Hi y'all! Worked on my laptop a lot. It is taking a lot to get through all the updates. Boring I know. I'll be doing that and major cleaning tomorow I thnk.

Karen  I know how that feels... amazing how time does fly. I can't ever believe that it's been since '93 for my mom. Hard to believe she's been gone nearly half of my life.

everyone must have had a busy day.
I saw we were on page 4 before Elaine saved us :(

had a nice day with Christin.
We got the treadmill all set up after going upstairs and then down to the basement

Evening, all. Just got back in from a very nice day.

We went over to Animal Kingdom. Got some great pictures (and grabbing the camera had been an afterthought). I love Kiliminjaro this time of year, you get to see more animals. Pangani was great, the Gorillas were out in the habitats! Everest was running, as they were filming it. I think that the people we saw will look *very* familiar when watching the preshow boarding videos!

Went over to DtD to kill some time, then met the in laws at 'Ohana. We were very lucky. ADR was for 9:10, so we got there at 7:50 and booked on down to the beach to watch Wishes. Well, website said 8, but it's a holiday weekend. At 8:10 we decided it probably was 9 and checked in for dinner. We were seated at 8:50 and got to see Wishes from our table. Neat. Menu changed since we were last there, but they added my favorite comfort food. :teeth:

Got the '06 toppers, pot of gold, new valentine and angel. Liz, I got yours as well.

Bethie, aren't you glad when the insufferable Skins fans don't get their way. I grew up with Jets AND Giants fans, and they were angels compared to those Skins fans.

Nancy, see above-they really are annoying. Yes, busy day here! I agree with Lainey-the Scion will grow on you-as we say here "they're so ugly, they're cute"

JRKaren, the mass must have been very nice. Sorry that everyone didn't show up.

Karen, hope you're feeling better.

Sherry, sounds like you had a fun night. We don't play much poker-neither one of us wants to be a "None" when the other's po'ed! ;)

Anyway, need to blog really quick, then head to bed. I work in the morning, but then I'm off for four days, woohoo. Headed up to Jacksonville overnight to be my friend's personal "Clean Sweep" It'll be "Donna, you haven't used this since college-it's going bye bye!".

Suzanne

Morning all! Nancy, I dunno... maybe this group is just going to be a slower one now than they used to. I suppose people just don't have time for each other anymore *sigh*

Though I'm not much better today... I admit I slept in big time. Since this cough thing is still hanging on, I haven't had a good nights sleep in a long time! I woke up once at 1 am and then I was OUT for the night! I guess I needed sleep

Suzanne, sounds like a great day there! What new thing did they add to the menu? I'm afriad to go back there since I loved the old menu so much... and picky eater here hates change :p

Nancy, I am glad you had a good day with the family!

I need to get moving though... I have a bunch I wanted to do today... sleep won out though I guess

I'm here!! :teeth:

Actually, Elaine hit the nail on the head. Tomorrow make 2 weeks since I've been sick. I have been crawling back to bed in the mornings and just conking out. :guilty: The asthma and cold really flare up at night and I've been a sick and miserable girl.

Yesterday I watched the Steelers game!

Now of course it is deadline week -- and I am behind the eight ball once again. :scared1:

Very, very cold here - but we never did get the 2-4" of snow that was predicted on Saturday.

Nancy, is is raining again today out your way??

Happy Monday - woke up to 4 degrees - freezing here!!

To those that asked - Alyssa and Ryan saw "Wicked".

Went to my nephew's birthday party yesterday - did DDR?? if that 's what it's called - for Playstation.....didn't watch football.

Nothing else going on here.....

Pam - sending clod winds to blow all those sickness germs away.....
Elaine - so sorry you are not feeling well either
Suzanne - new toppers sound so cute.
JR Karen - are you going to a Bruins game??? I love hockey....
Nancy - I'm with you - those Scions are pretty ugly.....
Karen - birthday wishes to your son!!

More later.....

Paula,
Dan is going with his HS Chorus group to Pittsburgh in March to see the traveling production of Wicked. His Jazz Band is then going to NYC in May - and they'll see a Broadway Production there, too.

