....oh yeah, got some XMas cards in the mail lately.... ... :teeth: !

Hey All,

Nancy and Elaine I forgot to say thank you for the christmas cards. I was very careful opening up Nancy's LOL!!!

Been a quiet weekend so far for me. Didnt do to much yesterday but go to an appointment I had and today just to take my eldest to his viola lesson and then to the music store to pick up a book he needs and a music stand. His teacher says he is doing very well. Im proud of him. He has practiced more for this teacher than he ever did for the other one and he seems to be well on his way to correcting some errors in his hand position that the other teacher just couldnt get him to correct. Now that he knows the mechanics of correct position its easier for him to correct himself. I have had a terrible time though the last couple of days trying to find clothes that fit me. Everything is so big! Its not as noticible in my work clothes because scrubs are meant to be big but in my regular clothes you can really notice that they are big and the pants dont wanna stay up LOL!!!

Suzanne I am so sorry you had to deal with that last night with the car. You must have been scared to death!! Please make sure you are getting some you time and time to sleep. Im worried about how much you are working. I know the money is good but I worry about you running yourself down and getting sick and about your leg.

Nancy have fun at the party tonight. Yea for going to parties where they give out checks!!

Elaine Im glad you didnt have too much trouble going out to the stores today. I am avoiding all stores like the plague right now LOL!! Hope you can find something to eat tonight that suits you. Im not a picky eater but I would have problems finding something on a Vegan menu too. Congrats on getting the scarf done.

Pam good luck on getting the stories done before deadline. I can sympathize with bomb threats and missing school. Had that happen daily for a month while I was in college. Actually had to take some of our exams in the parking lot. They finally did catch the person and it was a professor not a student!! How are the kids doing? Any change? They are still in my prayers.

Hi Kimmar!!! How are you doing?

Lucystorm HI!!! Are you living in Florida now or just visiting?? Merry
Christmas!!

Sherry how wonderful that the boys and Junior are doing so much with the Church for Christmas. You must be so proud of them. I bet the quiet for you is heavenly also.

Is anyone else still messed up by the time change? I cant seem to get used to it this year for some reason. I almost just told the kids to get ready for bed because I thought it was much later than it is. Thankfully I looked at the time or I would have gotten the are you nuts lady look from them ROFL!!!

Back from dinner... wasn't too bad... not our style though.

Found something to eat, unfortunately a bit too much onion for my tastes. Not near as bad as I feared.

Kind of tired still though... so I might curl up in bed a wee bit early ;)

Elaine glad you found something you could eat. Sorry it had so much onion in it.

Hi all!

Nancy, good for the booking. Hope that check is everything and then some so you can have some left over to add to WDW trip. Cute outfits on the BaB babies.

Sherry, nice that all are involved in the church stuff. Gread break for you too. Glad you got some time for you.

Elaine, good you found something to eat. Hope you sleep well tonight.

Kimmar, nice pic. Kimmie, didja miss it? :earseek:

Karen, good for quiet weekend. Hope it stays that way for a bit.
Is anyone else still messed up by the time change?
Yes, I blinked and it's a new year almost! :)

Suzanne, glad nothing wa damaged. Hope you find time to sleep some.

Tara, so you got some mall time? Hope that holiday spirit is brimming over for you now.

Got another batch of pierogis done today, got 10 miles on the treadmill today and have been resting mostly since. DH went to work then came home and baked cookies. Mmmmm!

Evening all.

Found out that I wasn't the only one being egged. Yes, looking at it in the daylight, it was definitely egg. A coworker's friend was egged twice in the past month, and the Taco Bell was, too. I stopped for some nachos on the way home, and asked if they'd had any problems. Yep, last night.

Two days of taking it easy ahead, woohoo. Ed's going with his sister to bring nephew to the airport, and I'll be staying at home with the boys. I think we'll go shop for Daddy's present. Ed's been sent on a mission-I went to Costco and couldn't find what I wanted, but it IS available at Once Upon a Toy.

Thanks for all the Christmas Cards. At the rate I'm going, they'll be done in January! :rotfl:

Back sometime during the day.

Suzanne

:wave2: Party was good. But another 2 hours getting there  I hate traffic. I thought we were going to be late, but lots of people were ;) (and 55 minutes coming home....much better ::yes:: ).
Yep...came home with a nice, fat check :teeth: They didn't take out taxes though, so we need to figure out that before we go spending. Most will go into the retirement fund. The rest LV, bathroom remodels and some new carpet and toward Dave a new car.
Also came home with 2 more pounds of candy  Looks yummy. Belgian. It was my thank you for cookies.....awwww....
And Dave got a remote control plane......guess that was a good trade for a make-up case :rotfl:
Tired, cold...heading for the bed.

Glad it wasn't too bad, Elaine. What did you end up having?

Suzanne Im glad to hear you will have two days to rest up. Glad you could find what you wanted at Once Upon a Toy and that Ed will pick it up for you. Hopefully you wont have any more problems with the egg kid or kids.

