Bethie, I love your snow globe there!!! So far I've been good on that site and didn't go to the store even though I heard some were having great sales! ;)

Tara, funny story about being walked home :teeth: And my dad is possibly going on an Alaskan cruise with my brother & SIL this summer. I would consider going but they are a bit expensive and I couldn't take any other real trips this year if I did that.

Jeannie, don't go support that movie! We want Kate Bosworth to not be a hit and then somehow that will affect her relationship with Orli and then I'll get him, right? ;) :p It does look cute... kind of reminded me about Bye Bye Birdie at first.

Tina, good luck finding that last snow globe!

LOL Jeannie & Bethie!!! You two crack me up :p

And Tara what I understand about the cruises is that they are only offered during the summer months anyway. At least that's what I've seen.

Ok...I laughed right out loud.:p SOmeone's got a one-track mind!:jester: Seriously though, I didn't know he was dating this Kate chick...AND she gets to star with Joshy-poo...WHATEVER! Her name is MUD as far as I'm concerned.;)

Tara, June-July are great months to go, I would say July even more so than June. The weather is much milder then and might even feel summerish!! LOL!!! We joked about it the year the temps hit 80º every day for 3 weeks--that was summer!!

I lived in Ketchikan for 2 years (daughter was born there) and then on Kodiak Island for nearly 2 years. Coast Guard wife

You'll have more daylight than dark that time of year too. Sunset about 10 at night and up again around 4 or 5 AM!! And if you're lucky, you might get to see the Northerrn Lights!! TOTALLY AWESOME!!! If you get a good clear night, you will be absolutely blown away by the stars. There are soooooo many more you can see up there--less air pollution and less ground (cities) light to obscure them.

Jeannie that would be too funny!! A yaya meet in Alaska!! Glad summer months are the time to go, that is when my breaks are.

Beth...I have read that most of the cruises go to Ketchikan.
Jeannie...maybe the Denali forest is where the train is, where ever it is it looks very cool.

Uhoh I'm being summoned, back later.

Me... one track mind??? Naaa ;) Glad her name is now mud in your book too though :p

Bethie, I'm mooching off of your post to Tara, but I am glad that July is a good month because that is the one that my dad is planning on going.

A ya ya meet in Alaska? That would be cool!

Just finishing up with making dinner: Pork roast, sauerkraut, scalloped potatoes, applesauce—I’m hungry.
Happy anniversary, happy birthday, happy unbirthday, happy welcome back from your trip day, happy my surgery is done and I took a bath day, happy I had a dream and fell out of bed day, happy I had a dream and did not wet the bed day, happy road kill day, happy shopping for someone else and I didn’t have to spend all my $$$ day, happy Jared is a good boy and Matilda is a good girl today day, happy day!

Jammie party, count me in! Being an elder, probably won’t stay up too late, may have my nails painted when I awake hmmm?

Elaine, do not unbirthday yourself. I have great advice from my dear Mom who will be 86 this year, you should never feel bad about your age, celebrate life! Make everyone celebrate with you! My DF (the undertaker) says every day above ground is a good one. You know he’s right. Let the partying continue!

Alaska YaYa meet, I dream...

And, Lily, what time is dinner? I'll be right over!!

anyone remember that song....my parents had that 45..."You can ring my be-e-ell, ring my bell...ringalinga..."...

Oh sigh.... you make me feel so freakin' old.... :o I know that song and started to grooove and mooove while reading your post!!:o

Steve and I would love to take an Alaskan Cruise - we're thinking of waiting till the kids are gone, so it would be more affordable! My bad......

p-nut - didn't know you lived in Alaska, too - I did know that Beth had!! :)

Tara - can you get a DUI for walking drunk??:rotfl: I know that an old man from around here got one once for driving a lawn tractor drunk along the side of the road....:smooth:

HAPPY ANNIVERSARY BETH AND DAVE!!! ::MickeyMo ::MinnieMo

Well I didnt actually live in Alaska but my x did and I had an extended vacation in Fairbanks. It was very pretty there but I never got to see the Northern lights or a bear :( My x was in the army and they did some air ambulance runs. He said sometimes the bears would chase the helicopter.
Tina--glad to have you back and glad you had a good time.
As for my birthday, one Christmas day our family and in-laws go to my fil dsis house. Well my mil told everyone my b-day was the 5th and made them sing happy birthday to me. And no I didnt enjoy it. But mostly because she is nutty as a fruitcake.

Lily, enjoy your dinner!!! My dad had something similar last night. And don't worry, it's not an age or anything that bothers me, it's just I'm not into birthdays for me, that's all. Hard to explain :)

And I second what Bethie said!!! Great philosphy there!!!

Pam doesn't love me, she didn't say hi to me :(

:p

Jeannie, you are so bad!!!! :teeth:

why am I always off cycle with everyone's trips? :(
I'll never get to a Yaya meet this way.

We're going on an Alaskan cruise this June! :bounce:
I haven't decided on all the details yet and need a new booklet, but looks like they are all May on through good months.
I will be going to the travel agent in the next couple of weeks, get a new booklet and decide on what I want (it's a surprise trip with DH for our anniversary). :teeth:
Looking at Holland America...booking through AAA.

Hello EVERYONE!!
Pam, you aren't old! But I sure am, and feeling more so everyday.

Ok quit the age thing, lets just play!:teeth:
Ooops! Did that sound mean? I didn't intend for it to be. It's just that ya'all make ME seem so old cuz I am ancient.

Spa night--last one in is a dirty...

HELLO ELAINE, MY DEAR!!!!!!!!!

I THOUGHT I felt "the earth ...move...under my feet..."

Awww... thank you for the un-birthday wishes P-Nut! Does one generally receive presents on un-birthdays? Uh oh... Todd! You were misled on another board?! Ack! How embarrassing!! I think I'd better go into hiding!!

Ya'll are too funny!! Falling out of bed, ex-**** talk, Todd walking through drive throughs...

Drool spots in POtC.... I'm seriously thinking of buying a second copy of that DVD. I'm scared I'm going to wear this one out... is that possible???

Liz, Lily has a great way with words, doesn't she?

Have fun planning that cruise, Nancy!!! I suppose my family will make up their mind on theirs soon. I kind of hope they pick Bermuda so I can say no w/o any regrets ;)

Lily, you are a spring chicken!!! Elaine sprints to try to pass Lily

Why hello Pam! So nice to see you :)

Hiya Kimmie, so good to see you here! Enjoying that cake? So you are Hobbit height now? Wow, I must be really short then :p I am thinking of getting a second Pirates DVD too for the exact same reason :o
