Elaine, you're showing up as "not at my desk" on my Yahoo IM.

Tara, you've probably said this already, but my long term memory extends out to about 3 minutes, so I've forgotten already... have you been to the dr. with the headaches yet? I do hope you find some relief soon. I've been there, done that and it is NOT fun. :(

Suzanne, thinking good thoughts for that dr. appt. on Monday. Hopefully he'll have some solutions for you that don't involve becoming completely immobile for a week.

Beautiful beaches and opening Dairy Queens!! Life is good! :sunny:

Lily, you okay? More dr. visits isn't good. :( I'm so sorry work is bumpy right now.

Hee. Chris is confusing his mom. :p

Kippy pics? Oooh! Saw a good one yesterday. Sent away for an Olympic catalog thingy. Nice picture of Kip in there! Clothes and everything this time.

Okay I know these are wild, but something about them appeals to me. What'cha think:

I  my store manager!!! She was so happy with all we got done yesterday, I have today OFF!!!! Sad part is, the builder, the HVAC man, AND the plumber are all here today.

We have no heat, no water and I've had no shower, so I'm hiding. Dave managed to get his shower and make coffee for me before they got here, thank goodness. At least now they've admitted that things are not right! Before they turned the water off, the hot water at the kitchen sink measured 155º and the hot water heater was set at mid-range (it doesn't have temp. markings, just Hot and Hotter!! LOL) Dave was able to show them the coils in the furnace that weren't heating, just can't figure out why the repair guys didn't notice that before. :confused3 Heaven only knows when things will be back "online", but it better be soon! I need to use the potty!!!!!

Too much stuff to ketchup on, but I've read it all. Commiserating with those of you having computer issues, health issues, work issues, family issues, school issues, or whatever issues and sending lots of prayers and PD your way.

Need to run over to Staples and fax this last return to the CPA office. Oye, why the clients can't get their info together in a timely manner still escapes me! Then they call and want to know why we wait till the last minute to send them their returns to be filed!! :headache:

Will try and check back in with ya'll later. :grouphug: (Might have to turn on the stove to thaw my fingers in order to post, though!)

You are showing up as "not at my desk" on Yahoo to me too Elaine.

**** I'm always on Yahoo - esp. at night - if anyone ever wants to chat....give me a break from work (oopps - did I say that out loud?)

Anyway feel free to shoot me an IM and I'll give you both my yahoo and Aim screen names.

Pam....I am so not touching that comment.....

**** love the dishes!!!!!!

I colored my hair and cut my bangs (ok - chopped my bangs is more like it) - liken it!!!

Quick hi...

thanks Kim & Paula! My Yahoo isn't showing up at all for me now. It looks like it is not even loaded

Pssstt... I was trying my traditional day of fast ;) The DQ was bad enough but fried chicken... yummmmmmmmmmm

No comment on beaver :rolleyes1

Tara, I am so sorry about your headache! YOu want us to cheeto Jack for ya?

Lily  Hope things get better at work soon!

Kimmie, I actually think those plates are fun! Totally the opposite of what I have, but I like them!

Bethie, so sorry your day off is being spent like that. I hope they get it fixed soon! HOpe you could also go potty while out ;)

Paula, we need pics ::yes::

Off to look into Trillian. Yahoo is killing me!

Kimmie, you don't want my opinion on decorating...do those come in paper? :lmao:

Tara, glad you were able to get some relief at work to go home and lie down. Feel better.

Paula, braver thanme. I would never be able to cut my hairs.

Bethie, so glad you got a day off, but oh my on no spa to enjoy it in. Hope that is resolved by now.

I'm fine, but not happy just yet. Working it through.

OK - I don't photograph very well but here ya go....

Well -- I do know that you've brought it to the attention of 70,000 DISers attention! And, since I posted in complete innocence - I had better not be the one to be banned!

And I meant the mammal.

I'd caption this one, "If it doesn't go in the little thingy after 8 or 10 tries, I grab my ball and run to the next hole"

I'd say that was a very appropriate caption for that photo ::yes::

And what's all this talk of eating beaver? You folks need to watch your tounges, you cunning linguists!

