mortar and just looks really nasty. Sigh. My new dishwasher won't drain and... and... I need a hair cut. :chewy:

Sigh. So annnnnyway....

Ketchup!

Tara, :rotfl: I'm a beta blocker baby too. I've been taking them for years for palpitations. Ran my short little legs off during the last stress test trying to get the heart rate up to 90.

Elaine's doing something and not telling? Must be illegal. Baaaad baby YaYa. ;)

Puppy bills... ack! :scared: I hope all the results come back with good news Lily.

Rafting in April! Eeeeek! Brrrr! We're hoping to do some jet boat stuff in Oregon but that won't be till sometime this summer. We had reservations this last August, but we all came down with the flu that weekend. :(

Either way, I'm amazed to read that you have a $400 butt! Isn't that how much the value of the shorts were going to increase if you bought them?
:rotfl: How do you come up with this stuff!? :rotfl:

Happy Birthday wishes to Paula's Dad!! :wizard: ...and HUGS to you Paula. I'm sorry Chris is unhappy with classes and keeping you on your toes. I wish I had some suggestions or answers for you. Independent Study is sometimes a good alternative. Are there any programs in your area?

Tara, your sig pic is so cute! I have a similar shot with Cam and one of his friends that went with us to WDW this last year.

Height talk. Elaine, so you get the same: "Everybody's taller than you" comments too? Although, I like standing next to you. I think EVEN I am taller than you. LOL!! Okay yeah I know, like by a bagazillion of an inch, big hairy woop huh?

Pearls. I never thought I was all that fond of them until Tom did the choose an oyster thing at the store in Epcot's Japanese pavillion. He wound up with two small pearls and had earrings made for me. I love them! They're so sweet!

Wooo! Congrats on the house selling Liz! You are one busy lady!!

... and fun Ted, Lily and Liz pics!!

Liked your pictures Alan! Uncle Eddy looks like a fun guy!

Okay, I'm nosey. ...and stupid. I can't figure out what job it is that Suzanne is scoping out.

Ah, well the anxiety about driving Pearl is understandable, Elaine. But you're right... it does fade with time. I'm glad to hear that's happening for you now. As for needing four doors... yep, they can come in handy now and then for various reasons. We went from four doors to a mini van before I started scaling back to my little 2 doors. I'm wondering now if it's time to go back to something larger though. He's barely fits in that back seat. LOL!

Hi y'all... ran some errands after I did some little cleaning. It's still cold out... who is holding spring hostage??? I hate cold weather!

Chatty little group this morning ;)

Suzanne, I hope you and Ed have a nice day together (doc inclueded). I will agree with you there too, a lot good does come from the DIS.

Bethie, glad you didn't get any of that yuck stuff we got! The storm really fizzled out though. We got really very little compared to what they thought we would get too!

Happy Birthday to your dad, Paula!!! I hope he has a great day! And here's a hug for ya  Sorry that yesterday didn't go well :(

Nancy, if you find motivation tell me, I'm still lacking here. Though I did get some of my secret stuff at home done
(sorry Kimmie, couldn't resist)

Tara :rotfl:
Nice way to acknowledge twit boy there!!!! And  I am so sorry that the meds for the migraines are also used to lower blood pressure. actually something a doc had suggested for a cosmetic thing for me did the same thing. I looked for a sec and said 90/60 and you want it lower? I skipped it ;)

Yummy brownies!!! Feel free to share those Nancy ;) I heard about the stamps too... they sounds so cute :)

So Sherry, if I come along as a baby sitter, can I get into USF for a discount too? :teeth:

Alan, you might smile at this... I even think my trips are too short/rare enough to take too much time out to go to WDW. I am really itching to go back. I might wind up changing the dates on the Dec trip at the rate this is going :(

Liz, sounds like your orientation will be intersting! Good luck with all that! I'll be excited to hear more at the end of the month from you when you're in my part of hte world ;)

Oh and Tara, take this for what it is worth... you are about as innocent as I am ;)

Pam, you are a wise woman with what you suggested to Alan. I could NOT imagine white water rafting in April! I could barely see it in June! I wouldn't want to go unless it was late summer for sure! Sorry you had to go out at the wee hour. I had to go out at 7 am to take the trash out... that was bad enough for me :p

Kimmiedoodle, I am being a good little Baby Ya Ya I swear! Good luck with the remodeling. It will all be over with soon!
As for cars, I have a long while to figure this out. Though I think I know what I will wind up with. As long as they keep making the CR-V in a manual on the EX trim, I will get one. Though... part of me *gasp* thinks I could give up driving a stick :faint:
Anywho... I love my little car right now though and I really would hate to give up the hatch part of it. I hate auto shows... they always get me thinking :p

Well I need to clean some more and then make lunch... catch y'all later!