I must have been resting too much this weekend because now I cant sleep LOL! Im just relaxing and reading the boards and then I will try to go back to sleep again.

Lily the next two weeks will be like this hopefully. The kids are in camp and I only work three days a week the next two weeks. I plan on keeping the kids out of camp the days Im home so we can have some quiet time together. We have some fun things at home planned.

Blame Kimmie for my quick hi and bye here... she had me looking up a Third Day concert location (for myself I admit) and I couldn't figure out where the heck to buy tickets (only $25) I suppose I'll have to call the college tomorrow. Then as I was looking through the College's website, I accidentally clicked a wrong link leading to "prayers" That wasn't bad until I nosily read it and they said about how 14 students were accepted to Jesus... most from Roman Catholic background and now wanting to find the truth... gee... thanks

anywho... that wasted about 20 minutes of my time and now I have to go to my heathen church ;)

Woohoo on 10 miles done Lily!! What kind of perogies were you making?

Yay for the good party, boo for the long drive. I hate fries (yep fries at a vegan place) and a white pizza. Besides onions "hurting" me, they also put a bit too many... a bit too sweet for my tastes. But better than I expected.

Boo on the eggs on cars... stupid kids!!!

Yay for relaxing

now I need to go... see ya :wave2:

Good morning Ya Ya's. Just popping in to remind you that "Once Upon A Mattess" will be on ABC this evening. Only a year later that it was supposed to originally air, but nonetheless it has returned to TV. Unfortunately this is NOT the version that stars my DD Sarah as Queen Agravain, but a relatively unknown actress, Carol Burnett. You can tell that ABC waited until the last minute to show the program because the DVD goes on sale Tuesday.

Gotta get ready for chuch. Have a great day everyone. :cool1:

John,

Thanks for the info. I was wondering why IMDB listed it as being shown on TV last year. Now I know. No TV, but I may end up with the DVD.

Ed thinks he's torturing me. He came home yesterday and chanted "I got your Christmas Present" as if it would bother me. Considering I gave him three choices, and I know he didn't get one (I"m picking that up today), that leaves two. One of them, he would need my assistance in picking out, so that leaves one item, lol. :rotfl: Maybe I should go to the Apple store to find a skin for it and then show that to him when he gets home! :rotfl2:

Off to make some eggnog pancakes!

Suzanne

Snerk! What college was that Elaine? Hmmm.... I bought my tickets through TD's website. The tickets were available for presale so I clicked on the presale link. That took me to a place to register at their website and from there I was able to make my purchase. I suppose not all venues are doing it the same way though. Yours were only $25.00?

I see London, I see France I see Apo.... okay not really, but oh my, nice Kimmar! Thank you! Actually I peeked in and saw him yesterday but I was in a gift wrapping induced coma like state and couldn't seem to think straight enough to post anything so I decided to just sit and look instead. :p Saw a cute pic of him yesterday. On the ice, bent over, holding something to his ear. The caption read: "taking a cell phone call during the early laps of the final 1500" ...and yeah, he did win the race. :p

Dopey kids throwing things... Little monsters.

Maybe I should go to the Apple store to find a skin for it and then show that to him when he gets home!
:rotfl: Ooh do it, do it!! :rotfl:

Karen, congrats on your weight loss!! That's so excellent!

Hee. A plane for a make up case?! Not a bad trade! :p Cam gave his to a girl from school. :teeth:

Howdy to TC and Lily... I've never seen Once Upon a Mattress, but I've always loved Carol Burnett! We'll have to check it out.

Pierogis and cookies! I want to go hang out at Lily's house!

With any luck today will be my last shopping day. Most of it will be spent in the grocery store stocking up on holiday and 16th birthday party supplies, but need to brave a couple of other stores while I'm out there. Eeek. I don't wanna!!

i'm going to be lazy and mooch off of Kimmie and Elaine's ketchup!! Ditto what they said! :teeth:

We finished our shopping at the yesterday and then came home, got Jarrod, went to get dinner and then went to see the lights down at the Boardwalk. It took us two hours just to get from 21st Street down just past 1st street! But the lights were worth it. Jarrod and Ethan just oohed and awed thorugh the whole thing (ok so Ethan was really yelling "wow" the whole way!)

I couldn't decided what to get my db and dsil so I bought them each business card holders with their monograms on them. My db's was easy CJD. But my DSIL if I used her initials with her maiden name it would have been BFD !!! :rotfl: So I decided to use her middle name!! I didn't think she wanted BFD on her business card holder. Actually, I'm not sure either one of them want these or need these but what do you get the people that can afford to buy a Burburry purse!!! So oh well, like it or give it to good will!! :)

I just finished filling out the paperwork for Jarrod's pediatric developmental assessment which is happening tomorrow. I just told him about it but I don't really know how to explain it. I have two choices "you are going to see a doctor because mommy thinks your strange" or "you are going to see the docotor becuase you just ain't right!" :rotfl: So I've opted to just say that the doctor just wants to talk to you and learn more about you.

gotta go and finish this !@#$%$#% tree. I swear this thing won't be done until next Christmas!!!!!!

