Per Third Day's website though, they are $25... but no online ordering. I really have been digging and found no way to get tickets. Kind of annoying
Nuts. I just checked. The presale link is still current, yet it looks like the presale window is in actuality, closed now. At least according to the second page. Sigh. :(

Just the thought of going to Golden Corral for Christmas Lunch skeeves me out. I wish they would have picked someplace different.
:rotfl: Karen, I don't blame you a bit, I'd feel the same way. Skeeves... hee... sorry, that made me giggle. :p

Yay! I'm glad to hear Narnia is good! I'm really looking forward to seeing it. :Pinkbounc

I have two choices "you are going to see a doctor because mommy thinks your strange" or "you are going to see the docotor becuase you just ain't right!"
:p LOL! I'll be thinking good thoughts for you and Jar tomorrow, Tara. I hope it all goes well.

Howdy.

Well, My MIL had to investigate how good the local hospital really is at treating patients. She took a fall this afternoon and smacked up her face pretty good and fractured her shoulder. I found out for my use that it only takes 30 minutes from the mall I work at to get to the hospital.

Near as I can gather, she probably tripped on the threshold from her bedroom into her bathroom. I'll be picking up a throw rug to tack down over it tomorrow. At costco the other day, I noticed they had Disney throw rugs and the bathroom is all Mickey, so a Mickey rug will be picked up in the a.m.

So, it's past 11 and the kids are enjoying it not being a school night-we were lent Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, I've got some marinara sauce going so MIL and SIL don't have to worry about cooking for the next few days.

Nancy, sounds like the party was great.

Tara, Yeah, I've had to tell Neil we were just going to talk to the doctor. Now he knows better.

OMG, Count Dooku is Willy Wonka's dad?

Karen, that bracelet sounds so pretty. Bummer about the Golden Corral...Any chance to get them to someplace else that's open, like Cracker Barrel?

Gotta do some online shopping. The brainstorm I had for Ed's present didn't pan out at any of the stores I was in today, so Amazon will be rescuing me, I think.

I think that was about the most appropriate response... though I bet you liked it for whole other reasons than I did ;)

Kimmie, not sure what is up with the presale, but where did you wind up ordering tickets through. There is a page called itickets.com (I think) but I have no choice in seating or anything. I will be calling later though.

Ouch, Suzanne, that sounds so painful. Hope she recovers quickly!

Cleo is on my lap and I have other things I'd rather do today though... but who am I to move such a cute kittie from a sleeping spot ;)

I bet ::yes::

Hope your MIL has a fast recovery, Suzanne. Ouch is right.

Cleaning and laundry today....oh buy, will the excitement ever end

I ordered them through TD's website. After clicking on the presale link for the city I wanted, it took me to a page that lists the cities again and gives you a place to register at their website. Once I did that, all the ordering info came up. I noticed last night though, that once you click on "presale" on page one within the "touring" portion of the website that the second page lists all of the cities presales as closed. My city too. It's looking like I barely squeaked in under the deadline. Have you tried yet to register with the site and see where it takes you afterwards? There didn't seem to be assigned seating for me either. I was issued "gold" tickets, whatever that is. LOL! If it's anything like the last concert, "gold" is the first 8-10 rows, silver from there, etc. I think that's a venue thing though. Time before that, at a college, there were assigned seats. I imagine your best bet is to do as you said and just call the venue. Sorry I couldn't be of more help. I didn't realize the presale window of time was about to slam shut. :(

Ouch, Suzanne! How is your MIL this morning? Poor thing!

Something tells me Nancy and Elaine may be discussing a Pirates/Caribbean preview. Hmmmm... :)

Can you imagine having Count Dooku/Saruman as your dentist and dad?!? Eeeeeeep!!!

Morning. Ended up pretty late, since I had no snoring hubby to share the bed!

MIL is still in the hospital, they'll be letting her out today. Ed and Jane need to bring her clothes. Ed told me to go to my stepdad's, since that was the plan for today. Wondering about the clothes situation for MIL, since she practically lives in sweatshirts and pullover type shirts. I think I'm calling him back and seeing if I need to do some shopping, although I may pull a couple of shirts out of my closet for her for now.

Time to call stepdad and see what's up.

Suzanne

Morning Ya Yas!

Suzanne, so sorry about MIL. Glad she gets to come home today and that you are not required to be in work for the next couple of days.

Nancy, great news about that phat fat check!

Karen, sorry about your Christmas lunch plans not what you would hope to be doing. Wouldn't be my choice of a place to eat either.

