So when are you going, Tara? ;)
As soon as we get back from this trip, I will book the next 2 :bounce: I have never been this much in one year :hyper:
We are going to do Thanksgiving again, so I might only see one or two people before we leave. I wanted to make sure we got the two extras days without losing pay. I'm not telling my brother and his wife about it yet...we'll wait to cross that bridge when we get to it!! hehehe

Kimmar...too funny!!

Suzanne...enjoy your days off. My old ASM was scrapping with us tonight. She has to be back at 9 tomorrow morning. :crazy2:

Karen...great job for your DS!! woohoo!

Elaine...what kind of car was it? My brain is old and forgetful.

Hey Beth...Astrid, my old ASM, and Astrid's assistant all want to do a recollections weekend this summer...so look out we will be invading your territory. We figure 4 to a room will make the cost really cheap!

Okay, its late, i'm gonna hit the hay. Jarrod did have a great day today but he was really sad tonight that his dad left. so who knows what the weekend will hold.

see ya tomorrow!
tara

Good morning, getting ready to leave for work, but wanted to pop in and say hello. Been really busy with the store (my manager took some vacation time this past week) and we are still cleaning out our former apartment. Sorry, I haven't had much time to post because of that.

Happy belated birthday, Sherry!! I think a triple burger is quite an appropriate way to celebrate!

Glad to hear you got trip #1 all taken care of, Nancy! I think it's wonderful that you are going to be there so often this year!! Just hope that we can cross paths with ya somewhere along the line. so sorry about all that wet weather you've been having, too. Of course, with the football game today, Seattle has been in our news quite a bit this week. Have I ever mentioned how much I despise football?!

Whooofreakinghoooooooo!!! Sounds good to me!! Just let me know when and I'll get ya'll registered and see about planning something special. Bad news is, Fri & Sat night crops are going up to $15 on Feb. 1st. :-(

 and  to the rest of ya'll. No time for more, gotta dash! Hope ya'll have a lovely Saturday!! :grouphug:

Morning all! To answer the car questions, it's a Honda Accord EX in carbon bronze. It's a very odd grayish color that changes per light. It's medium shade with a hint of bronze, a hint of gray, saw a greenish tint to it in some lights. Nice dark interior too. A really neat color that was new for this year. It went better than expected yesterday and I was scared since it was my dad's money I was negotating with. But they took what I thought was going to be rejected. Of course I wonder if we could've gotten lower, but I'm thinking not enough to make a huge difference.

John  I loved that joke! I hope you make it past your 2nd anniversary w/o any troubles... and now I'll probably remember that since it's the day after my brother's birthday

Suzanne, I did forget to say earlier congrats to the boys!

LOL, Tara... I think I am going to have to make ressies for my trip soon. I'm pretty sure we are looking at the 2nd through the 9th. I'll look again before I book though.

Awww Pam, I hope you get back among the living soon! I know it's hard after being sick.

Holy crud, midterms at that age? WOW! I'm scared to have kids and all the stuff they do at young ages. But congrats all the same!

Silly food jokes :p

Awww Bethie, sorry about the football stuff. Of course my sweetie is excited for the game and being that we love football, we can't wait to watch. Of course being in Ohio, we dont' hear all the stuff y'all do.

Not sure what we are up to today... windy and snowy so I suppose we'll see.

OMG...Jarrod didn't get into anything this morning!!! But it helped too that with his breakfast I left some of the candy I knew he would get into! :rotfl2: But he was good, he ate his oatmeal bar and then ate the candy. He did express his feelings last night wiht mom and tell her that he was very sad that dad left again. I don't know how to combat this. Hopefully the counselor will be able to give me some insights into how to take care of this.

Bethie...don't worry about the $5! If there are 4 of us sleeping together the room rate will be a lot less so I'm not too concerned. We are going to wait until the summer to do it (I think :teeth: )

Elaine...we will be there for thru the 4th. I debated on waiting the extra week but I really am selfish and want the two extra days that thanksgiving gives us. I know it would have been a bunch cheaper to come the next week but after one trip of the extra days, I'm a wee bit spoiled!! I'm beginning to think that I should change my lic. plate to "DIS BRAT"!! Since I get my way with it!! (but then again it helps that I pay for it!!)

I'll check in later today. I am going to try to finish putting away the christmas stuff. Last saturday i felt like crap and then on sunday I was just a bum so I am making myself stay busy today so that I don't get tired or a headache!!

hugs to all!!
tara

Good morning.

