Morning Ya Yas!

Those famous Ya Ya pics are so darling! :lmao:

TC, OMG! :earseek: You are such a bad botha.

Sherry, glad you got to nap even a little. Enjoy your day. Yay on the new cell phone. Are the guys fighting over who gets to carry theirs?

Suzanne, oh I think Ed is probably right. Best to be safe there, but if the germies are in the air some snuggling probably wouldn't make it any worse. Glad you are doing ok though. Hope it never happens again.

Kimmie, love the kitchen pic. Lovely re-do.

Tara, ok for the doc apts. Hmmm aiming thing huh? I don't think they ever get that.

Elaine, clean that off in the really warm weather. Enjoy your day today.

Liz, sorry about that car thing. You know there's always a "Sunday" drive (or Saturday one) that may be in the future. Keepon putting those steps in. Hope the sticker shok on the repair isn't too bad.

Went to doc yesterday. Meds changed as the swallowing thing is not gettng better, rather seems to be progressing in the wrong direction. He doubled the meds and we'll see where that takes me. I don't like the side effects, but I am tolerating so far. One of them is headache of the all day variety. Oh well, another month of experimentation.

Everyone else, hihowareya?
:sunny:

Life's Lessons of a 17 Yr. Old #7,895: When Mom and Dad tell you to go get several extra car keys made after you have misplaced your spare set do so. Then - when you look your keys in your *running* Mustang at 7:05 am, you will not be standing out in the driveway with your Mommy (who is wearing her Tinkerbell jammies) trying to use a coat hanger to jimmy the lock, which of course doesn't work.....

And you will have not missed 1 hour of school waiting for AAA to make a call and take 15.3 seconds to break into your car........

 Just lost a long post!!

I'll try to recreate, but you know how that is. Not the same the second time around.

Dave is working from home today and I was up earlier than usual

Pam, sorry about that. I found that I am keeper of all spare keys. Still have one of Christin's car and apartment.

KIm....love the kitchen. The tile looks wonderful!!
I am painting bathroom #2 today.
Dave leaves for a trip on Sat. so tile and carpet hunting are off for another week.
Do I have enough courage to try doing carpet and tile at once?? Not sure. Will have to think on that one.

Suzanne...take it easy. Sounds like you have a great nurse. Hope Kevin feels better.
I am ordering the camera from Costco....maybe today.

:rotfl: Tara, have to agree with Lily. Not sure if they ever fully master that aiming thing ;)

Lily, hope the dosage helps.

Sherry....yay on sleeping in. Feel better this morning?

Elaine...I agree, wait for warmer weather to work outside. Take a relax/fun day. Gotta take those when you can.

:( Sorry about the car, Liz. Hope it is an easy fix.

I know I missed something.... to everyone else.

Oh Lord John is beginning to sound like Alan!!!

You say that like it's a bad thing. :confused3
Besides, y'all can always use another Alabama accent. :)
(That is what you meant, right? ;) )

Ethan's trip to the urologist yielded one diagnosis....the boy needs to learn to aim!! Any of you boys want to come help me train him!! :lmao:

Toss a piece of toilet paper in there and tell him to sink the battleship :teeth:

We had lunch at a restaurant in downtown Norfolk called The Freemason Abbey.

They are probably great cooks since they all have their own aprons.

And I'm suspecting there are lots of fun pictures of Karen now. :)

:rotfl: at Luis and Lainey's "genetic experiment"

Good morning Y'all-Y'alls!

okay, so I was hungry. I went into the kitchen, but noticed the mess on the table. I cleaned it off, swept up the debris underneath and then sat back down. I get settled in and realize that I didn't get food!

Love those meds-they fry my brain! :lmao:

Fence estimator will be here in an hour. After that, I think I'll get Ed to take me out. I had hoped to go to my store and give notice today, but it looks like it will wait another day or two. They didn't get my fax on Sunday, but have the application now.

Suzanne

Okay Kimmie was that me you quoted? Looks like the type of typo I would make

And OMG, I *love* your dining table!!!!!! Where did you find it?
I think I am about to give up on my table and just refinish it myself. Is that painted black or stained black on the bottom? Right now my table is painted white with a lighter stain on the top... I could easily change that to black

LOL! I don't remember for sure. Might've been Liz. :)

The table. Thank you! :) It's from Ashley. It's a cherry top and everything else is painted black. It has a slight "distressed" look to the paint, which I love!

