Okay, so I listened to Alan... my tree is totally done now. I have to put the gifts under the tree but nothing big.

Sherry, yuck on the flooding. I don't think we had any of that in my neighborhood... but then again we normally don't. A bit more west of me though, usually gets it pretty bad. That's the poor area that always gets flooded and then has a major freeze. I feel for them!

Rose Mary, I had no idea how bad a gall bladder attack was! I was told my cat was probably in a ton of pain, but I couldn't see it :( That is something I hope I never have to experience then! I heard that y'all were supposed to get a bit colder there. I hope it won't be too bad for y'all.

Howdy Kimmar!

Nothing too exciting here. We did stay home all day. I had a desire for CPK, but didn't feel like heading out to a mall. Tomorrow we have our normal church stuff. Fortunately that will be the last time we have to do two services in a day until the 24th. I imagine we'll wind up doing three in 24 hours then ;)

::yes:: ::yes::

:cold: here, too. :guilty:

I have to get ready for Church and then an 80th Birthday Party for my aunt and her husband.

I wrapped for almost 3 hours last night. :faint: Still have more to do. I also wrapped for 1.5 hours the other night. I hate to wrap.

Good news is that my Christmas shopping is done and I am just waiting on a couple of packages to arrive! :woohoo:

Rosemary, I never had anything [pain] like what I had Friday night. I am guessing gallbladder but I only matched up a couple of the symptoms from my query on the internet. I'm okay now -- I'll just have to wait and see if this happens again and then get to the doctor. We ate at an Italian restaurant down in Pittsburgh and I know that's what triggered the attack.

Everyone take care, stay warm, and have a great day!! :goodvibes

:sunny: Good morning.....

I just typed - a really long post - hit enter by mistake and lost it... :confused3 ....trying again.....

Chris counselors appt went well on Friday - he brought home a book to study for the ASVAB (Armed Services Vocational Apptitude Battery). I am starting to think that this may be just the right thing for Chris - since he was little he would always go from not knowing something to knowing it completely - then bored and wanting to go on to the next thing - of course that does not happen in school so I think his boredom has turned to apathy.I think the military may provide a constant challenge and stimulation - the grand anventure that he so desperately seeks - in a structured environment. And I did ask - his counselor said that his test scores will qualify him for jobs - and that he needs to put down "non-combat" . He wants me to call to make an appt with a recruiter for him this week.

Friday night watched a movie with Alyssa and her girlfriend - we have somewhat of a tradition of watching independant films....so Friday's night it was Thumbsucker......um - lets just say I don't reccomend it.... :confused3

Yesterday went to Walmart and grocery shopping with Jeffrey - in my world that qualifies as a date..... :goodvibes - made turkey pot pie for dinner and watched Cars last night - :happytv:

:woohoo: Elaine - glad the tree is done - will there be pics? How is the weather there??

:wave2: Quick Hi to Kimmar...

Rosemary....what went in the crockpot? Are you feelin' Christmassy yet? :santa:

:teleport: Sherry - lots to do for you today - hope it goes well.

:flower3: Pam - are you feeling better? Any decorations yet??

Suzanne - :stir: I hope your soiree (sp?) was fun!!

Lily - toss a potato pierogi over here please.

Not sure what my plans are for today....working now... :surfweb: started off with a folded filter in the coffee pot....so I'm drinking sludge....but it's Starbucks sludge - I'll cope. I'm working till 2pm - Jeffrey working all day - Alyssa's friend is in a choral group and they have a Christmas concert today - I may go with her.

And might I mention that I am getting excited about my trip next weekend?

how fun does this look??

I hope everyone enjoys their day......

No time to catch up...just back from vacation around 1am this morning. Had a wonderful trip. It was great to meet Tara and her family.

Later!

Pam - you should ahve called me - I love to wrap.... :thumbsup2

:Pinkbounc Welcome home to Amanda - Todd and family!!!! :Pinkbounc

Hey gang.. :wave2:

First off I would like to say its good to be back but what an abrupt change in weather...It was 87 the first time I got gas & almost 27 the last time...them shorts were pretty cool...It was nice to meet up with Tara & her family, regretted being to tired to hang on friday night with them, I think me & Jared got along fine, we both seemed to have tons of energy, & Tara & Amanda both beat me on Buzz :confused3 , I had to ride 7 or 8 more times to beat their score :rolleyes1 ...

