Morning all, I was about to ask where people were this morning... then I saw the time :p I am usually not up this early posting :p

Bethie, glad you were able to get back online after losing your computer to him. Why would someone visit if all they do is work though?

As for Bubba... Bubba makes some ground beef. Alan also has a cat named Bubba. Alf ate cats... sooo... meanie to animals Alan implied that Bubba ground beef was actually his cat Bubba and Alf was happy.
Meanie!

Glad to hear that the doc went well though!

Karen, glad it seems to be helping!

I am so tired today... just didn't sleep well last night (no real reason) maybe I'll get lucky and fall back asleep soon ::yes::

Good Morning!

Oldest DS doesn't have school today. There were some problems with the fire alarm system. He's happy, the other 3 are not so happy. :teeth:

Beth, glad the doctor visit went well.

Suzanne, sorry to hear about your laptop. I feel your pain. Mine got fried over the summer. :(

Amanda, sorry to hear about the problems with your SIL.

JRKaren, have fun at the World.

I missed SSB....rare sighting :earseek:

As for SIL...it is Todd's SIL. I deal with my issues on my own. I don't have him stand up for me. He backs me and that is all I need. She hasn't called, but did call my MIL and complain again. Doesn't help that I told her to deal with me not MIL. UGH! I don't think she realizes who she is messing with. :smooth:

Beth...stand back from the chocolate. I am proud of you for your 8lb loss. Keep it up. See if you can make the chocolate last a year :rotfl2: Great on the Dr. visit.

Karen...glad the machine is helping.

Take Care.....

Peekaboo. :wave2:

It's good to see Ya Yas are still goin' strong. Miss you guys. :grouphug:

Caroline, long time no see!!! How are things with you??

Sherry, I hope you enjoy the day with him! I bet the others are pretty ticked off... I hated it when I had to go to school and a sibling didn't.

Amanda, I deal with my own issues, but I only meant that if she isn't your blood, then I wouldn't have much to do with her in the future for anything. After this issue is dealt with, I'd just halfway ignore her and if she wants to do anything with the family as a whole, I would have pushed her to Todd. I guess if I had better in-laws I would probably want to treat them better, and not pretty much ignore them. I wasted a lot of my energy on them. I think that all made sense... at least to me it did ;) Honestly though, since she isn't blood to either of you, I probably would just halfway ignore her in general. Not worth wasting time or energy on someone so spiteful. If she "doesn't like you" then fine... she doesn't. As long as your family doesn't miss out on spending time with blood family, I probably wouldn't care at all.
Of course if I were your MIL, I would also be ticked off. I so hate being brought into the middle of ti all! I'd probably be telling off the SIL saying I don't even want to hear it again, and to take it to you personally. I think your SIL is a bit immature to act like that. Good luck though... she sounds like a real winner to have in the family

I wish I had an exciting life to share. I am about to work on the afghan I started though. I have a feeling this is going to take me forever

Elaine...i'm so glad you explained the cat/alf/bubba thing! I thought I was the only one that didn't get it!! but now its pretty darn funny!

As for knitting...jarrod bought his dad a pair of gloves for christmas...the only problem was that they turned out to be women's gloves and were way too small for him (my mistake...Jar picked them out and I saw the large and thought that was good! ) So what he said he really wanted was a nice warm scarf for chicago. And he was hoping that mom would make him one. So my mom is working on a scarf for him...I told her she liked him better than me so she had to do it!! hehehehe no that's not true...I jsut said I "ain't doing it". When friends are preggers and I have the time I usually make them baby blankets. I made quite a few there for a while!!

Elaine...my life is not exciting either!!
Beth...sorry you were without a puter for a few days. And yes a IV+ does sound a bit dangerous...but apparently they relive that stress on saturday night with the drinks around the camp fire :drinking1 . I'm going to email a guy today and see what time he is leaving on that friday.
Caroline....welcome back!! :welcome: hope school is going well for you!!
Karen....glad it isn't exactly torture!! and please be ladylike around us :teeth:
SSB...good to see you around. Glad the back is doing well.
Amanda...good luck with the family...sometimes I wish we had more family around here and then other times I'm really grateful that we don't!!
Sherry...I bet the others are peeved that the one gets to stay home! Is Junior enjoying being back to work?