Nancy, your house sounds like mine... painting, tiling, carpet, etc. It's exhausting. Fun, exciting to see the changes, but tiring. :)

Lily.... thinking of you and hoping you begin to feel better soon.

Tummy aches are crummy... glad you're feeling better today, Sherry.

How was the fence estimate Suzanne?

Crummy ketchup but I can't seem to get my brain to wake up this morning.

Have a good YaYa day!

Wow, when you serve food even the table looks distressed? Now THAT's harsh!

kimmy, our old table was like yours. Cherry top with tiles, though. Ed had an uncanny knack for weeding out ANY furniture I bought with ex, even if I picked it out. :lmao: So my brand new table that had room for 8 went away and the table that didn't expand stayed.

Still waiting on the fence lady. Played war and go fish with Kevin-he won both!

Suzanne

:rotfl: Alan.

Small proud mommy brag. The boys have been playing outside with a neighbor boy. They came in to eat lunch, and the friend went home to get lunch. Well, he came back with a cold pop-tart and a granola bar. (His mom forgot to grocery shop) Jared immediately asked if he could make him a sandwich to take out to him. :) :) And went in the kitchen and made him a big sandwich and took a Capri Sun out to him to drink. :) :) I know it isn't much, but it made me feel so good to have him just volunteer on his own to do something so nice for his friend. :)

OK, you may now go back to your regularly scheduled DIS'ing. :teeth:

Congrats; it always makes a parent proud to see one of their kids doing good.

Brag away. ;)

:p Scary huh?! :p

Ed had an uncanny knack for weeding out ANY furniture I bought with ex, even if I picked it out.
:rotfl: Awww... that's really sorta sweet! :goodvibes He wanted noooo reminders! :p

Sherry, actually that IS much! That shows what a kind, loving and considerate soul he is! It was a very thoughtful and mature thing to do! Go Jared!

I cannot seem to get motivated today! I hate that. :guilty:

Pissy little mood here. Havne't slept well lately and stupid me tried to run errands today while it wasn't rainy. Don't do that when you are tired

Suzanne, Hugh Laurie is a huge reason why I watch House. Though initially I watched it because I saw Robert Sean Leonard. I've always loved him!

Morning Kimmar!

Sherry, i am glad that you got to sleep that much longer. Very sweet what Jared did! It's nice to hear when kids are that considerate of another!

Yuck Lily, I do hope that he gets the meds figured out soon!

Sorry about that Pam. That's why we have the spare and the valet keys in the top drawer in our kitchen. Keeps them safe and we are easily able to get to them.

Sorry about the post Nancy... I've had that happen too many times lately. I'm now copying everything before I submit  good luck with the bathroom though!

Alan's full of something today. And nah, your sweet little 'Bama accent is good enough for us :)

Crap, can I pretend I am on the same kind of drugs too Suzanne? That's the stuff I do on a daily basis

Kimmie thanks for letting me know. I'll have to be nosey about the cost sometime soon. But I don't mind my table. The colors just don't match. I might just try to do this on my own. It can't look worse than it does now, right? :teeth:
Oh and since my table is already distressed after almost 6 years of use (bought it when Luis got the apartment before we married), I don't have to do that either

anywho...

hey I think I mostly caught up now!

Kimmie, join the club... no motivation to cook or clena here now *sigh*

Hey gang,

Haven't had time to post much. Tho some of you did see my post from this morning!! :lmao: at least the rest of my day hasn't been that bad!!

The kitchen is beautiful, my cooking distresses everyone around me (just ask Jarrod "you always burn everything")

I wish I had good drugs :teeth: then maybe that could explain my shoe problem today!!

good idea about the spare key...my mom has my spare key.

pissy errands...that doesn't sound like fun...would that have been a run to the plumbing department??

yep the bama accent was the reason for the remark!

men and aim....i guess two words that don't go well together, my luck everything would be thrown in the toilet to be sunk!!

awww...wonderful kids!! That's a nice thing to know about your child!! (and good mom for having good food in teh house to make the neighbor mom jealous! :teeth: )

gonna head home soon. sloppy joes for dinner. yummy!!

later gators!!

tara

Howdy.

Fence lady came. Dunno how 600 dollars in fence becomes a 1900 installation quote, but hey, I'm not the expert. That said, we're going to get a few more quotes. We may end up back at plan A. We buy the stuff and the guy from the home show installs for 400 or 500 bucks. Still come out ahead that way.

