Hi y'all! Feeling kind of yucky today... allergies (mold) and sinus stuff are getting to me.

Tina, you sneated before. Like Sherry, we never had finals until January. I think my school would be around the 16th or so... they usually had a 3 day week with the finals week right after the holiday.

Suzanne, the singing schedule isn't too bad. Regular church on the 24th, midnight mass and then Christmas Day. I have to get everything ready for the musicians by the end of this week.
Good luck with the vascular issues... I know they can be a real pain and bother for you.

Todd, I'll have to look at our pics again. I forgot to ask Luis, but he is in a meeting all day long... and won't be home until about 10PM tonight. We'll see if I remember :p

Rose Mary, I do hope your tummy settles down for lunch. Sounds yummy!!!!! I love that place. If I felt up to going that far, I would go to mine today as well :teeth:

Lily, I hope you find time to relax as well. Do we get to see your little sweet potato?
Isn't that charge for the towels like $6 or something. I know they will bring you more of those, but they always charge. Never found that they will bring more bedding even for a charge... maybe they ought to change that.

Alan.. I figured as a good strong baptist you were happy to give up your whole Sunday for church ;)

Did y'all miss me? I've been away from the internet (and the DIS) for a week. I'm sitting in Orlando International Airport waiting for my sold out flight back to Cleveland. I guess I'm lucky to have a seat on the plane. Every flight to Cleveland today is booked solid (according to what I overheard from the gate agent).

I had a wonderful time at WDW (as usual). I spent loads of time with goofy4tink, KristaTX and KayTX, TLinden16 (aka Jellyrolls Karen), and bumped into CrazyBoutDisney and her DH DaveH on the way out of Epcot this morning. The weather started out COLD but eventually warmed up. Everything was wonderful.

A funny story. I stayed at the Dolphin and was looking forward to scoring a few bars of that wonderful oatmeal soap. I dutifully left a tip for mousekeeping each day and yet not one single extra bar of soap ever appeared. I did get an extra facial soap bar (even though the unopened box was right there on the vanity). I cannot believe that I didn't get a single extra bar. Good thing that KristaTX doesn't like the stuff. She got a bar each and every day. I guess that the mousekeepers in the east wing are more generous with the soap.

I heard a couple of ladies leaving Epcot a couple of nights ago who were complaining to each other that IllumiNations is old and that it should be changed. I nearly fell over. I wanted to start up a "conversation" with them, but decided that I was at WDW and that I should leave the controversy to the DIS. For the rest of the trip, the running joke was <fill in the blank> is OLD and should be replaced.

That's all for now. Gotta finish my coffee and Cinabon. Yum.

Glad to see you had a good time, TC.

And as long as Sue doesn't say that you are old and need replacing, all is fine!

....sounds like you had a great time.....

John, glad you had a good time! I would have loved to talk to those ladies about how "old" Illuminations was ;) Do they still do the "Let There Be Peace on Earth" at the end for the holidays? I loved that :)

Sorry about that soap too. I've never had them not give me an extra bar as long as I took the bar away or used it. In fact I just opened up a bar for my shower today. I like using them now and then :teeth:

Church stuff is done! Now I just have to decide what I want to eat for supper....

Just got home from the eye doc a bit ago. What fun it was to drive home in the dark, rain, and dilated eyes......NOT! :earseek:

John, glad you had a good time.

Lily, can't wait to see pics of your sweet potato.

Rose Mary, hope the tummy calmed down and you were able to enjoy CF.

That's all I can remember right now. My eyes are killing me and I've had a headache all afternoon/evening that I can't rid of. :rolleyes1

Sherry, yuck on the eyes dialated... pity it wasn't earlier when it was just dark out! I hate that part of eye appts. Fortunately I don't need that every time I go.

Tired... off to bed :wave2:

*peeks in again*

Thought I'd follow up my :wave2: now that I have a moment to think about it. I've barely been on the DIS but to lurk in so long I won't even attempt a ketchup for a while yet but here's hoping everyone's well.

As a couple of you caught, I've abandoned the hallowed halls of Yale for somewhere a little warmer (and a lot less full of ... *cough* ... really unpleasant people). It was a tough decision to reach but it had to be done (for my sanity if nothing else), and fortunately for me I made the decision at the perfect time to get a job I'm really loving. So while picking up and moving again so soon was, shall we say, less than enjoyable, things are settling down again. Still crazy-busy (especially with the holidays), but I can safely say the word 'miserable' no longer applies to me. :rotfl:

Hopefully there'll be a little more DIS time in my near future but I felt like I should give YaY'all an update considering how supportive you were of ProjectYale in the first place and I figured some of you might be wonderin' what became of me.

Morning!

I feel so much better now that my eyes are back to normal. :teeth: That sucked.

Caroline, so good to see you pop in again. Glad to hear you have a job you love and that things are settling down a bit for you. :)

Elaine, I wish I could've made the appt. earlier. I had to wait until nephew was gone. And wouldn't you know, he left early yesterday. :rolleyes1

Hi everyone - hope you don't mind me posting before I ketchup....