Hey look, Kimmie got a little Wookie!

I did call to confirm the rafting is open and it is. Those idiots open on March 1. They provide pants and rain jacket to go over you clothes.

Hmmm...freezing water and rent-a-pants :scratchin
Yeah, maybe not.

But we are still in the info-gathering phase just to see our options anyway.

No motivation yet ;) But I need to get to it anyway. My deadline is looming.

Good luck with the remodel, Kim. I am looking at furniture every where but where it is supposed to be VERY soon :(

Elaine.....go to WDW in Oct ;)
or for the DIS ladies trip....sounds like that could be fun.

We go to USF about every 3rd Disney trip.
I do have an AP this time though, since we went in Feb....and I will be going again in Jan.

Alan,
I know that around here they open up early as well because usually the ice has melted from the winter snow and ice and causes the river to swell and provides some very fast and wicked currents, which makes for an excellent rafting experience.

Thanks for the kinds words everyone...
Sorry to be such a downer lately....... riding the emotional roller coaster here....

Afternoon, all.

Doctor says the vein goes bye bye. So, I have surgery next week and have earned a week off, woohoo! Never a dull moment.

paula, hang in there. It will get better.

Okay, so the TDS thing is frustrating, has been for a while. Personality conflict is the short answer to that. Wanted to leave before Mom got sick, then Mom got sick. Then it was November, and I'd never stick someone in November (as much as I'd want to!) in a retail job.

Don't have the job yet, but I'm seriously considering one of the dinner preparation places. Love the concept, the owners are amazing people and after observing yesterday, I am more 'stoked' about the idea. I'm a restaurant baby, grew up in the biz. It combines stuff I love and with it being a small company, I'd get to use skills I don't right now. (and it would be good to not worry about stuff I said getting twisted around at work  )

Tonight, I go in and do my own session to look at it from the customer's POV. :teeth: This is good, because last night I was thinking I wanted to eat half of what was there, it looked so good!

Bethie, there IS life after TDS, I have many dear friends who are proof of that (aeryn and heathrow are the best examples) :teeth:

Sherry, you'll still have to let me know how it is.

Tara, I always wanted to do the haircut thing, but it would drive me crazy before that point and they've yet to do it!

Kim, just think, one day all the remodeling woes will be but a faint memory.

I'm sorry, I know I've forgotten people. I'll get back to this after a sandwich!

Suzanne

PS, do I take the percoset now or wait until after the session tonight, so I can have some wine? :lmao:

Alan :rotfl:
Reminds me of the Simpsons quote "Ouch! .... I bent my wookie!"

anywho...

No motivation here either. Save cooking for tonight, I got enough done today though.

Nancy, when in Oct are you going? I want alternate dates in my mind honestly. However a group that I know is going in Dec, so my drive is to see them!
Not much for the timing of the ladies trip though. Especially since I would want Luis with me ;)

Pam, I've heard that before too. I still think people are nuts though to go during then. The water is ice cold! I wouldn't be caught in rivers until summer even with canoeing :p

Awww Paula, you are not a downer. I think most of us can relate to how you feel too on some level at least

Suzanne, I vote hold off on the drugs. If anything I would want to be totally "with it" for the presentation :teeth:
Sounds like this one could be a good fit for you though. I hope something good comes your way! and good luck with the surgery too... will it be outpatient?

Tired... bed is callign my name... maybe I'll join my kitties and get a nap.

:rotfl: Why do 13 year olds think they can argue with me?? It's not like I didn't start my morning off by alligator restling my 5 year old into the tub and then holding him there with one arm and showering him like you do the dog with the other arm. Then have to listen to him scream "I hate you mommy" while standing naked in the open bathroom doorway! :rotfl: If I can handle that, this arguing with me over handcream when you are supposed to be reading isn't going to bother me in the least!! Geez kid!! I often wonder if the kids that argue like that get away with it at home!! :lmao:

At least when I spoke to mom this morning she said he had calmed down and was having a better morning than when I left. Haven't checked in on the after school part so I don't know how his school day went. If he had a good day he will fill up his behavior chart and has earned a happy meal for dinner tonight. If he didn't....well, there's always ALPO!!!! J/K!! :smooth:

Elaine...take a nap for me. I'm getting tired this afternoon and I still have tutoring to do tonight!! woohoo!!

Pam...your hugs were never answered and now they have gone poof! Methinks that he is gone too!!

Alan...rafting in spring water sounds a bit cold...even in rent-a-pants!!

Paula...feel free to fret with us. you have to have some place to go when you are down! With any luck at all one of us will say something really stupid that will make you forget what your problems are!! (Chris wasn't standing at the top of the stairs without any clothes screaming that he wanted cookies this morning was he? :teeth: )

oops gotta work for a minute

Tara, sorry about the day. I have no idea why kids argue like that! Sadly a few friends who are teachers say that it is normal. That they have to repremand the kids for yelling at their parents... the parents just take it and the kids just dish is out  They say they know htere is now way that the parents do it at home... kind of sad actually :(

Wish I could've taken a nap for you... I tried to lay down and hte phone rang. And the next thing you know I haven't had a chance to nap... oh well.

My cat is being a brat. I was making my pasta (Luis' favorite) and Cleo keeps "storming" into the kitchen. She looks at her empty dish that holds the wet food, looks at me, looks at the empty dish... totally ignoring the dry food that is there... looking at me and yelling at me. Squack... "what do you want Cle?" SQUACK!!!!!!!! "No!" Squack!!!! Luis just says to her "We don't like porkers in the house,, so you aren't getting any" She still yells

I have a cat for anyone who wants her ;)

Oct. 23.

I got motivated :teeth: Almost finished the kitchen today....so tomorrow will finish spring cleaning :bounce: :woohoo:
And then the painting starts :(

But....I did just book air to CA :teeth: :yay:

Yay for booking air, Nancy! :bounce:

Elaine, my crazy cat got all freaked out by something outside (probably another cat...she HATES other cats!). When I went to look out the window and see what it was, she smacked me in the face. :earseek: :teeth:

Suzanne, sorry to hear you'll need surgery. :( I'll be sure to let ya know how we like Universal. :)

:rotfl: I think I am planning too many trips at once.

Sorry, I forgot to say that I hope the surgery goes well Suzanne.
The job prospect sounds like a lot of fun. I have watched some specials on them.
We have a few around here.....I'm sure there are more where there are more people ;)

:sad1:

Well, crap, Elaine..... Does that mean I have to cancel our Extreme Deliverance Whitewater Rafting Excursion for April 1st?? If I do, then I am booking us a Bayou Alligator Airboat Tour!

Yay to Motivational Nancy! :cheer2:

 Suzanne. That stinks about the surgery...... :guilty:

And another  to Paula....

okay gang here is my latest Jarrod story  :teeth:

Suzanne...sorry about the leg. Take it easy until then!!

Elaine...oh well, don't worry about the nap, I survived!! Yeah kids are really a mess these days and parents aren't doing much in the way to help them!

Nancy...oh boy planning all kinds of trips. Me too...to the funny farm, to the looney bin, to the insane asylum, and a couple of other places!!! hehehehe

Sherry...cats do seem to be tempermental! I think I'll stick to kids! hehehe I'll take a review of US too, don't think I'll get around to doing it unless i get really sick of wdw!!

Pam... :( I was sad too to see it gone. I had to really work the rest of the afternoon :(

Got an email from Jarrod's teacher today this is what it said,
I just wanted to update you on Jarrod this week. He has not been himself - at least the Jarrod we usually see. Although he has not crossed the line to move his bee - he has mainly "bothered himself", if that makes sense. He seems very high strung and fidgety - not able to focus even with many "redirects". His restlessness usually does not keep him from working or participating but the last few days it is almost like he can't calm down for any length of time. I know you said he was having trouble at home and I am not seeing the oppositional behavior, just very odd behavior (even for him).
Even his odd behavior is even more odd these days!! hehehehe :rotfl:

Have a great evening all!!