Beth...good to see you. How is the cleaning of the old place going? Are you almost out?
I hate football too ::yes::
Trip dates are all set. I do wish you could make it for one....especially the girlfriends one, but I know that is very close to your annual Christmas trip :(
This one is Feb. 1-10
Oct. 29- Nov. 7
and...:hyper: (well, hyper about them all, but this one is super hyper) ;) Jan. 8-19, 2007

Sounds like a great trip, Tara. I would go for the extra days too.
I guess I need to make ressies for the Oct. trip, but it is hard to do that before this one happens.

Shopping was fun yesterday. We had a 2 hour planning session over lunch :teeth:
Got some new BaB things and just had a great time haning out together.
Got new red hats too :teeth:

Doing the movie/lunch thing today.

Morning all, the kids let me sleep! Yay! I am not a morning person, however, since having kids, sleeping in means anything after 7am and not noon!

Tara, yay for booking your trip. I just have to talk to my boss for my dates and I can book my DL trip. LOL about leaving candy out-Neil's been sneaking fudge all week.

Nancy, THREE trips this year? Lucky duck! Any of them at the end of March? :teeth:

Bethie, Have fun at work today. Store manager and I are both scrambling to use our time-we now have 'use it or lose it time'. Previous owner allowed us to keep twice the annual vacation and it was rolling.

The kids put Shrek on, which I've never seen-Ed said I'd get a little annoyed, lol.

Karen, yeah, that can happen with the patches. A good friend was on the narcotic lollipops they give kids, so you may want to ask your doc about those. After those is when I think he got the patch. My experience with pain meds is that most will make me queasy, I just tolerate that. If I've gotta take pain meds, it's pretty bad.

Lainey, car sounds nice. I love those paint jobs that change color.

Gotta go look at the course offerings at my old college. They have a distance learning class and I need to make sure it's not full. If I get in, I get my degree in May, woohoo!

Suzanne

Hi everone - popping in for a quick hello!!

Woohoo on good midterm grades, good days at school , new cars - lunch with friends, trip planning, BaB shopping.....etc!!

Not sure if I mentioned - Alyssa and Ryan had a wonderful time in New York - they spent the day walking around - had lunch at a "interactive" restaurant called the "Jeckyll and Hyde" and the play they say was fantastic. Alyssa said "mom it was so good I was crying"!!

She goes back next week (not sure what day yet - supposed to be Sunday but my husband won't miss football so we will see...). I am savoring every last moment with her till then.

Things are going pretty good with Chris - his counselor started testing last night - now saying he does not think he is ADD......starting IQ testing next week. I also brought Chris shopping - new sneakers and clothes at AE (note to self for next christmas - give gift cards - the sales are amazing) - got $160 worth of clothes for $43!!!!!

Rainy day here today - husband and son are at the boat show - Alyssa just got home from work - we are going shopping for a while - I have to work 4-11pm tonite - hubby invited people over to watch football - guess I'll be peeking in and out from my office. Got a new book in the mail yesterday - "Just Rewards" - by Barbara Taylor Bradford - can't wait to start it - "A Woman of Substance" was one of my all-time favorites.

Enjoy your Saturday everyone!!

bump!! hi gang!!

just finished some pizza and I'm trying to stay awake and cross stitch...i will not nap today, I will not nap today...zzzzzzzzzzzzz

Hi y'all... not in a very chatty mood today... just tired I think.

If I get the "guts" to do it today, I am totally redoing my laptop. It is just old and needs help. So I think it's time to start fresh and wipe it out. I've been on this desktop for over a year so I'm pretty sure I have all I need from that old one.

Tara, I totally understand! I think I decided that I want the extra day instead of more points for less time (if that makes sense). I need to look at that on Monday or Tuesday maybe :)
However I am totally up for change and for all I know we'll wind up close to where Nancy is with her fall trip :p

Suzanne, good luck with the class! I did see your IM later on... so ty for the info :teeth:

Nancy, I am so glad you had fun with your trip! And planning is always the best!

Paula, glad to hear they had a good time in NY! And woo hoo for the good deals! Best wishes to Chris. I hope they can figure it all out!

I'm off to get in a hot shower to see if it will help with my headache. I'll catch y'all later!