But actually, I did like a lot of the food products on that list!

Okay, those were the things that I had to comment on :) now for the real post:

Mrs. AA's grandmother fell in the mall yesterday. She has Parkinson's and her legs just gave out on her. She was carried by ambulance to the ER where they discovered she has broken her shoulder, humerous, and jaw.

They did send her home last night but she saw the orthopedist today. They did not put her arm in a cast, but have it very much wrapped up and in a sling and want to see her again in two weeks. She sees the ENT later.

Her spirits are good, but she has a long list of health problems. She and Rebecca's mother live nearby. MIL works 2nd shift as a nurse, so Rebecca will probably start going over to sit with her grandmother during the afternoons and evenings.

Kimmie, I looked at those plates more. I really love the salad plates that go with them. I"m only not so keen on teh rooster, but the sunflowers (I think that's what they are) really are growing on me!

Lily, I hope you find that happy place soon! :)

Paula, I noticed the sweatshirt as well as the limish green turtle neck beneath. Very cute cut! I like it and the earrings you have on are really neat looking too!

Pam is innocent? :duck:

We all know Alan isn't
Prayers for your family, though Alan. Not just for Mrs. AA's grandma, her mom and hersefl, but for the whole family...
they have to live with you after all!

Afternoon, all.

We tried another little mom and pop for breakfast. It was pretty good. I hate eggs, but it's cheaper to buy a 2 egg meal than to buy the sides w/o them. Ed asks when I'm almost done "are you going to eat those eggs?", then realizes NO, I hate eggs! :rotfl: Too funny!

Went down to the butcher, too and got some yummies for dinner. Then I had a couple of appointments to attend to :cool1: and back home I am.

Pammy, they can eat all the beaver they want, I just want the beaver tails! How was your DQ?

Alan, !!! Hope Mrs.AA's mother mends quick. My MIL was in a sling for about 6 weeks from her fractured humerus and clavicle.

Kimmy, the dishes are cute, I'll let you buy them all, okay? These are mine.
29006_P.jpg

I don't have the drainer, that's what a dishwasher is for!

Paula, I like the cut! Very nice.

Lainey, I went to trillian because the only AIM I could find to reload was Triton. Then, of course, Ed found a website that has previous versions of all the freeware programs. If you wanted to launch AOL 1.0, they had it.

Bethie, eek on cold showers!

Gotta get going on dinner. I sorta promised SIL I'd bring their stuff from the butcher over there tonight. Can't do it in the morning, have to head over into Tampa before work.

I don't normally get this personal, but perhaps you should scrub a littler harder when you shower.

Hey gang,

I came home and slept for the afternoon. I called out to work for tomorrow.

Kimmie...I used to take a mediciine everyday to keep them away so i only had them once or twice a month. But they raised the price on them and so I quit taking them. I was only having headaches the same...once or twice a month but they were usually a little worse than before. But the last month or so has been really bad with stress making things worse. I don't feel stressed today or depressed but it sure is knocking me for a loop. If it doesn't go away by tomorrow i will call the doc. I'm planning on sleeping the day away tomorrow and seeing if that helps.

Elaine...no thanks on the cheetoes...i don't look good in orange!!

Pam and Kimmar...play nice young ladies!

Alan...you are bad!

Paula...cute do

Suzanne...good luck with the doc!!

Beth...hope they get your pipes working again! yowsers!!

Lily...good luck with your doctor's appts to!!

Okay, I think I'm done. Good night gang!!

tara

Would anyone like 4 boys? They are free to a good home. :teeth: :rolleyes1

Paula, nice cut. :)

Most of that food sounds yummy to me! I'm stressed and want to eat anything and everything.

Lily, Hope things look up for you soon.

Kimmie, I like the plates. I think they are cute. :)

Suzanne, I hate Triton. :rolleyes1 I need to put Trillian on my new laptop. I really like it.