Have a good one gang, i'll stop back by later!
:teeth: tara

Hey All,

Just got back from Church I got the most beautiful bracelet from Jane the Childrens Ministry Director today. Its silver with a dangle filligree heart and on oval silver pieces it says Believe, Strength and Courage. It also has very dainty pink clear beads, pearls, and silver nugget beads. I just love it and it was so special of her to think of me. I am so glad she didnt do something she was going to do at the Childrens Ministry Appreciation Lunch last week. She said she meant to single us out and thank us publiclly for all we do. I am SO glad she didnt. I wouldnt want hard feelings with anyone else who works with the ministry because they all work hard. We do what we do because we love it, we love working for her, its our way to serve the Lord, etc..... we dont do it to get acknowlgement. We know she appreciates us.

Elaine dont listen to what that site says at all. Catholics are christians just the same as everyone else. Not a heathen church at all.

Kimmie good luck at the stores today. I almost had to go to the bookstore but thankfully a friend has the book my eldest has to read during the break from school. I was not looking forward to shopping anywhere today LOL!!! Are you done wrapping yet? I havent even started. LOL I will probably ask dh to do it because he knows I hate to wrap. I dont mind the buying....hate the wrapping.

Nancy wow that sounds like a very nice check to be able to do that much on it. Woooo Hoooooo for you!! Thats wonderful!! Sorry about the long drive too and from though.

Well I think Im gonna call my friend to see if we can go pick up the book from her and then come home and take a nap. Didnt sleep too well last night.

I will checkin laters....

HUGS TO ALL!!! :grouphug:

Well poop, Luis went to go fix a computer for a friend... if he had gotten back just a wee bit earlier, we could've tried to see Narnia before his stupid Redskins game started

John, if we are home tonight, I might have to watch it. I love the way they thought about airing it so long before it was released :p

:rotfl: Suzanne, I think you should do it too! That is tooo funny! But a part of me would also love to play into the excitment on his part and just let him enjoy it!

Here ya go Kimmie Cedarville University
Don't mind sharing that. And of course y'all know full well that I don't care that a school is very Biblical... just bugs me when they like to think they are better than the rest.

Per Third Day's website though, they are $25... but no online ordering. I really have been digging and found no way to get tickets. Kind of annoying

LOL, Tara! I don't think I'd want those either! Of course my sister once bought me a bag for work... shortly before I married so it just has "Elaine" on it. That way the initials wouldn't be wrong. When in doubt for me though, I buy food for hard to buy family. Speaking of which, I need to see if Luis took care of his parents yet.
Not that I care all that much... they've turned down one too many invites to our home for me to think they even want to bother visiting us! So why do I care about Christmas for them if they ignore me? ;)

Sheeesh the grocery stores are a madhouse tonight. I went to go get a belt at Ross.....my pants are too big and I just couldnt take hiking them up anymore LOL.....and then to the grocery store just to ummmmm pick up stuff I forgot for tomorrow nights dinner. It was so nuts in there and I kept envisioning it getting worse as the week wears on that I went ahead and did the shop for the week including Christmas dinner. Got a nice big fresh turkey. I always way over buy the size of the turkey for our size family but I love having the leftovers. Dh's parents are kinda messing us up though for Christmas dinner. They want us to go to....get this.....Golden Corral.....for Christmas Lunch. Thats going to set cooking dinner off for a bit so we probably wont eat till late that night. I have to look and see what the cooking time is for the size turkey we bought. Just the thought of going to Golden Corral for Christmas Lunch skeeves me out. I wish they would have picked someplace different.

Narnia was GOOD!! Even with the "comic relief", we enjoyed it greatly.
Dave has never ready the books.
I got free tickets from buying Lever products, so we went with Fandango tickets in hand.
Went out to breakfast first.

Hope everyone has/had a great day.

We went and saw Narnia as well... I won out over football. Good movie and an excellent preview :teeth:

Sorry Karen, sometimes the thought of not cooking on a holiday really is good to me though. That's why I am going with my dad to my grandma's. Though I will be cooking on the 27th with my dad. I think we are only doing a turkey breast or the like though.

Nancy, glad you enjoyed the movie too. I thought there were really good parts in it, and I swear the Lion... I just wanted to reach out and hug him :goodvibes: He was the cutest one in the whole movie ;)

Speaking of kitties, it is snowing (again) and so they want some love. I suppose I'll have to curl up with them for a while :)

I love to cook for the holidays but rarely ever get to do so because we are usually running from pillar to post with family commitments. I just have to time dinner this year to allow for going out to lunch. Im just not crazy about the place they picked. Its a cheapie buffet type of deal. Not really my idea of a nice Christmas Lunch. More like going to the feeding trough.

Glad you got to see Narnia. I heard it was wonderful. Gonna wait until its out a couple of weeks and then use our free passes for it.