Well the feeling of "oh my god - I'm running out of time before Christmas" has set in....tree not up yet - decorations done - so far Harley is cooperating.....no cards written.....and only 2 gifts bought!!

I ordered the ipod Nano for Chris from Apple and got it engraved with his initials. Thought I had a good comparable cost gift for Alyssa - found a nice coat at LL Bean....waited too long - it's out of stock.....now I'm stumped!! Why is is that those that ask for nothing as so hard to buy for?

Pretty good week so far - Chris has been staying after school to make up work and do extra credit. Alyssa has been home since Monday - has exams Thurs and Friday then home again Monday for break.

I have a meeting at my office at 10am then hoping to get some shopping done for my friend and her kids - I'm going with her to court tomorrow. She has not found an apartment yet - I think she is going to ask her ex-father in law if he will let her stay in the house till the school year ends.

OK - that's my check in....please apply hugs - cheers - smiles and grins where they are needed - catching up on reading posts now - be back later.....

Paula--Wow..Good Luck with everything..I hate that 'I still need to get someone something for Christmas' feeling...I got Amanda's IPOD from Macmall.com last year & I just checked their site & they have free fm transmitter, free case, free engraving & free shipping(NOT sure where a rebate might apply though)...

Sherry--Glad you're feeling better... :wave2:

Caroline-- :wave2: ..so, where'd you move to? Or is it Atlanta like your sig says?

tara--:duck:

Elaine--:duck:

kimmar-- :wave2:

Alan-- :wave2: ..lifts? :tilt:

John--Glad you had a good trip!

Lily--Glad all is right! I hate when the babies make a mess on the floor.

Rosemary-- :wave2:

Where in the world is my cat? Haven't seen her since yesterday.. :confused3
Must be hiding

Good morning gang,

I was not up to posting yesterday. I'm still feeling crappy...I may have to break down and go to the doctor soon. ugh!!

After looking at all of the Todd/Amanda pics...I decided I needed to get my pictures up and captioned. I'm working on the captioning. I hope to have it done by this afternoon.

Today is Wacky Hair day so I have my bangs spiked straight up. I have 4 small pony tails iin odd spots around my head. I even have one braided. A guy in 7-11 actually laughed in my face when he saw me. He was a bit embarassed because he didn't mean to LOL at me! :rotfl: I hope my students appreciate it!

I went to my Credit Union yesterday to talk to them about a home equity loan for my DVC purchase and she said even if my credit rating was really lousy I could still get a HE loan with a cheaper rate than what Disney is going to give me for my DVC. So that is good news!!

kids are here...gotta go scare them...I'll do proper ketchup later.

tara

...mo'nin'...don't this look YUMMY???!?!?

Morning Ya Yas!

Caroline, Great to hear from you. I'm glad you are moving in a positive direction for you. I look forward to having you chat with us again!

TC, glad you enjoyed. Too bad about the soap. What's with that?

Paula, good to hear that Chris is working at it. Good luck getting the stuff done before holidays.

Sherry, driving that way wouldn't be too bad if your were out on the unlit roads trolling for roadkill.

Elaine, hope you are feeling better today. If it's mold allergies, I'm sure this weather is not helping at all.

I started this before starting work and need to post up already. It's been sitting here too long. Have a great day all!

There are some things going on at work so I am dashing in for a quick Howdy.

Howdy

Tara, like Todd, I too believe a pic would be appropriate today. ;)

Morning all! Still stuffy, but getting by...

Caroline, I am sorry that things weren't all that pleasant for you up at Yale! I can imagine Altanta would be a bit more friendly there ;) I am so glad you have a good job that you love now! That is awesome!!! I can't wait to hear more details of your past months! And btw, what's the forecast for Christmas ;)

Sherry, it's always nice to get the vision back isn't it? I also had a hard time looking at a computer when I got back from my last visit! Wouldn't it figure too, that you plan for a later day only to have the nephew leave early. It always happens that way for me as well (plan for one thing and the other happens ;))

Paula, have you tried Land's End or (oddly enough) Victoria's Secret? I also know that JC Penny's had a really good selection of similar coast as well as Macy's
Here is a similar one available in camel
http://www.landsend.com/cd/fp/prod/...l?CM_MERCH=PAGE_69119&sid=4658132196330127090
I've really had good luckw ith Lands End as well as LLBean

Todd, check in the closets and under the bed... mine seem to hide a lot more when it is cold out ;)

Tara, I would love to see a pic of you like that! I bet it is funny!
And yep, HE loans are the way to go with financing DVC if you need to! We did that and it worked out fabulously!

That does look yummy Kimmar! Make enough for all of us? :teeth:

Lily, you are right... mold allergies this time of year are rough! Fortunately it seems to stay all in my head and throat... as long as it doesn't go into my lungs, I am good :)

I better get moving :wave2:

Yes, they still do "Let There Be Peace On Earth". And I got an extra special treat. There was a young girl at the Amercian Pavillion pin cart who wanted to sing that particular song to the CM there. I overheard this young lady sing the entire song and, when she finished, the CM and I applauded her. I would not be surprised to see her in the Candlelight Processional choir some day.
