Hello again everyone.

I don't want to scare Tara anymore. My hello and goodbye wasn't a final goodbye. I just didn't have time to type more.

And I don't have time to type more now either.

Will my life ever not be busy?

Good morning, everyone! Happy day before Christmas Eve!! Heading into work early cuz I need to stop at Target. Collecting quotes from movers too, and it looks like we just might be able to get someone to move the big stuff (furniture and freezer) next Wednesday for about $500. Yippeee!! So, I'm going to be doing some packing of essentials to get over there in the next few days. Linens for the beds and bath, clothing, some cooking and eating utensils, maybe even some food!! LOL!!

Gotta jet! Ya'll have a great day! :grouphug:

Good morning....Yay for moving, Beth....but what a busy time of year for that.

Got to get going here too....must grocery shop, do some cleaning and bake some desserts.

Morning Ya Yas!

Amanda, great to hear from ya! I am sure DD just loved the Mom at work time.

TC, sorry about the doc thing. Hate when that happens. Glad all is over for DS. Our DSs had theirs removed before braces so the work would not be disturbed with incoming. Glad our ortho took that route, otherwise they would have had the long surgery too probably.

Tara, sounds like you had a good event in spite of having to wait longer to commence the party.

Suzanne, prayers still for MIL and all involved. Good for you with that day off.

Bethie, happy moving! It sure sounds like you are having a busy time, but it also sounds like it is ok busy. Glad the crutches are parked. Be careful with your moving week.

JRKaren, hope yours is a good busy too.

Karen, good news about that holiday paycheck. It is nice that the kidlets want to be at camp. I think I would feel more relaxed about sending them if they are happy to be there.

I'm at work, have to be here for 1/2 day then I can go do whatever I want!

Morning, all.

Sorry I didn't get back later. MIL's surgery went well, Ed was surprise at the tiny bandage she had after what was explained to be happening. Yes, she'll be in the hospital for Christmas, but there is a silver lining in thiat-she won't be spending Christmas day focusing on Nancy being gone. She's itchy to get back to her nice new house!

I took the bull by the horns and called Stepdad. Instead of asking if he wanted to come, I asked what time would he be ready for me to pick him up for dinner. That worked. I made it early enough that I can take him over to Mom's gravesite and put some pointsettias out for her. She loved those. I had this idea last night of possibly bringing her a new year's hat and horn. Mom was the person at the New Year's Party who was getting everyone else into it, that's why it's apropos.

JRKaren, boy do I understand busy! Hope that things slow down for you soon.

Karen, woohoo, six days off. I'm there in January, have 4 vacation days and two personal days that HAVE to be used. Can't take them together, otherwise I would be jetting somewhere.

Amanda, :wave2: Todd's being a good boy for Santa, right?

Bethie, I know how much those movers cost around there-that IS a decent price! Yay!

Gotta get my tushie in gear. I don't have any food for dinner, still not sure what I'm making and figure I'll decide once I get to the butcher. They have fresh turkey breasts, so that is an option. It feels like a Saturday here and I don't know why.

Shhh, Ed's present arrived. I'm wrapping it in the delivery box to throw him off. Ironically enough, after I bought that Sirius system from Costco's website, I was in the warehouse the other day and they have the smaller system. Oh well, I'm keeping the bigger one-my overtime paid for it, I'm telling myself!

Suzanne

Hi all... had a rough night with sleep. For some reason I kept dreaming bad things... a lot about my sister. Really frazzled me even though they weren't real. Fortunately once the last one started to get bad, friends popped into my dream to make me feel better :)

Nancy, good luck with everything today! I think I am in the mood to bake mysefl. Just not sure what yet ;)

Yay for days off w/ little loss of pay!

JRKaren, I do hope your life slows down a little for you soon

I admit I am tired, because when I read your post, Bethie, I thought you said you had quotes for movies  I am glad you found a good mover. They really helped save us at one point when we moved with the washer & fold out couch.

Lily enjoy the half day off!

Suzanne, I think that was wise and sweet of you to tell your stepdad that he is coming. I think it will do you all good. My thoughts are with you this year.

I might have to try to go back to sleep. The dreams were just too real and kept me up off and on from about 3:30 this morning. Of course I have kitchen stuff to do as well... but I have time to do it all since there isn't much else I have to do between now and midnight tomorrow :)

Hi gang....where's the smiley of the person dragging their rearend with two hands. We went to get dinner and then went to Wally World. It was crowded but not too bad. I broke down and bought lil debbie snacks for my goons today. I told them I was a grinch and they wouldn't get anything from me!! okay, so I'm a liar besides!! Anway, I was up until 2 am wrapping Christmas presents. I started with just the ones I needed for school today and that escalated into wraping almost everything.

I also realized that Jarrod is getting way too much stuff :teeth: . I really didnt' think i had that much, but as I began pulling stuff out of all the hiding places I relaized that I had way more than I had planned. Oh well!!

Okay, this has taken me an hour to do, so I'm going to hit submit and come back later to do my ketchup!!

hugs,
tara

James is doing well this morning. He was still bleeding at 1:30AM, so he called us on his cell phone (he was downstairs in the family room, we were upstairs) and Sue used the tea bag trick to finally stop the bleeding. He's not in any pain and, at the moment, is in the basement playing online computer games. He should be as good as new in no time.

