It appears we will not be cruising or Disney-ing this year, but we may go to Myrtle Beach for a bit this Spring and it would still be just we two.

A church Mrs. AA has sang at before has invited her to come back and we both feel like it is "right" to go back. So we will just take some extra days and see a show or two.

Y'all really don't wanna know how long of a "weekend" I get now do you Seriously I do take weekends off just like I used to... once in a while I do work on a weekend, but that was kind of something unspoken... we use the weekends for us.

Alan, I just hope you guys have a wonderful time away no matter where you go

Tara, I hope Jarrod enjoys the weekend with his dad! I am glad that the timing of it worked out great for y'all too!

Not much going on here today... kind fo boring. Depending on how things are tomorrow, I have a Third Day concert to go to. Hopefully weather, attitudes and other such stuff don't get int he way. It's over an hour drive so if it doesn't work out, I won't even attempt.

We have "President's Week/Winter break". Our next one-week stretch is after Easter - last last full week of April.
It's kinda good that we have next week off -the wake is all day (2-4 and 7-9) Monday and the funeral is on Tuesday morning....

Wow - I'm the first one to say good morning....

Got woken at 7am - call from work - phones not working...not really much I coule do but to see if mine were doing the same thing....which they were - we paged out IT guy - he never responded - the system has seemed to fix itself.....go figure....

So the coffee is brewing and I'm ready to greet the day.

Yesterday was a long day.....drove Alyssa to CT - stopped at the market - she was attempting to make him shrimp, fettuccini alfredo and sheesecake - can't wait to hear how that turns out....she is a pretty good cook. She ws going to stay there till Monday till she heard that Jeffrey and I are going out for chinese tonite - so they may come home for that. Hd Chris counselors last night - it was really interesting - we talked alot about how at Chris age he wants all the freedoms - etc and he feels like we are holding him back. I'm finally realizing how hard it is to let go.

Kimmar - my toughts and prayers continue to be with you - the kids nd families.
Tara - hope both you and Jarrod have a good weekend..seperately - hehe.
Elaine - hope things go well to day for the concert.

OK......the story you have been waiting for,.......the Powder story.....
My husband is a powder freak....yes - powder!! We have 2 full bathrooms in our house - the shower in our downstairs bathroom is not working so we always use the upstairs - I feel like the bathroom is the reverse Pig-pen effect - instead of a cloud of dust there is a cloud of powder....So - I have 2 brother in laws that are designers for John and Johnson (see where I am going here??) ......seems as thought they have a Company Store where they can buy J&J products at a discount - my husband often gives his brother $$ and a shopping list - well we came home the other night with a huge box....you guess it - 12 yes I said 12.....Shower to Shower powders...Who uses that much powder????? I could not stop laughing.......

Sending hubby grovery shopping today - cleaning - and going out for Chinese tonite.....have a good day everyone - I'll check in later.....

Kimmar, just curious, do y'all have a fall break as well? And when does school begin and end? I was shocked when I found out a lot of what NJ and hte rest of the east coast does with school. We don't have fall break or a week off in Feb. I think the parents would shoot the school if they did that in Feb too since it was so close to Christmas

Yummm... chinese sounds good! Though I did just make fried rice and teriyaki steak on Thursday. I can only imagine how hard it is to begin to let go of kids though. Glad the counceling went well!

Not sure what we are up to today. If things go well, I will make the trip to the concert. I need to check the weather for that too. Last thing I want is to be stuck in snow or something in a town out in the middle of BFE with no where to stay

I meant to post last night and say hey, but I went to bed at 8:30 . The week's schedule did me in.

We have cable. I'm cringing right now, because Kevin is watching Spongbob. Yuck! Ed was really happy last night, he got to watch the IROC and Truck races from Daytona. I think the installer thought I was nuts, he could install up to three leads and I only wanted one!

SIL is out of the hospital, with another diagnosis-COPD. The fun never stops!

Off today, probably going to head to the fair after Ed gets home. We tried to last night, but we dealt with a meltdown when we picked up the kids at daycare.

Thought I was going to be off tomorrow, but working instead. Gotta make sure there are snacks for the Race, lol. Others get hyped for the Super Bowl, my man is not one of them.

Lainey, hope you get to that concert.
Paula, glad the counselling session went well. Sounds like Alyssa has learned to get to a man's heart through his stomach!
Nancy, any luck finding your kitty?

Just found out my uncle died yesterday
He was the one that had heart surgery in Oct. Never made it out of the hospital much since then. Glad he is at peace and painfree now.

Nope...no kitty And it was really cold last night. If he could he would have come in, so not much hope. I still can't remove his things yet.

Elaine....hope you get to make the concert.
Suzanne...hope you make the fair.

We're picking up Christin tomorrow for a movie and dinner. Haven't seen her since before we left for vacation.

Nancy, I'm so sorry your kitty is still missing!! We thought we lost ours earlier this week. I had to leave the kitchen workmen here alone for a couple of hours. I locked our kitty (inside only kitty) in a special little enclosed area in our garage knowing full well they had NO REASON to go in there. Well, they did anyway. Kitty dashed and of course they didn't pay any attention to her. After hours of searching, Cam and I found her in the crawl space under the house. It dawned on me they'd had the trap door open while doing some work under there. Turned out, both the inside AND outside kitty were under there.

Nancy... my condolences to you and the family.

Kimmar, I wish I knew what to say! So many heartbreaking tragedies. My prayers are with you all.

Dave is being published Nancy!? How fun!! What sort.... newspaper, magazine?

Buster's ears are too cute!!

Ah, Pammy!! Our guys had some rough days in the beginning didn't they? I felt so bad for Kip. He was having a terrible time with false starts in one of the races I saw. Stinking adrenaline!!

He had a tip publised last month. Too bad these don't pay like the eningeering articles he writes

How is the kitchen coming along?
I hope if we have any money left that we can start some work around here when Dave returns from his buisness trip in March.

Taxes are done Mostly.....couple of questions Dave needs to ask the accountant at work. That stupid buy-out is causing us problems

Heard from my tax lady...I'm getting money back, not as much as i had hope for, but it will help quite a bit!! Gotta get some stuff paid off. No big purchases with it, just the usual credit card pay off!

oh boy, now i'm ticked. I just went to check out my credit card balances and found out that at least one of my cards has fradulant charges on it. Did any of Florida people recently stole my credit card number and ran up credit card?? 3 Charges have been made in Fort Lauderdale and Deersomething beach. I'm so mad right now I could explode liek that little emoticon!!

I'm headed now to run my credit and see if there are any other charges out there that don't belong to me.

Tara feel better soon! And very sorrya bout the CC charges! I've heard several people who've been in various parts of FL say that's happened. A group of ladies I knit with even had that happen to them. One was Orlando area (not WDW), another Tampa, and the last in Jacksonville. They must be preying on the tourists

I had a good day yesterday in general. The drive home in snow at midnight wasn't fun The concert was great though... both the opening band and Third Day were great with the crowd Cold as all get out though and we had to wait outside until they opened hte doors for the concert Not fun to do when it is about 0° out