Got to see John Hurley(Peterman.. :rotfl2: doing candlelight procession) & Beyonce was there on wednesday.. :faint: for the christmas parade taping, Regis & Kelly were gonna be there saturday but we left & didn't get to see them...

We had a good time but I think the girls will remember the critters more than the disney part(Lizards at the dolphin, birds, ducks)

I was most impressed that Mandy rode Mission SPace(I think 4 x total, 2 less intense & 2 intense) & Loved it..Cassie rode everything she could, Mountains, Everest, ToT & Test Track & she loved Mission Space too..

The van was packed with all the things we bought shopping so the girls were limited on their space on the drive home...They also loved playing game cube in the van..

WHoa...long post...

Paula--Trip looks fun! Don't you just love Cars? Thumbsucker? what was it about?..sounds like you have been busy...good luck with the recruiter. :sunny:

Pam--3 hours wrapping gifts? You must have a lot to wrap.. Gall Bladder? sounds scary, a lady from work just had hers removed...sounds like another ingredient for some roadkill soup...:duck:

Elaine--Where'd the 60 degree weather go ? :confused3 :thumbsup2

kimmar--nothing like a quick in & out.. :rolleyes1

Rosemary-- :wave2: stay warm

Sherry--Sounds like you need to put a fence around your tree..we had one when Cassie was small...Our tree is Whisk' hideout.. :rotfl2:

Happy belated Birthday Beth :Pinkbounc

Suzanne, Lily, John, Alan, Nancy, Liz & the rest of the gang.. :wave2:

& tara :duck:

Forgot to mention that we got something for the year of a million dreams..We got fastpass for the day at Epcot, which gave us 1 fastpass for Soarin', Test Track, Mission Space, Honey I Shrunk the Audience, Living with the Land & Maelstrom.. :thumbsup2

Just got back from church a bit ago. Stopped at Rally's on the way home. Come home to find out they forgot 2 burgers. :rolleyes1 So, Junior and Jordan ran out there (about 20 minutes away) to get them and the girl said she'd throw in a few freebies for the trouble.

Shhh.......Got up early this morning and got the boys a Wii (it'll be from my mom) for Christmas!! :bounce: :bounce: We were blessed by a man that gave us his voucher (CC was already out when we got there) because he found one at TRU. :woohoo:

Put up the decorations and tree yesterday. Woke up this morning to 5 ornaments on the floor and our fiber optic Santa topper on the floor. :furious: :furious: I don't know why the cat won't leave the stupid tree alone. :rolleyes1

Welcome home Amanda & Todd. Sounds like a fun trip. Yay for seeing Mr. Peterman! :lmao:

Well, I need to run and straighten this place up a bit.

Sherry--you know what they say about the drive thru? :rolleyes1

YAY for the Wii!

Would you believe I just got done working.....
We have been so busy today....I just ran a phone report on incoming and outgoing calls since 7am....total is 363!!!!
And I may have to log back on later - my person that was supposed to be on till 11pm has no cable so she cannot connect to the network to be able to work....

still in my PJ's - need shower badly....

Todd - your trip sounds great!!
Sherry - I am not mentioning wii to chris..... :rolleyes1

More later...

Party went great! As is typical, I made way too much food! Sooo, the london broil is in the oven right now, I decided not to make it last night. Also, the leftover spinach dip. It was lots of fun to have people over-and even better that the house is clean.

We hung our christmas lights outside, but need a new extension cord. Unfortunately, someone was extremely vocal and horrible on the drive down to Target, so we turned around and came back. I may make a solo trip after dinner.

Amanda and Todd-I'm sorry I didn't get over to WDW to see you. Sounds like you had a great time!

Paula, eek, you didn't answer all those calls did you? Hey, I'll come watch indies with you-Ed's not a big fan of them. Soooo, Coast Guard?

