Morning All,

HAPPY CHRISTMAS EVE EVERYONE!!!!

Anybody want two wild kids? They started the minute they got up this morning. I think its the Christmas Hypers. Eldest is now off at the Lords Gift House doing his community service for school and youngest is home.

I got quite a surprise last night. I was messing around on the computer around 2AM and checked my email. I got a message from Classmates.com that someone was trying to reach me. Its a person that I havent heard from in 18 years. She used to be my best friend. She stopped contacting me when her psych....she was dealing with the death of her sister.....told her to break contact with everyone she knew prior to her sisters death. Now I guess she wants to resume contact. Not sure yet what I will do.

Looking forward to going to church tonight. Its the first time I have been healthy enough to go to Chirstmas Eve Candlelight Service. The last two years I have been either in the hospital or home wickedly sick.

Well I guess I better get started getting dressed. I am still in my jammies. I have a couple of things to do today before we got to services.

HUGS TO ALL!!! :grouphug:

LOL, Tara! You always crack me up (in a good way of course)

Bethie, I am glad that you have your tree up! I bet it does look beautiful! I finally took a picture of mine last week. I was trying to upload imagest to imagestation and stupid thing crashed my IE again. Maybe I'll share them later!

Good luck Kimmar!

Karen, I'd just talk to her. Apparently her psych was a bit weird with saying that, so she was following docs orders. Never hurts to try to say hi again. She probably misses you.

Well we have service tonight and the trip to grandma's tomorrow. I hope you all have a wonderful weekend!

Merry Christmas :)

Good morning!!

Merry Christmas Eve!!

Yay for a tree up for Beth....and in the new place :hyper: Pictures of more than the tree I hope ::yes::

Enjoy having the kids around.....someday you will miss that ::yes::

We're headed out to breakfast and to go see King Kong.

You guys are the best!! :grouphug:

Morning!

I was the dumb yaya who decided to go shop for stocking stuffers after I got off work at 12:30 last night. Went to the one next to them all and didn't walk out until 2:30. Aaaack. And I didn't even get anything I wanted to for stepdad, so I have to go back out today!

A couple of my employees were really sweet and got me some smelly stuff from Victoria's secret. One of the ladies always smells so nice-she smokes, and when she comes back, she will put lotion on so people don't smell smoke. It's sooooo yummy smelling and I always commented about how good she smells. Now I can, too! :teeth: BTW, it's Love Spell. I don't go into VS because of the instant headache-but now I hav a reason to shop.

I need to make the shopping list for the rest of the stuff. I am making crabcakes with remoulade (one of our traditions), and I realize I'm missing several key ingredients.

Tara, mine have been hyped up all week! Neil's been pretending to be one of the kids from Narnia with his sword and shield and Kevin is running laps around the house. Oy!

Karen, glad you feel well enough to go to Candlelight tonight.

Kimmy, Ack, NYC on Christmas Eve? You ARE a glutton for torture. You're not driving in, are you?

Elaine, have a good time at Grandmas!

Nancy, let us know how King Kong is. The boys really want to see it, but I'm reserving judgement.

Beth, I went through all the marking down last night. Hope the day goes quickly!

I'll probably be back later, but if I'm not, Merry Christmas! I can't remember if there are any yaya's celebrating, but Happy Chanukah, too!

Suzanne

Off to Lakeland. MIL is being released from the hospital!!! SIL's car is acting up, so I'll be picking her up!:cool1: :cool1: :cool1:

Love Spell is Christin's favorite....she has some under the tree ;)

Yay!! for MIL being released from the hospital.
Good luck with all the errands, Suzanne.
I'll let you know about KK....but I don't have little kids anymore, so it is hard for me to judge.

Hi All,

Suzanne thats so wonderful that your MIL is being released from the hospital!! What a wonderful Cristmas present for you and for her!

We just got back from Walmart. I wanted to get a few things to do some crafts with the kids. My eldest saw this neat idea for making candle holders on Simply Smashing and he wants to do that. I also got a bunch of silk flowers to make an arrangement for the shelf with the urns on it. My mother loved flowers and since I cant keep a real plant alive to save my soul I thought I would do silk. I was really surprised Walmart wasnt really all that bad and we caught a cashier without a line so checkout was a breeze. We had a Mc Dees lunch and now we are just going to take it easy and do the crafts we bought. Dh is making Linguini with clam sauce for dinner but we probably wont eat that until we get home from services tonight. Dh has to take the turkey out and wash it so its ready for tomorrow.....glad hes doing it I hate that job LOL!!

I will checkin laters.

HUGS TO ALL!!! :grouphug:

Hey guys just popping to in to say Merry Christmas Eve!

And a big thanks to Suzanne for hooking me up with some Power Ranger shirts! Got them today! Perfecting timing. Thanks again Suzanne that was so sweet of you.

....my mission is to go into Soho (in NYC) to the Apple Store to purchase an iPod for my DS.....yes, I MUST be NUTS!!!

...it was wa-a-a-a-a-y easier than I thought! NO traffic on Rt 3, NO traffic in the Lincoln Tunnel, and NO traffic on the Henry Hudson Pkwy! AND, I got a spot right near the door! :cheer2:

How's this for a coincidence...
Yesterday my mom and her brother were discussing Christmas and how this was the third Christmas without their mom. While they were talking my uncle said that one of the things that reminded him most of his mother at Christmas was the poinsetta plant.

I hadn't heard about this conversation.

While I was at Food Lion a few minutes ago this very young looking manager type was headed past the registers as I was checking out. He looked at me, looked at the plant in his hand and turned around and handed it to me. I was shocked and he said "Merry Christmas". I stammered a thank you since I was really taken aback. (I think they were trying to get rid of the one last sad looking poinsetta they had left before they closed for the evening. It needs some water, but I expect that by tomorrow morning it will be be bright and perky).

So when I got home my mom told me about my uncle and the poinsetta. Uncle Rick is coming for Christmas brunch tomorrow. How cool is that??

tara

Tara, how cool!

MIL is home and resting. Her incision looks great, and I got to take a nap on the comfy new couch. Sent SIL with my car because she was really antsy to do it.

Unfortunately, since they'd only been in the house a few days before my MIL fell, they hadn't been shopping. good thing I brought a tray of baked ziti! After SIL picked her up, she stopped for a couple of microwavable things to get them through til Tuesday morning. I'll probably have 8 for dinner tomorrow! :cool1:

Kimmy, you must have paid the karma bill to get in and out easily! I'm sure Cam will be a happy man!

Off to Cracker Barrel to score a few stocking stuffers. We had a late lunch at McD's after leaving MIL's, so we're not hungry yet. I think I need a pot of coffee, because not one single present has been wrapped yet!

Suzanne

Tara...that was a great thing to happen for the holiday.

Suzanne....sending my movie review via PM...don't want to post spoilers.

Ooops, missed Deena's post, yay, they made it in time. Now I need to call a missing yaya and see if her toppers arrived. I'm betting the 2/3 will still be HUGE.

Tara, how neat about the pointsettia.

Thanks, Nancy!

Suzanne

Glad folks have been able to pop in.

My evening is going well...all except for the cleaning to do, the wrapping to do, and the kid who is barfing every five minutes  Yep, got one sick tonight. He doesn't act sick but his body is acting it!!

nancy...glad you got to see the movie and liked it.

Suzanne...good luck geting your stuff done!!

Okay, off to vacuum! Back later!

The 2/3 looks like it is just right and the other will fit Evan so it worked out perfectly! Thanks again!