Been thinking of you and have all of you in my thoughts. :goodvibes

Oooh - you did Dance Dance Revolution? You are a very brave soul! I bought this for DD and DS for Christmas. DS didn't even want to try it - so I ended up buying a resurbished XBox for DD and she took everything back to college with her. I don't have the coordination to even attempt DDR! :rotfl:

Alyssa roommate got Dance Dance Revolution for Christmas - right now that's the only thing that's enticing her to go back.

Pam, I think we need a support group... those who still can't breathe after far too long of dealing with it ;)

Good luck with the deadlines though! I hope you find all the energy you need!

Wow, you *are* brave Paula! I'm not sure I have the guts to try a game like that  Sometimes I swear I am not coordinated enough for something like that ;)

Woohoo for Dan's music groups. I bet both of those will be a blast!

I should get moving now... I have laundry and kitchen cleaning to do (fun fun) I'll stop in later when I'm sick of doing it all ;)

Oh and the good news is after using my laptop some this morning, I think I have it set up good enough for me. Though I do need to load some dialer stuff on it for when I travel with it.

Awwww... Paula - I bet it is hard to go back to college, especially after Alyssa's had such a long Christmas break. :guilty:

DD came home on Sat. and will go back later today. She can't believe that just about every other college had such a long break - but she will finish up college the last week of April.

I remember her being overwhelmed the first semester, too. She and your DD seem to be very much alike - wanting to perform at the top level and keep those grades up.

Paula, you sneated in on me  to you both! I hope that her 2nd half of the year goes well! I am kind of shocked though... I am not used to that long of a break for winter. I am glad you did have that time home together though!

Now that I loaded my dialer for traveling, I realized I totally forgot about loading Office... I guess I might as well do that before I start cleaning. Pity I have to wait on that ;)

Elaine - YOU sneated in on me!! :rotfl2: Isn't that the truth of not being able to breathe? :( I am not an "open mouth breather" to begin with, so trying to sleep at night is just not working! :sad1:

I have more laundry and also kitchen cleaning to tackle as well. Egads - I hate housework!

Good luck on getting that lapwork working at top performance level!

good morning gang..

sorry I didn't get a chance to play yesterday. Jarrod woke up with a fever and Ethan was a crabass all day. Jarrod's fever went away but he has a cold and was very clingy yesterday. So real life got in the way of computer life.

Heading out soon to do some grocery shopping and then taking Jar to his counseling appt. and then to bowling. So if I don't stop by, don't take it personally!!

tara

Office XP has just been installed... since I'm a lazy bum, I will have to get moving and do the kitchen cleaning and think about what I want to make for supper.

Then I have my knitting group tonight. I always look forward to that...

But Pam, like you I am not an open mouth breather either! I think that's what has been getting me at night as well. Eh, I will get better soon I hope ;) I hope yours does too... it's just awful when you can't get a decent nights sleep in. I've been rather cranky lately due to that.

I think I'm going to do one more check for updates online for my laptop and call it quits then.

I really need to get moving and just cannot find motivation to do it

Elaine - ya know, between not being able to breathe at night - you then have to listen to your spouse mumble and grumble that he can't sleep because you are coughing, sneezing, wheezing, and blowing your nose!

But, in his words, "It's different when I am sick and tossing and turning." Sure it is, dude, sure it is.....

Can you believe Alyssa also has a week off in February and April??? Those weeks will be devoted to job hunting. I am trying to get her a part time summer job with my company - fingers crossed!! And....she is thinking about applying to a state university - may transfer - would be closer to home which is what she wants. If you remember she also looked at the college where Ryan is - she did not want to go there and still doesn't - so I think this is a girl with a good head on her shoulders.

Kids are out this afternoon - Alyssa, Chris and my nephews (15 and 17) all went to see "The Ringer".

Dang it... stupid cats helped me lose my post

Tara, sorry about the sickies in your house!

Pam, I hear ya on that! men can be such wusses!

Paula, when does Alyssa get out for the summer?

Back to cleaning!