Now for the important stuff....we have had one yaya return to the fold...we must find the others...so
If you have seen the following YaYas recently, guilt them into returning to the fold....Pam...hurry before its deadline time again.Kristy...we want to know if any progress has been made on your "creations"Kimmie...stop by before the Olympics...we need to harass you some moreTodd...we miss your picture stories

Who have did miss???

OOPS. Kid needs me...back later.

Good morning.

Great news on the check up, Beth ::yes::
I'm sure Dave will get his share of the See's ;)
We have a 2 pound box in the cupboard that has been there for almost 14 months! I know if I open it, I am doomed  Taking it to Las Vegas with us next month and letting the kids at it.

Not a fan of Alf.....not much into sitcoms either....except I Love Lucy. She was the best and did it all. I'm on season 3 now and having such a great time with it.

Dave needs breakfast.....see ya later.

Tara, I shouldn't be laughing at your post, but I did!!!

Of course we can't forget Rose Mary either!!!! Miss having you around! Shoot I still remember when she first joined us!!!!

That is kind of funny about the gloves thing! I admit, I am wishing I stuck to scarves... this afghan is going to be daunting. I suppose I shoudl do a baby blanket next time, but oh well... I'm just trying to decide on a pattern now that i figured out how to purl :p

Nancy, I'm not a huge TV show watcher in general. That was one my familiy watched together though. I love Lucy myself!!! We do watch House... and part of Grey's Annatomy. That's as close as I get to comedy now ;)

Good Morning all......

Beth - so glad to hear that your check up went well !!!
Nancy - I applaud you - I could never have chocotale in the cupboard for that long.
Tara - I don't do water but I love to camp so I would be good for at least 1/2 of that trip - cute glove story - I always told my husband that my mom liked him better than me too.
Elaine - what color is the afghan you are working on?
Hi Caroline!!!!!!
Hi Amanda - sorry about the family issues - never fun.
Karen - hugs to you. My chiropractor used one of those electronic stimulation machines on ny neck once and I got really sick from it - very nauseaus.
HI Sherry.
*** I'm a great Alf fan.

Not much going on here - got my car aligned yesterday - Chris has it at school today. thanks to all of you for the supportive thoughts for Chris and me. Alyssa has called 3 times already - I am trying to keep things light and positive for her.

Today is sunny and cold - staying inside......

Hugs all around.....

Hi Y'all-Y'alls. I've never tried soduku actually. Maybe I'll just have a small glass.

Tara, I always thought you were an ALF fan since you have said "I kill me" on occassion after a funny.

Lainey, you really are becoming a knit-wit! Good luck with it!

Quick hi... most of my morning was sitting here deciding on my over all stitch

moss-mine.jpg

Decided on that one

Paula the whole blanket will be about the color of butter. I got cheap yarn to do this. It's mostly a "see if I can stick with it" kind of deal. Instead of colored edging though, I will just be doing a different stitch to "frame" it. But before I got too many stitches done, I needed to figure out what ht center would be
How long until you find out how Christopher did?

Paula, you are not funny looking!!!! So hush! You just have a great ability to tell stories :teeth:

Alan :rotfl: I love that little joke there.
And yep, knit-wit I am... hey, that's the name of our group... must be really fitting ;)

Oh and anything involving numbers mean I am terrible, so I won't be touching that site!

Karen :wave2:
Hope you have a great trip and a Happy Birthday! :bday:

Off to bike, eat and knit! Then make supper later :wave2:

Hey there SSB! You realize a few of us will be in your neck of the woods in just about a week! I actually won't be staying too far down the road from the lemonade stand :)

Alan :rotfl:
You got me with that! How I loved Alf! And yes, too, is Bubba big! That was my dad's first comment when he saw the pics of him :p

Did not realize that...! How many of you rascals are here?

Tara, you're a twit!!!!!

But still, you aren't funny looking either ;)

SSB, so far two confirmed will be there... decided that it would be a great way to celebrate my birthday this year. Will be down along the Boardwalk for the first time!

And I'm a fool! It took a long time to load the reply so I went off to do things... and do things... and totally blanked on replying :rotfl:
