I did a lot of shopping in El Paso:D Jessica turned 13 yesterday and we had a big birthday party with the in-laws. She made out like a bandit. She has decided she is now collecting snowglobes. Bought two minature ones at the Disney store she loved(she wants princess ones) I have my mom looking at her store to see if they have the others. This one had mostly winnie the pooh.

Happy Anniversary Beth and Dave!

Welcome back, Tina. Glad you got to go shopping.

The Disney Store online is having a big sale until the 9th.
25% off a bunch of things (even things already on sale).
The code is on the home page... but it is BONUS25.

Yes, I was naughty and ordered a few things

Gack, I came in here to say hi and something about Kristy's post made me realize that I forgot to catch up on all the PMs I left last night :o

Yeah Todd, we know how that other board is too ;) :jester:

Liz, don't rent, BUY Pirates :p You'll want to anyway after watching it :teeth:

Nancy, I saw that sale! I am resisting shopping though... could be bad for me

50% off, plus everything in the store, 25% off that morning, only! We done goooooooood!!

Glad to see you again, Tina!! Did you enjoy your trip? And you've been shopping, eh? What did you get me??!! :hyper:

Hey, we could just pick a day and have a huge birthday party and celebrate everybody's all at once!! ::yes::

Afternoon all!
Watched the parade, until I fell asleep!! Didn't get to sleep too long as Jarrod woke up early from his nap. He is now watching Dora the Explorer. We usually only have Playhouse Disney on for him, but I'm tired and wanted to get on the comptuter so I put noggin on. We just recently got that when we got our digital cable. At least it is preschool stuff!

Shep, my NYE party was back in 95/96 and we went to a really redneck bar to hear a favorite band play. We had gotten a hotel room at the beach that was probably a good 6 or 7 miles from the bar. We had designated drivers so the partying started before we ever left for the bar. After midnight and too much partying I fell into a funk over a recent breakup and decided I was walking back to the hotel. Actually, according to the nice young officer that picked me up, I wasn't walking so much as stumbling down the road. He very kindly took me back to the club and made sure I had a ride home with someone sober. In the morning we clocked the distance and it would have been one heck of a hike. We joke about it now, and if I do drink I'm never allowed to "walk" home!!! But it was probably one of the best nYE we have ever had!!

Okay, nuff said to get me in enough trouble!

Gotta do some research on a cruise to Alaska. We haved decided that our next trip will be on a cruise. If I find a man between now and then he can go to, otherwise it will be me, Jarrod, mom and matilda!!!!

back later,
tara

And it's Kim's birthday...AGAIN?? Who's trying to age her...if you need to age anyone it should be Apolobutt.:)Anyway, I thought Kimmy was a leap yr. baby..she's like 9 years old right?;)

SNickersnicker....Bethy...that step ladder...HARHAAAAHAHARRRR!!! Not that anyone is implying Kimmy is a tad on the vertically-challenged side.;)(Kimmy we love you!!:))

Oh and one more thing...Shersher and all who mentioned the Joshy-poo movie...I didn't think it'd be something I'd be willing to pay $9 for but..:p:p:p...it looks pretty funny!;)

Well..the flannel jammies and cold cream (do y'all still use cold cream?? What's it for? )sounds pretty fun...let me know when the next flannel party is! I'm afraid Deen or Pam will exchange the cold cream for CRACK Creme!!

Beth I LOVE your snow globe. I had a good time in El Paso. It was cold.forties during the day twenties at night. As for the shopping it was all for Jessica. Nothing for me:rolleyes: I was just happy to be in a mall. Even happier to be in the Disney store. Jack actually let me go in there twice:hyper:
My Mom just called from her Disney store in Florida..she found two of the snowglobes I was looking for:D ..still need the princess from sleeping beauty. that is her favorite one.

Hey down there in Yuma!:wave2:

Tara on the Alaska cruise..I have lived in Alaska...twice I highly recommend a cruise..we took the ferry out when we left. It was AMAZING!!!!! BEAUTIFUL!!! I love the beauty of Alaska:D

I lived in alaska for just shy of 4 years. It is the most amazing place!!

woo Hoo tina!! I will have to get you to help me then. My mom has always wanted to go to Alaska and because of some changes to my benefits through my other job, it looks like I will not be going as much (well, i'm quitting anyway, but that's another story!) Anyway, we decided we would save for a cruise, but holy cow they look expensive! I guess with food included it is not too bad. I really like the ad I've seen where they show a train going through the countryside. I have searched royal caribean and I haven't found anything that talks about the train. Also, the cabin's I've seen make me clostrophopbic (?SP) just looking at them. With four of us, including 2 children, i'm gonna need way more space than that!!! We want to go in June or July of 2005. Are those good months to be there? I don't want to have to miss school if I can help it!

I'm registering at cruisecritic to scope them out. I'll keep everyone posted!!
tara

Beth sneated!!! you too??? Woo Hoo I've struck Alaskan gold here!!!

Beth, see above post for my questions. Hate to repeat myself!! hehehe

tara

OMG! Tara...my family and I were thinking the EXACT same time for Alaska! WOuldn't it be weird....;) I saw this epi on the Travel Channel that featured the train trip through Denali...maybe you saw the same thing. I bet their website might have details....

Where exactly have you former Alaskans lived? Beth! What a surprise! YOu learn something new every day.:)