Tara, hoping Jar is doing ok in the "meet the Doc" time.

TC, missed the show last night. Too tired me.

Hi to everyone else, not much time to just now. Cards are finally in the mail! Thanks to everyone who sent. The cards with all the "little sparklies" just kept giving and giving... :rotfl2: :rotfl2: (DH was not happy as he opened them to put up around our window and I heard some sort of expletives and then the vaccuum. (tee hee) :rotfl: :rotfl: Yesterday I did my 22 miles on the treadmill. That is it for me until the marathon with the major amount of miles. I am convinced that I just MIGHT make it! I am so close with my time to the minimum required. I now know that I can finish, just not about the timing. We'll soon see.

Been cleaning... noticed I need to go to the store too. Trying to decide on what to make for supper tonight. Nothing good is coming to mind and I am running "low" on meats to choose from in the freezer.

So Nancy, my life is about as exciting as yours ;)

Well dang it... not sure why the presale was closed so quickly. I did register and that did bring me to a site. ALL presales are closed. I haven't asked Luis if I can go yet, so I better do that before I order ;)

Yep, talking about a trailer for POTC2... they needed more Orli in it though ;)

Suzanne, good luck today with everything. Does your MIL just not like certain types of clothing? Or is she kind of in a rut?

Need to call Luis about a couple of things... then back to cleaning.

Elaine,

I guess she just has been wearing these comfy clothes forever! I called Ed back (he's still at the house) and asked if she even has any button down shirts. Jane had just realized what I had-that she needs something other than those pullovers.

This also puts a wrinkle into Christmas Eve. We don't know if Ed's working yet (but he probably is), and I've got to go into work at 4pm. Day care is closed, and Jane was going to watch the boys for a couple of hours. Can't do that now.

Suzanne

Suzanne, I think I understand that realization! I think finding her new outfits would make her feel like a million bucks though. And good luck with Christmas Eve. I'd help out if I could!

Luis finally ordered his parents Christmas gift. So I am happy to know that no one was left out this year :)

Lainey, I certainly hope that Third Day can help get you on the "right" path.

Mrs. AA took a spill Thursday and twisted her already hurt ankle. We spent the afternoon going from doctor, to X-ray, to medical supply companies to find a lace up ankle brace and a cane.

However, we did go visit my family for our Christmas visit this weekend and had a good time.

Now I am trying to get cards out (whoops) and grocery shopping this week.

Alan, sorry about the Mrs. Hope she isn't down too long.

Suzanne, eek! So sorry about the last minute scramble to get kid sitters. PD that you can find a way. MIL sure found a hard way to decide to get a new wardrobe.

Elaine, yay! that all will have something and that pressure is off. Good luck figuring out what to make. I hate having to make magic happen like that.

I forget who asked. We made cabbage pierogi this weekend. Sort of like the cabbage and noodle thing. All we have left to do is buy Christmas dinner fixings.

Sorry to hear about MrsAA :( Hope she heals quickly.
How is Pilot doing?

Elaine....nope I beat you for boring....power went off for 2 hours  Slowed everything way down....and it got a tad cold in here. The kitties were mad because they thought I turned their lights off ;)

Now I need to get my laundry and cleaning done....I did do what I could without electicity.
And need to make coleslaw for dinner.

Sorry about the glitch in plans, Suzanne.

Hmmm...might to need to go see Narnia again....good movie AND good preview :teeth:

Lily, I noticed now you sneated in on me earlier. Good luck with the marathon! I bet you will do just great with that!!!
Oh I decided to try making a beef stew... it's stewing away right now. We'll see how it turns out ;)
That was me who asked about the perogies... never had that type before, but I am so glad you are finishing up for Christmas.

Alan, Third Day or not, I am sure I will never be on the "right path" for some. Plus a little late now for me anyway

Nancy  shame on them for letting your power go out. Sorry that did happen though. I just keep hoping that we don't have a repeat of last year and have a bad snow & ice storm anytime soon. People were w/o power last year with below freezing temps for 5 or more days :(

Need to kick the cats off the bed... time to strip it again :)

Elaine, Thanks for the marathon support. I will be begging everyone for their PD for that weekend before I leave. Beef stew! That's what were WERE having. DH just called and said he wants to order pizza. Coupon Monday, who could beat that! I love pizza! I guess I could use some extra carbs about now.

