Morning, all.
Sorry I didn't get back later. MIL's surgery went well, Ed was surprise at the tiny bandage she had after what was explained to be happening. Yes, she'll be in the hospital for Christmas, but there is a silver lining in thiat-she won't be spending Christmas day focusing on Nancy being gone. She's itchy to get back to her nice new house!
I took the bull by the horns and called Stepdad. Instead of asking if he wanted to come, I asked what time would he be ready for me to pick him up for dinner. That worked. I made it early enough that I can take him over to Mom's gravesite and put some pointsettias out for her. She loved those. I had this idea last night of possibly bringing her a new year's hat and horn. Mom was the person at the New Year's Party who was getting everyone else into it, that's why it's apropos.
JRKaren, boy do I understand busy! Hope that things slow down for you soon.
Karen, woohoo, six days off. I'm there in January, have 4 vacation days and two personal days that HAVE to be used. Can't take them together, otherwise I would be jetting somewhere.
Amanda,

Todd's being a good boy for Santa, right?
Bethie, I know how much those movers cost around there-that IS a decent price! Yay!
Gotta get my tushie in gear. I don't have any food for dinner, still not sure what I'm making and figure I'll decide once I get to the butcher. They have fresh turkey breasts, so that is an option. It feels like a Saturday here and I don't know why.
Shhh, Ed's present arrived. I'm wrapping it in the delivery box to throw him off. Ironically enough, after I bought that Sirius system from Costco's website, I was in the warehouse the other day and they have the smaller system. Oh well, I'm keeping the bigger one-my overtime paid for it, I'm telling myself!