Junior is driving me crazy!! :earseek: He wants me to help him eat better and help with the diabetes, but he gets mad every time I say he can't have this, or whatever. :rolleyes1 I'm going to strangle him.

Karen, congrats to DS. What a great score! :bounce:

John, we saw a Nacho Mamas in Norfolk. :rotfl:

ohh poor Sherry!! I'm sorry Junior is being moody. I know when my mom had to change her diet she became a real PITA!!! Its hard to get used to doing something new. If you strangle him just long enough for him to take a short nap then you wouldn't have to listen to him!! :teeth:

Elaine...i know the not wanting to chat much. I'd reall prefer to be sleeping right now. But I'm trying to stay awake!!

Note to the wise...there are some foods you can scrimp on and buy the cheapest on....fish sticks however....not one that you can do it with.. :crazy2: I feel bad that I'm making my kids eat these things...I don't think they have any fish in them. I thought I would save some money and buy these...nope won't do it again...now I have to get rid of the other 100 sticks that are still left!

uhoh...just heard a plate hit the floor...gotta go see who is throwing their food!

later

Oh, thank God!!! The 'Skins lost!!!!!

Beth...good to see you. How is the cleaning of the old place going? Are you almost out?

Cleaning is going slowly cuz I just can't do what I want to do with this stupid knee of mine. Dave tries to pick up at least a load each day, but he's been having some 'puter issues at work and has been putting in some long hours there. But, yes, we're almost out and I'm seriously considering a cleaning service!! I'm afraid the "annual" Christmas trip is probably not going to happen for me again. This year was an exception for me, but management is not allowed to take vacation from Thanksgiving thru the 1st of the year. That's the retail world for ya! We are talking about October, so maybe we can see you then! Just want to avoid MNSSHP on the 31st. January might also be doable! We'll see.

Car sounds great, Elaine! I love those colors that change with the light or angle, too.

Sherry, one of the girls I work with was just diagnosed with Type 2 and she is so depressed, it isn't funny. Calls in sick every other day, complaining of being lightheaded. Liz tells me it is a HUGE psychological adjustment, not just physical, so I'm sure Junior is having his own troubles dealing with it, too. Big  for both of you, along with plenty of prayers and PD to ease the adjustment.

Paula, it sounds like Alyssa and Ryan had a wonderful time! What show did they see, by the way? Hope the counselor can help ya'll get to the bottom of Chris' problems and be of help to ya'll.

LOL, Tara!! Glad Jar is showing some improvement!! And if ya can't wait till summer, we have a guest room with a queen-size bed now. And a jacuzzi tub in that bathroom! Add the couch and the airbed and all 4 of you could stay right here. I don't even require a credit card for your reservation!!

Laundry is calling and I have a movie to watch. Night, all!!

You're glad they lost, Beth? :teeth: Go Hawks!! Hate football but have to root for the home team ::yes::
Take it easy with that knee Beth. Cleaning service sounds good to me ::yes::
I do hope you can make it for one of our trips.
Me, I would rather EatW (as in eat...and have done it). Maybe dessert around the world ;)

Sorry Junior is being a PITA....it always takes awhile for adjusting.
Just keep at it.

Well, Dave ordered his car today
The inside is great...I just need to get over the outside :rotfl: Ugliest thing I have ever seen.
1-4 weeks for delivery.

Quick hi... burnt out from the laptop... have it started though.

Luis is very bummed about the Redskins :( So sorry Beth, I wish they had won!

Good luck Sherry! I'm sure it will get easier soon!

LOL, tara, no worries here... I hate fish :p

Bethie, take care of the knee! And have fun planning a trip for whenever it will be. We hope to make Dec, but we have a lot of factors that might change that.

Yumm.... EATW sounds yum!

I'm off... 'nite all!

Quick hi before I head to bed. SIL just left a bit ago...we played Texas Hold Em. :teeth: Gonna play again tomorrow night. Its so addicting.

Going out to dinner tomorrow with my mom and my brother for my b-day. :)

Hey All,

I fell asleep early last night so thats why Im up early. Im trying to fight off a cold so I guess thats why I was so tired so early yesterday. We had a nice day though. It was my eldests birthday and we just took it easy and went to their bball games. My eldests team tried hard to win for eldests birthday. They came very very close. It was so sweet. We brought cupcakes and juice and they sang happy birthday. Ds was so psyched to have a bball game on his birthday. Littlests game was earlier in the day and they won. He had a great day though. Eldest Ds kept calling him birthday brother so that made him feel special yesterday too.