Tara, hope your headache goes away soon and stays away.

Pam, our closest DQ closes for the winter, too. :rolleyes1 They reopened last month, though. We do have a few that stay open.

Alan, prayers for Mrs. AA's grandma.

 for you Sherry. I hope the stressy stuff gets better soon!

I'd say that was a very appropriate caption for that photo...
And what's all this talk of eating beaver? You folks need to watch your tounges, you cunning linguists!
:rotfl: .... :rotfl: Elaine, your cabana guy is out of control!

Beth needs to potty! Paula your hair is very cute!!! I love the color! Tara, I hope you get thee to a doc soon if Jack doesn't take a hike. No fun living with that guy.

Suzanne, your dishes are perfect!! I love those!

Elaine, they're the exact opposite from what I would've normally chosen too. Not sure what got into me, but the more I look at them, the more I like them. :p I ordered one set of 16. If I like them I'll order one more. Also ordered the pasta bowl and the large oval platter. I think I've lost my mind.

Paula, if you want a Yahoo chat partner lemme know... I'll send you my screen name. :)

Thinking some good strong positive thoughts for you Lily. I hope it all gets worked out soon.

Oh gosh, and big prayers for Mrs. AA's grandmother too! Bless her heart!

*sigh*
Look who's talking... a man from Alabama??? Now I've seen it all!!!

Back from church... tired and dealing with the beginnings of spring allergies. Oh joy! So I took my normal claritin which helps and then a benadryl for the cats at night. I think that might work for a while :)

Suzanne, I do love your plates!! And I now am using Trillian for ICQ, AIM & Yahoo. MSN is still running solo. I will have to load it on my laptop tomorrow I think. Two is better than four!

Awww... I think orange would be great for you Tara! Actually I was thinking how nice it would be to be cheeto'd... instant snack for you ;)
I hope your headache goes away soon though!

Sorry Sherry, they'd have to share rooms here. Guess I can't take them :p I hope it calms down soon though

Okay, which cabana boy are we talking about Kimmie? Antonio is a bit quiet lately, and Orli scares me since he now has an American accent :scared: And then there's the sorta third one... Alan

As for the plates, kind of like what I did when I picked mine last year!
40008.jpg

(in case of red X http://www.tableandhome.com/prodimages/40008.jpg) And we got the square plates in two sizes too!!!
http://www.tableandhome.com/prodimages/40011.jpg

That is just so NOT me, but I loved them, so we bought the whole set. I wound up with place settings for 8 but when you add in the 8 tulip plates and the 8 small and 8 large square, we have plates for (she does the math... 8 small, 8 large, 8 tulip, 16 square)... well lots of people :p
It became an addiction. So now I have all plate sizes (only don't have a dual color which I don't care for) saucers, bowls & mugs... I love it though

Okay I've rambled enough... I'm off to bed. 'Nite all!

That's OK, Elaine, they share rooms here, too. :teeth: Nice plates. :)

Suzanne, your plates are too cute. :)

I put all the boys to bed at 8, so I now have a nice, quiet house. *sigh*

....ouchies!! :headache: ...so sorry to hear this...hope she is on the mend really soon....I just got back from yet ANOTHER funeral/wake....a friend's great aunt fell last week (91 years old)when she lost her footing, and cracked her head open, near her temple....long story short, there were complications and she passed on Tuesday evening....this is so ridiculous...went to ANOTHER wake this afternoon; one of our school secretary's M-in-L had a heart attack...died at age 99 - God Bless her...I can't take too many more of these funerals......

Rise and Shine everyone!!!!

Yeah I know it's early... shut it woman, right? ;)

Actually Sherry if they'll do labor, I could use them around the house wtih the basement! just send them down here for a while ;) Glad you wound up with a quiet night though!

Wow, 99 is amazing!!! I know that the older they are here, the more of a celebration their wake/funeral becomes! Must be the Irish in me though :p

Clenaing and practice on for me today. I feel like kniting some too so I'll probably do that more than I should :teeth:

I hope y'all have a great day!
