Been spending way too much time this afternoon trying to figure out something with the hair. Long, wavy, silky & thick really don't work well. I'd rather have my sister's hair for when it comes to putting it up. I think I figured something out though, but I need to find some metalic thread to wrap around part of the hair. More or less doing a ponytail that is held together by elastics... then going to wrap dk silver (if I can find it) thread/ribbon into my hair so that it covers the elastics mostly... then wind it up in a bun. 50,000 hairpins later and it should stay

Tara, you're working too hard!!! And htanks! I still think I liked the ohter dress better, but Luis' opinion wins out!

Oh Nancy, with DVC, I do ressies totally different now. There isn't much thought that goes into booking. I already knew the dates we wanted to go. And when they are out of rooms, they are out of rooms... I think though if it involved money, I'd not do it the way I do. I won't even touch that trip for months on end now!

Don't you guys have to pay a deposit when you book? That's what I was meaning about money!

Oh and I've had these dates since... oh... December 2004 I think I always book this one 11 months in advacne, though right now it's only 10... I was a bit behind due to the Feb trip

Not that OKW fills up that time of year, but I would be heart broken if I couldn't get the 1 bedroom now.

I think when I get back I will book the next 2 trips
And then it will be Disney break time and off to experience some other things in the world

LOL, Nancy, anything over $50 gets me when I spend money. I always had a much harder time making ressies than I did with DVC. The whole point thing works easier for me.

I'm getting tired. I woke up way too early and now I want to crawl into bed. So....

Thanks Nancy! (even though she's gone) I plan to have fun on Saturday for my birthday.

Now I just have lots to do between now and then!

Hopefully Nancy is having a safe trip and will be close to arriving. I've done one red eye in my life and wow, was it something else to do! Though sometimes leaving on a really early flight feels just about as good

Morning!

Went out to dinner and then when we got home, I decided to go to bed. At 9:15. It felt good!!!

Microwave fried on Christmas, and we thought we were going to have to take it down and bring it in for service. Sharp's website kinda gave that impression. I finally called the authorized service location and the guy is coming out at 10. Need to go clean up that kitchen a little better before he comes! Part of the reason to go out last night was to have less to clean today! (yes, I hate white stoves!)

Good morning, Ya Ya family! Looks pretty gloomy here today, but at least the fog is gone. Wow, the other day, I was the 3rd car in line at a light and couldn't even see the light, it was so thick! Scary driving in that stuff.

Hope your head is feeling better this morning, Tina. Migraines are such nasty things!! How's your DD doing in school this year?

Hey, Karen! I read in your trip report that your birthday morning greeted you with a migraine, too! Not a nice way to start your day, for sure. So glad you were able to kick it so quickly and enjoy the rest of your day. Scotty is such a doll and EE sounds really great!!

Hoping Nancy and her DH had an easy flight and are safely tucked in their bed at WDW. That time change from west to east is just the pits! Have a great visit with the Mouse!!

Laine, when I spoke of your dress being daring, I had assumed the "church thing" it was for was being held IN church. The open back on the dress would probably offend some of the older, more conservative crowd I've known if it were IN church. But, I love it and think you look positively gorgeous in it!

Gotta head off to work now--getting ready for inventory again in 3 weeks and there's sooooo much to do! Hope ya'll have a wonderful day!!

Suzanne, good luck with the microwave! Oh and I can understand the white stove thing, but I'd take that over stainless any day (and black doesn't look good in all kitchens *sigh*) I actually need to clean mine too (hopefully before I leave)

Bethie, be careful in that weather!!! I don't think we had that kidn of stuff, but it's always yucky to drive in!
And I totally agree... if it were IN the church, I would probably think twice about that dress. I don't like baring my upper arms in church. Even a sheer sleeve is okay to me, but straight skin I have issues with.
Luis is forever making me try things I normally wouldn't though. I swear some of the "cuter" stuff I own is because of him.

I should get back to packing... yuck

tried to talk to Chris yesterday abotu not smoking - did no good - he of course is thinking like a teen - I'm not going to do this my whole life - I can stop - etc - I am thinking like a non smoker - had jeffrey talk to him about it too.....finally ended with "if you are going to smoke then no smoking in the house or on the deck"...not my opinion of course.....and.....he quit his job yesterday .....seems he heard from a supervisor that since he had the least amout of hours he was getting fired next week - so he just quit - says he has a job lined up already - dishwasher......PD for me to get thru this of you have any.......

I'm off to bake cookies.....

Never did find Tink... decided to pack Pooh! All packed though, so at least that is out of the way