Sherry, congrats on the Wii. :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc I have a feeling I'll be hearing the boys celebrating all the way down here!

Lily, how'd those pierogies turn out? I've got sour cream and sauteed onions ready and waiting.

Pam and Lainey, who gets my nice flannel comforter? It's King size, burgundy on one side and hunter green plaid on the other-sounds like you both need it!

Time to turn the broil over. Back later, if I'm lucky, with outdoor pictures of the lights that were placed in 84 degree weather.

Suzanne

Okay....I am one tired and cranky woman tonight. It has been a busy day. I think I am ready for bed and it is only going on 7pm.

Lily...yah for the car.

John...and Todd thought getting the fastpass lanyard was good. How great for Sarah!

Suzanne...glad your party went well. No worries about getting over to see us, just gives us another reason to go back :goodvibes

Sherry...what a great gift for the boys. I was surprised Todd didn't ask for one :rotfl2:

Well...I think I am going to get the girls lunches packed, take a nice bath and snooze.

later!

I'm back on - working till 11pm.....

Suzanne right now the order is Navy - Air Force - Coast Guard. Jeffrey is really on the fence about this - he is really nervous for Chris.

Amanda - hope the post vaca let-down isn't too hard on you....

hi gang,

we're home...safe and sound!!

We had a great time meeting Todd, Amanda, Cassie, and Mandy. I gave Todd a bit of a scare :teeth: I had just spoken to Amanda on the phone and my group was headed to Haunted Mansion when I walked up to this guy and said, "Hi Todd". He didn't know who the heck I was and how I knew his name!! hehehe Jarrod really did like having the chance to ride rides with a male!! In fact the next night (after repeatedly asking where Todd and his friends :rotfl: were...he said "I wish we had a dad in our house" :(

I got to ride EE with todd and Cassie and then went back a few days later and rode it two more times. The backwards park makes me feel yucky...but the rest of it was good!!

we saw Wishes, Spectro, the christmas parade, illuminations, rode Soarin', EE, Test Track, Space Mountain, and ate lots of really good food!!

Over all the trip was good...the only bad parts were...1) coming home 2) Jarrod wandering off and being lost in MK for well over 30 minutes (he was fine I was a basket case...he did it because he was mad and so he just left us) 3) the time in the room when we were napping and Jarrod got a hold of my mom's mini leatherman and began cutting himself because he was mad and 4) when Jarrod stole a lego from the lego store. So we have to send it back with a letter of apology.

I would love to stay and ketchup more but I have to go buy milk and diapers...we are completely out of both and they seem to be a necessary evil around here!!

so good night gang,
tara

oh and I might be putting a deposit on Saratoga Springs this week :teeth: !!!

:wave2: Hi all......I have been MIA for a couple of weeks but just thought I would stop back in and say hi.

It looks like Todd and Amanda are back and they brought the cold weather with them. Glad you all had a good time

Suzanne, sounds like your party was good

Pammy, take good care of yourself. Please make sure that the squirrel stew is fully cooked. There is no pleasure in raw squirrel.

Tara, sounds as if your trip was interesting.

Well, the lights are on the tree and that is about it. I am working 4 days this week so it will be slow going for getting the ornaments on the tree.

Hello to everyone else that I have forgotten to mention. I am really tired and need to get to bed so take care and have a great week.

Morning!

Quick hi. Gotta get the boys moving. Monday's are the worst. :rolleyes1

Suzanne, glad the party went so well.

Paula, boo on having to work so much on a Sunday. Good luck to Chris with the recruiter stuff. My DH was in the Navy.

Hi Betty! Good to see ya again!

Tara, sounds like a fun trip....despite some of the small problems.

 to everyone!!

Morning....

Tara...glad you made it back. It would have been nice to hang with Jarrod more. I am sure Todd could have been persauded.

Hoping to get into a better mood today. I don't think it is post vacation blues...just stress.

Sherry...good luck with the boys this morning. Our girls are usually up on their own, we hope that last through the teen years.

Betty...glad you got part of your tree together.

Gotta go. Have a great week everyone.