I can share my drugs, lol. Not only do I have the percocets that the doc prescribed last week, my gyn prescribed Vicodin (can't take those) and vascular gave me another prescription for the percocets! I'm taking half pills except at bedtime because of the nausea.

Still waiting here on the reference checks. She got my application, now I wait. I wanna give notice while I'm off from work... :teeth: ! Then I won't have to hear the full two weeks of ranting and raving.

Lainey, like I said, I saw the one show and was impressed. I'm hoping to catch an episode of "The Shield" while I'm home. Michael Chiklis has always reminded me of Ed. I used to watch Commish, and whenever Tony would get that evil gleam in his eye, he looked just like Ed!

Tara, we never seem to have an aiming problem. Probably because we let them train by sitting, then they graduated to standing when ready. They KNOW that momma's not happy when they miss, so they clean up after themselves!

Sherry, that was awful sweet of Jared!

Having one of my dinners from the session tonight. Jill raved about this dish, so I'm looking forward to it. Honey Rosemary chicken. It was the easiest dish to assemble. She's also telling me she NEEDS the recipe from the Miso Salmon, so I have to grab that this week.

I'll be back later. I've been really good and sitting here, but Ed's napping next to me, so I can't really put my legs the way I want, lol.

pssst, my foot isn't huge anymore-it's almost the same size as the other one again. Yay! won't last, but nice to see for now!

suzanne

Suzanne...Jarrod has always done well in the aiming dept. I guess Ethan is a little too young for the whole aiming thing! I try to show him and he smacks as if that thing is something precious to him :confused3 :lmao:

just poppoing in to say hi!!

tara

Been one of those nights... kind of doing a drive by...

'nite all :wave2:

Hi All....last whine form me for a while I hope!!!! The car is NOT looking good at all.....3K to get a rebuilt tranny...I could have only wished it was just a battery issue.

So, we are trying to figure out if it is worth it...or is it time to just lease a Honda as they have some really good deals right now. Only problem with that...we have to get the loan for the house still...which really should not be a problem, but we would rather not have a brand new car lease on there at this point..... :furious: :furious: :furious: :furious: :furious:

I will bet my new attitude at some point....hopefully sooner, rather than later....

Mad love....I will check back once I find a better mood. But on a good note, I am really enjoying my job!

:)

Late check in here....been another busy day. 5 loads of wash, a shift at the store, led a make and take for 7 mentally-retarded kids, packed the suitcase for the weekend, and even made a batch of brownies! Had to skip choir practice, but I figure I'm not missing much since we will be away on Sunday. Really looking forward to this bell festival and getting away for a bit! Planning to share some real-life hugs with Tara and Co. too!!

Speaking of whom......How did you manage to luck out with 2 such wonderful boys, Miss Tara??!! Sounds like the fun never stops with "Mr. Complimentary" and "Bullseye" in the house!!

Suzanne, I can't count the number of times I've entered a room to get something and ended up cleaning or straightening up and totally forgot what I came for! Keeping the prayers and PD flowing here for a quick recovery for ya. Send me the Vicodin--I can't handle the Percoset! Good luck with the fencing and giving notice.

Kimmie, the kitchen is beautiful!! I really like that tile, too! Pay no attention to Alan's distressing remarks--he's just jealous cuz you HAVE a table!

Glad to hear you are feeling better today, Sherry. And what a wonderful gesture Jared made!! Reminds of of something I read....."when I was hungry, you gave me to eat" Methinks your young man is on the right track, for sure.

Feel better soon, Lainey! Spring is coming with warm breezes and lots of sunshine, for ya!! Pollen, too, but let's not think about that. Tomorrow is peak day for the cherry blossoms in DC, so I'm betting things will be bursting into bloom in your neck of the woods any day, now.

Liz, that just stinks about your car!! I, too, am hoping it's an easy fix for ya and your weekend doesn't get busted. How's the new job going?!

Nancy, can you get much done around the house when Dave works from home? Carpet and tile at once?! Sounds like a big OUCH in the wallet!

Hope the increased meds help, Lily. I can't imagine what you've been going thru, but I know it's been terribly difficult and disheartening, for you.

I probably missed somebody........believe me, it wasn't intentional! Heading for my pillow now! G'night and God bless! :grouphug:

Awww, Liz sneated!! Sorry the car is so sick. Couldn't have happened at a better time--NOT!! glad the job is going well, but what a bummer about the car.

Just wanted to pop in and say don't be jealous because I'm so talented (and if you don't know why I'm saying that go back and look at my pictures).
