Hi all....

It was a good weekend here. Alyssa came home @ 3pm Friday afternoon - I worked Friday night but it was still nice having her around. Yesterday while she was out shopping with girlfriends Jeffrey and I went to out local Arts FEstival then apple picking then brought some apples to his parents.
Last night my father in law took the whole family (minus 1 nephew who had concert tickets) 20 of us - to a local restaurant that is famous for family style chicken dinners

after that we wantes to go to the fireworks for the Arts Festival and Jeffrey's aunt lives right across the street so we went to her house - watched fireworks and visited.

Today my dad came for his weekly visit and I worked 12-5. Going to watch football with Jeffrey now.....

We're back! However, even though I paid my electric bill the week before we left-it's off. Happened sometime Friday. Oh well, this forces me to clean out the FULL fridge and freezer.

Lainey, we should hook you up with my SIL-she's decided to make her ECV a pirate ship!

Had a nice weekend. Visited with BIL (& SIL & nephew) on Saturday. He had surgery on his knee last week. Yesterday was church, then we stopped at the Apple Festival on the way home, then went to see Invincible last night.

Tara, we ended up at Golden Corral.
Glad you had fun scrapping. How was Max & Erma's?

Welcome home Suzanne! Can't wait to see the pics, but sorry about the fridge. If it was something that was the fault of the electric company, I would ask them for money for food lost.
Are you going to MSNNHP this year?

Sherry, I think until OSU has an off week during the Halloweekend stuff at CP, we won't be going. It is a full 2-2.5 hour drive so it's not something we'd do just for a short while and come back home on.
Woo hoo for season passes at CP. Luis really wants to go someday. Not sure what happened this summer with going for us.

Kimmar, how could you *not* like GC? I grew up going to those as a kid. Haven't been to one in probably 13 years.

I'm here now. Had to go with SIL & BIL to Sam's to get tires (I have a membership). Only problem was, they stopped doing them before 5, even though they close at 7:30. So, I ended up going with them to BJ's (they have a membership) and walked around while we waited for the tires to be done.

Rainy, icky day.

I can understand not making it for HalloWeekends, Elaine. Def. try to get to CP soon, though, it is such an amazing park.

Kimmar, our GC here is just great.

Howdy. Busy day getting caught up at work.

Power's back, my work's cut out for me in the morning. At least I can go into work and fill the freezer up again pretty quick. I hadn't made this month's meals yet-and they'd saved me a case of croissant dough from last month's menu. I'm just happy I didn't stuff the freezer more before I left!

Trip was great, but we are happy to be home. We'd joked that anytime we go on vacation, we consider moving there. Not this time. San Diego was really nice, we WILL go back there. Other than DL, everything in LA was not all that impressive. The next trip to the West Coast has to be San Francisco-we've promised.

Max and Erma's? I've heard about the phones on the tables and my Mom had raved about the food. So, spill details, those of you near one!

I'm off tomorrow, so I'll probably post a trip report and some pictures then.

Anyone want a kid?

I just woke up to find every piece of luggage open, with it's contents strewn about. All because he wanted his damn gameboy-which he hid in his bedroom. Of course, the mess was left for me to clean up.

I'm at the end of my rope with this kid. He was a monster the whole trip, which we dealt with, but I've had it.

So, anyone want a kid?
