Good morning, Ya Ya family!! Sorry to have been ignoring ya'll the last few days......been rather stressful here at the office and been going thru some heavy duty financial planning and worrying like Paula. thankfully, I think we've got things worked out--but more about that later.

As others have said, Alyssa just needs a little more time and the visit with Ryan should help a little, too. Hang in there, mom, you're doin' fine!! I'm keeping you all in my prayers.
Elaine, surely there is an easier way to get a pedicure than using a power washer?!! Your poor tootsies!!! Glad to hear Luis had a good birthday and ya'll enjoyed the cake. I can sympathize with your scale woes, too--I think mine is stuck. Not been eating much lately and the darn thing keeps saying the same thing every time I get on it!! Mostly it says, "Get off!! You're squishing me!!"

OK, I can't wait any longer to share my excitement with ya'll............I've been enjoying myself soooooo much at the scrapbook store, ya know, and I got promoted to Key Holder almost 2 weeks ago. Well, apparently I've been doing good because last night, the manager offered me the position of Assistant Store Manager!!!!!!!!! I go full-time there on Oct. 2nd. The cut in pay is going to be mostly offset by the savings in gasoline and health insurance and we think we can make it work. Plus, since this is such a big corporation (Michael's), there's a 401k and stock options and the door is wide open for advancement. My manager says she will have me ready to take over my own store inside of six months, too! I am still amazed at the entire situation, but what a tremendous boost to my self-esteem to have someone declare their confidence and trust in my work! Certainly a BIG change from the boy genius who can't talk to me without accusing me of doing something else wrong. Timing couldn't be better, either cuz we can REALLY party at the Ya Ya Scrapbook Meet, now!!! Anybody want to reconsider and join us after all??!!!
So we went and checked that out before hand.