Sue is working today. I am not. Thankfully she doesn't have to go back to work until Tuesday.

Sorry to hear about your bad dreams, Elaine. I rarely remember my dreams. I guess that is a blessing as I remember having some real doozies when I was a kid. Now real life is much scarier than any nightmares. :earseek:

Have a great Christmas Eve Eve everyone. :hourglass

Morning!

I am feeling much better. Now I am just hoping that none of the boys or Junior get this bug.

Gotta clean house. Everyone is coming here Christmas Day.

Hi all... been taking it easy. I hate to sound wussy but those dreams did shake me up very badly. Just far too real for my tastes! And the sinus thing isn't any better, but I'm not shocked since I hardly got any sleep last night. So... at least y'all know why I am quiet today.

I need to work in the kitchen and clean up though... try to decide if I am ambitious enough to roll dough out.

Tara, I am with you on dragging around. I hope you can rest well tonight!

John, you are lucky to not remember dreams! I've had the joy of remembering mine all my life ;) Enjoy the day off and I hope James keeps on improving! I bet he's looking forward to eating real food soon too (okay I know I did after I had mine removed)

Good luck Sherry! I hope the boys don't get sick either! Stinks being sick around the holidays!

I'll check back later on this afternoon. Will be cleaning and working on the scarf. Then deciding if I feel like going to the store for something I might need on Christmas Eve (tights to wear under a skirt... so at least I could go to CVS and avoid crowds)

Catch y'all later!

Hey All,

Been kinda a quiet day. Waiting on my eldests meds to get here. They were supposed to be here by noon but with it being the day before a holiday it could be any time today. I cant go anywhere anyway because this morning my car felt funny while I was driving it. When I got home I noticed the tire is almost flat. I have a nail in the tire..ugh! Dh will have to change it tonight when he gets home. He is going to pick up the kids for me and pick up din din. I am so tired but I know the minute I would lay down for a nap the Fedex guy will show up LOL!

Elaine sorry you had such nasty dreams. Must be the week for it. My coworker said she had some really scary dreams the other night too.

Suzanne glad to hear that everything went okay for MIL. She will continue to be in my prayers.

Sherry glad you are feeling better. Hope the boys and junior dont get it. Not a nice time at all to be sick.

Boy do I need to make an appointment with an ophalmologist after the first of the year. Its getting harder and harder for me to make out the letters on a computer screen and reading is a joke. Ive been using store bought readers but those arent even cutting it anymore.

grrr... slow DIS...

Just popping in to say hi! I finished most of the scarf but will add fringe tomorrow. Still very sleepy today. Hopefully I can stay up late enough tonight so I don't mess it up for tomorrow.

Hope you can get to the eye doc soon, Karen. I'll probably be due around spring :)

Ooohhhh, oooohhhh....... I just this very minute finished my invoices!!

Now to finish wrapping presents and cleaning the house before tomorrow night....... :rotfl2: :rotfl2: (I slay myself sometimes! :teeth: )

Merry Christmas everyone!! :goodvibes

Good luck sleeping tonight, Elaine.

House is clean....told Dave he had to sit one place and not move :rotfl:
Desserts are all done.....I'm ready!!
I think we are going to a movie tomorrow and out to breakfast.

have a good evening everyone.
And thank you for all the cards :)

Yay for you Pam! So glad you got it all done... but good luck with the Christmas stuff you need to take care of :)

LOL, Nancy, good luck to you too with Dave ;)

For all those not checking in over the weekend... Merry Christmas to y'all! Thank you for your friendship and good times! I hope y'all have a great holiday :goodvibes:

Hi gang, still no time to do proper ketchup. I'm headed to bed soon. Was wrestling with a 5 year old pita all night. too much stress for him and too little sleep for me!!

I did want to say to JRKaren...thank you for clearing that up for me!!! Come back when you can stay longer!!

good night gang!
tara

Whew!! Tree is up at the new place and looks beautiful!! Will have Dave take a pic of it tomorrow in the daylight. Even took a couple of loads of boxes and pulled into and out of the garage all by myself!!! Haven't had a garage since I was a teenager, so that was quite a feat! Gotta head into work early tomorrow, to start the markdowns for the big sale that starts on Monday, so I'm aiming for my pillow as soon as this load of laundry is dry.

Pam, I'm so glad you got your invoicing done!! Heck, my mom used to wrap everything on Christmas eve after we all went to bed (there were 6 of us, too!!), so I'm sure you'll be able to get it all done tomorrow. I have faith in your abilities!!

In case time runs short between work and church tomorrow and I'm not able to get back here, I just want to say that I am so blessed by the gift of friendship I've received from my Ya Ya family. Ya'll are the bestest bunch of sistahs and bothers a person could ever ask for! Thank you, God bless and Merry Christmas!! :grouphug:

....my mission is to go into Soho (in NYC) to the Apple Store to purchase an iPod for my DS.....yes, I MUST be NUTS!!!

Good Morning!!

Got the house all cleaned. Now I just need to lock Junior & the boys up so they won't mess everything up. :teeth:

Going to Junior's aunt's house for an early dinner, then to the Candlelight Service at church, then to my mom's house.

Thank y'all for all the laughs, hugs, and friendship. Y'all are the best. Merry Christmas!! :grouphug:
