Quick hello and goodnight!

I think I pulled something in my back! Took a muscle relaxer and am getting loopy....think it is time to call it a nights and snuggle with the heating pad......

I will check back tomorrow....more fun planned...the refrig fixer guy should be here between 8 and noon...hairs done at 1 and then I have to go and get my TB test read....methinks I will pass..everything looks good....no little red spots or anything!! Whew!!

Evening all.

I'm flying on Percocet air right now, crusing at 20000 feet. Wheeeeeeeeee.

The session tonight was lots of fun. I took a friend along, and I can see why lots of people choose to do that. More fun. After being there for 5 hours last night, I had the 'lay of the land' down, so I was able to say 'capra chicken is free' and jet over to it when we were done.

We split a 12 entree session and I'm so looking forward to eating some of these NOW! The bright side is that when I'm resting after surgery, we've got stuff in the freezer ready to go. Next month's menu has 12 things Ed and I want for ourselves, so he'll go with me.

Lainey, learned the lesson with the first dog:don't give them both, cuz they'll always complain about the dry stuff. Then my vet gave me grief with Bear that I hadn't been feeding him table scraps!

Tara, lol at your little man. What did he think would happen?

Nancy, these places seem to be popping up all over the place. The DIS is where I'd first heard about them

Back to work tomorrow. I told Ed today that I probably would have enough to occupy me to stay home. Never did get to the spring cleaning list, though. He said he needs to be the stay at home, because he has no life and would get cleaning done! Yikes!

Morning y'all! Don't you hate it when you dream you've missed something and then wake up with a start? I did that at 4:30 or so this morning. I dreamt I slept in and I shouldn't have so I woke up. Didn't sleep as well after that

Thanks for the dates Nancy. I'll keep those in mind if I have to change. But only being a month earlier than currently planned, I doubt I'd make that. Some day I do want to go during Oct though.

Well Pam, I'm sorry. I thought I told you that weekend was booked up. Actually we could do it the week after Easter... maybe... though I am kind of busy... looks like I can't make it until warmer weather So when is the Bayou tour? I'm all for that

It's funny though, my SIL thinks the opposite. She'd rather stick to cats than kids. I think both have highs and lows

Suzanne, enjoy that little trip there? Glad you had a good night and food! Now I think I have a clue where you are talking about, but I haven't looked into it for locally.
As for the cat food... I actually kind of have to do it that way now. She needs fattier food and she also needs the wet food since it is easier to digest. Otherwise we could wind up with gall bladder trouble again. So.... she gets both. She can't have wet only since it would make her too fat Fun balance, and trust me, if it weren't the food, she'd whine about something else

Sherry, I agree with you on that... that's why I got my laptop out and crawled right back in bed!

I give the kitties wet mixed with dry when they get the wet, which is morning and night....then they have dry the rest of the time. They have become even pickier about which wet they like now

Hi all.....nothing like a dose of mom-guilt to give me a jump start.....
Chris called me from school yesterday - says he does not feel good - can I dismiss him ? I ask did you go to the nurse - I went to the nurses office but she is not in our school today - I say (thinking he just wants to come home - gotta do some tough love here ) - no - you have to stay in school.....he somes home at 2:30 - says hi and goes right to bed.....wakes up at 6:30 and can't stop coughing - I take his temp - 102!!!! (very high for him - he is normally about 95) - give him koolaid and mortin - he says he wants to go to the doctor - Jeffrey brings him to Urgent Care - he has an upper respiratory infection!! They gave him 500mg ibuprofen. He's sleeping now - temp is still 101.5.

And if that wasn't enough - seems as though I have exited off 1 hormonal roller coaster and gotten on another.....lets just say that a "special friend" (as my mom called it) had not been around for 3 months and has returned.....surprisingly I actually feel like a somewhat normal person again.....

Suzanne - so sorry to hear that surgery is in order...I hope the healing is quick. I am still in the dark on your new endeavor but totally intrigued!!

Tara....what can I say but thanks for the smile......once got a call from school "chris has put an M&M up his nose...."

Elaine - love the kitty story - even Casey panics when her food dish is empty - she kick at it and I keep telling her she only gets fed once a day.....

Paula, I would feel horrible too! But we have done that exact same sort of thing when we assumed our kids were wanting attention or to get out of something and did not realize until later they really were sick.

I think all parents do that at one time or another so don't kick yourself too hard.



Otherwise, there is just too much sickness going on around here.

Dr. Feelgood is prescribing happy pills for everyone.

Where did all the mothy Y'all-Y'alls go?

Our cat has begun a 4:30AM daily ritual of walking across our heads to my nightstand where he would attempt to knock something off if I weren't picking him up, escorting him into the hallway and closing our door.

As far as food goes, all of our animals eat dry.

Well, I suppose by the time the fish eats his it may be damp at least.

Been actually working today. yuck!!

Jar has a counseling appt. this afternoon and then we are going out to dinner (PTA night at Max and Erma's so we GOTTA support the PTA!! )

oh my!!! You know its gonna be a bad day when....

back from counseling (he told me to ignore Alan because he's sent back M&M's with W's on them too. So there )

We went out to dinner. It was yummy!! I got loaded cheese fries and a bowl of tortilla soup. The jalapenos were really HOT so the girl brought me some sour cream to put in the soup and it was really good!! I also ordered a chicken salad but by the time I finsihed the soup I was stuffed. So I have a full lunch for tomorrow!! It was a nice evening.

The counselor is wondering if Jar is suffering from bi-polar disorder. So we have to talk to his neuro-developmental specialist next week and see what kind of doc we should see next. i'm going to spend my entire summer going to doctor's appts!!!

Have a good evning gang and stay out of trouble!!