Suzanne I am like you. Unless the pain is bad I dont take anything. Unfortunately the pain now is that bad. By nightfall I have a definite limp in the right leg from the pain. I try very very very hard at work not to say anything or show any type of impairment or pain. It would not be taken to well. There are many times during the day that I will stand up, have to look like Im nonchalantly doing something at my desk, the whole time biting my lip to keep from yelping in pain and physically I am not able to put one foot in front of the other to walk. That in and of itself takes a lot out of me every day. By nightfall Im a mess. We had hoped that the pain patch would have controlled the pain all day and not impaired me mentally but it isnt gonna happen because I am so sensative to whats in it. I was beyond queasy going into the other on it. Hopefully we will eventually figure out what will help with this. Im not giving up hope yet.

Elaine good luck on getting all the computer stuff figured out. I had to wipe this one clean in order to undo all the damage that eldest did to it when it was in their room. Not fun.

Paula it sounds like Alyssa and Ryan had a great time in NY. What did they see? I hope things can get worked out with Chris soon.

Sherry Im sorry Junior is being such a PITA. I know my mom and dad went through a lot of what you describe Junior as doing. My mother cried for two days when she found out she had it. My dad never did take to the diet all too well for it so was always having to adjust his insulin. He was the type that wasnt going to be denied what he wanted. Drove us crazy.

Congrats Nancy on dh ordering his car. What type did he get?

I have to agree Beth. Get a cleaning service. You dont want to do any more damage to your knee.

Tara Im sorry but Im LOL on the fishsticks only because I did something similar to that with something else. I was actually told by the kids YOU expect us to EAT this? They are not picky and not fresh kids so I had to laugh when they said it. Im glad to hear things are going better with Jar.

Well I guess I will get to getting things ready for church today. I need to make some cookies before we leave. The church is having a carnival after services and we are supposed to bring some sort of dessert. Its always a fun day when they have the carnival. Too bad its so cold today. Hopefully it will warm up some by noon.

I will checkin laters.

HUGS TO ALL!! :grouphug:

Quick hi... need to get ready for church!

Sherry, have fun playing again! Luis seems to like that one a lot!

Karen, hope you feel better!

I am going to spend a bunch of time on the laptop today. Nothing is really all that wrong with it, I'm just not thrilled with a few things. So I'll play and decide if I like XP Pro on it or if Home is good enough for it. It's three years old and was my main computer, now it is just a back up. I wanted to clean it so I could treat it as such, and a total wipe was easiest to do :teeth:

See y'all later!

Good morning.

I can't eat fish sticks anymore  When Dave and I were first married and in school and had no money. Every week we had boxed macaroni and cheese and these cheapo, disgusting fish sticks  I dreaded that day of the week. But it filled the tummy and only cost 25 cents for the whole meal!! Yes, I am that old ;)

Dave ordered a Scion B...that ugly little box car

Christin is coming over this afternoon. I am going to run her through the cat care procedure and then we will go out to dinner :)

Awww, Nancy, I've seen uglier ;) I bet soon it will look cute and not ugly! How long until he gets it?

I'm still working on my laptop. I decided to re-do the redo of it. Just at least lost hte partition that I hated having so much before. I hate when a drive is partitioned and by the time I really noticed, I had done so much to it, htat I didn't feel like undoing it.

Should probably spend most of my time on that one right now fixing it up

I admit, I've never liked fish... never will. I always dreaded Fridays when we had to eat it. I guess if you put enough ketchup on the cheapy ones, I can manage to choke them down, but I will never force any kids to eat them in my house. They are just yuck to me!

Back to the computer... hopefully it will be 100% working by the time I go to church tonight :)

Just stopping by for a quick hello. I hope that everyone is having a great weekend!

We had a mass in memory of my mom yesterday. I can't believe that it has already been two years. Where does the time go? It was a really nice mass. Only three of my siblings and two of my nieces were there, along with three of my aunts and three of my cousins. The actually anniversary date is Tuesday.

I have been taking care of the long weekend to relax, and get some cleaning done. I think I'm going to do some scrapbooking done, too. I'm really behind. I'm still working on my Dec. 2004 trip, and I have had three Disney World trips and a Disneyland trip since then. Tomorrow, I'm going to a hockey game with my nephew and my brother-in-law.

Guess that will do it for now.