Nancy, You are amazing. See, I would take it that lights going out would mean a "sign" that I must leave and go somewhere...anywhere. You continue on with your duties.
:worship:

Total veg here, although I have gotten some stuff done. Ziti for inlaws, rocky road fudge, took the kids christmas card picture and I'm uploading it to Costco right now. They'll be back tomorrow afternoon.

MIL is still in the hospital. They want to run tests to see why she passed out. They don't understand that she fell first, then passed out. They seem to think she fell because she passed out.

Suzanne

Hey gang!

Suzanne...hope MIL is feeling better.
AA...you need to quit tripping Mrs. AA!!! Now tht you have finished your cards...you wanna come do mine?? I need to get mine done and sent soon!

Thanks to everyone I've recieved cards from!! I promise to do mine....but they may become New Year's cards!! hehe

The appt went well. He said there was no sign of Asperger's but he did think he has some Sensory Intergration Issues. Jarrod performed well...he hid under the exam table some and crawled under a chair and curled up :teeth: . The doc asked me if I had thought about increasing his meds since he still seemed a little "keyed" up. We agreed to wait on this until his teacher fills out a survey. After we see what she says then we might do it.

We are also getting a referral for an Ocupational assessment. This would be fore the sensory integration issues. I am going to refer him for assessment at his school for an OTPT to help with his writing and cutting.
We are also going to see a behavioral specialist....I don't know who needs the help him or me!!! But we will do that as well.

Pretty much what I expected. Nothing too unusal about him....other than his biological make up :teeth: !!!

gotta go get some food. I'm going bowling tonight!!
hugs to all,
tara

Tara,

Well acquainted with the sensory integration thing. Made some adaptations in the clothing we buy for Neil as a result. He likes to chew on plastic, so I get him gum.

I don't wanna go out, but I have to. Got two packages ready to be mailed, and one is for a present for Deena. Think I'll go use the express post office thingie over by the mall. If only I knew where my packing tape disappeared!

Suzanne

Lily...where would I go at 8 in the morning? No shower, no teeth brushed....really better to hide at home.
So exciting about the marathon coming....best wishes for that.

Suzanne....hope MIL gets the okay to come home soon.

Stew...yummy. Pizza better ::yes::
We're having quiche :teeth:

Got packages at my door, but no mail in the box....I wonder if they have 2 different people delivering now. Have to go all the way back to the box later now

Geoff's cookies are still missing  I swear, I think the postal people are just eating them. It has shown the box at the same location since the 16th. I don't think they will be worth eating if they do ever show up.

Back to work...almost done. Little laundry to put away and the coleslaw to make.

Hey All,

Tara glad to hear the doctors visit went well and you are getting things accomplished for Jar. Im glad the doctor got to see the actual Jar. Thankfully mine ususally do the same (act up) at the doctors office so the doc gets to see what I deal with. Nothing worse than taking them there and having them act like perfect angels and they look at you like you are the nutty one LOL!! I have to call the neurologist about my eldest. He has been prone to wicked meltdowns lately.....in fact Im dealing with one about him practicing his viola now. I just had to put him in his room for the night over it. Called his neurologist because his fit really got bad and got the doc on call. Told me just to leave him in his room and call his doc tomorrow. Needless to say my nerves are a liiiiiiiiiiiiiitle on edge tonight.

Nancy sorry the power went out. That is the pits...btdt for two weeks LOL. Glad you were able to get some things accomplished. I was shocked at how much I could get done even without power after the hurricane.

Elaine sorry you are having so much trouble getting tickets for the Third Day Concert. Yummmm stew. I think Im gonna come to your house for dinner LOL!!

Suzanne Im sorry to hear about your MIL. Im also sorry the hospital wont listen about when exactly she passed out. I hope she heals quickly. I will keep her in my prayers. Sorry to hear about the problems with daycare for the kids on Christmas Eve. Do you have a neighbor who might take the kids for a couple of hours for you. I sure wish I was closer I would come help. Thanks for the tip on Cracker Barrel. We love the food there and I am going to suggest going there for lunch instead of the other place.

Alan Im so sorry to hear about Mrs. AA. I hope she heals quickly. I will keep her in my prayers.

Lily you are amazing...girl!!! 22 miles WOW!! I just know you will finish and in the allotted time. I am so proud of you! You will be in my prayers sweetie!!

I think Im going to go make myself a glass of wine and try to relax before dinner. My eldest has me so upset my chest is actually tight from the stress. I will check in laters.

HUGS TO ALL!!! :grouphug:
