Hi gang,

Home from the wedding. I have to say it really gave me some good laughs (bridesmaid chomping on gum as she moved downt he aise, mother of the groom dancing and flashing the guests...she follows Pam's requirement of standard white undergarments!! :teeth: , and the father's recounting of how is daughter met the groom) It was quite the night. I was there as a guest of the bride's mother and she was ready to pull her hair out. She was so glad this thing was over she couldn't see straight.

The mother of the groom is Cuban, from Miami, and wants everyone to know she can dance...including the dancing that requires you to practically sit on the floor. Then she made sure that everyone saw her very expensive money makers!!! This woman was so phony. When the video camera lights were on her she ooed and ahhed and looked adoringly at the couple, but as soon as the light was gone she got this sour puss look on her face and acted like she couldn't be bothered with all of this. I spent more time watching her antics than I did the rest of the events.

Although, Granny requesting the chicken dance and then doing it was pretty darn funny!! Go Granny Go!!!!

Oh, and I was fine on the deck because it was only two steps up and it was huge. Plenty of room for all the guests!!

Going to an SPCA voluntEAR event with my old store tomorrow. Taking the kids down to the beach to help vonlunteer and see the animals!!! should be fun!

till the morrow folks!

Folks,
I have been a bad, bad girl and now I am paying the price!

If staying up all night tonight and working frantically to beat my deadline of noon doesn't cure me of procrastination, nothing will!

I can't stay - I am tired, cranky, and mad at myself. (But I had fun at the mall today with my son, when I should have been home working! ;) )

Nancy - I love your new BaB kids! :goodvibes

Tara - :rotfl: Sounds like a wedding I would to go to!! :rotfl: Glad you were okay on the balcony.

Rained :umbrella: :umbrella: :umbrella: all Friday night and all day Saturday. :guilty:

Awww...Pam....I think I will be doing an all nighter on Halloween eve....I have been doing the procastination thing in that sewing

Hi all! Pooped! Party was great and I was learning to tango some with Norman!

Since I have to get up at 8 am tomorrow... err, today, I had better fly!

Love the pic Nancy!

Laughs are great at weddings :p

Pam, good luck!

See y'all sometime in the morning!

Morning all! Been watching the weather channel too much, it's driving me :crazy2: Just trying to figure out when/where I will be heading.
DS is not happy w/me. His report card was not good :sad2: so he didn't get the new Tony Hawk's game he wanted. He tried real hard but, it was a no go. He's not use to mom not caving  .
Karen - sent you a PM. Possibility I could be in your area. Stay safe.
TC - loved the pics. Specially the family one!
Tara - I love to people watch. The wedding sounded like a great opportunity for that LOL.
Nancy - great deal on the kitchen aid. I love mine, when I have the chance to use it. You get that sewing done and quit procrastinating. ;)
Elaine - What kind of cookies do we have? Can't wait to see Luis w/his goatee! :teeth:
Suzanne - You are still in my thoughts. I love cannoli's!
Pam - are you cured? That procrastination bug is a bad one!
:wave2: Sherry!
Kimmie - let me know how that futon thing works out. My Cam is wanting one and I'm worried it won't be very comfortable.
Well, I've been  my eyes at ya'll talking about needing the heat on. We've still got the AC running but, sounds like we will be changing over to heat next week. WooHoo we have a cold wave. :cold: LOL Don't get much in between in my neck of the woods. Oh well!
Trying to decide if I want to tackle coloring my own hairs or not :rolleyes2
Was able to get in and get them trimmed up but, she didn't have time for a color job. Such a messy job. Wow, think Ive had too much caffeine already. :Pinkbounc :bounce: Maybe I should put all this energy to work, Ummmmm or maybe not. :rolleyes1
Later gators...............

Hey All,

Just getting ready for church. Gonna be a busy day for us. When we get home we have shutters to put up and stuff to bring in. We went under hurricane warnings last night. Looks like we will get the brunt of this thing. I have given RM my cell phone number and will call her if we are without power so she can let everyone know whats up. I might actually get to see RM if she is sent anywhere near me. Well I better get everyone moving. Hoping we can just cut and run from church and have someone else do the close down so that we can get home and get preps started.

Hugs to all!! :grouphug:

Sick to death of imagestation... crashed 2x now when I tried to upload pics. I guess I might as well wait until Luis grows it more to get a pic of him for y'all!

Rose Mary, I've colored my own hair before and it always worked just as nice as those who did it for me ::yes;: Good luck with the storm stuff... I just hope she keeps weakening. Saw she was down to 100MPH... I hope she makes it to barely a cat 1 when she hits. Not that it will be easier, but we've lived through storms like that here, so it might mean less damage or work for you ;) Oh and we have chocolate chip cookies... my favorite!

Karen, stay safe... like I said I am hopeful she keeps weakening. Good luck!

Tired here... woke up at 7 and went to bed at 2... I think a nap is in order later :p

Thank goodness for cute BaB critters, wedding antics and tangos!

Rose Mary, Cam gave the futon a thumbs up for night number one. I'll let you know how last night went as soon as he drags himself off the darn thing. :p So far he hasn't even bothered to unfold it... just sleeps on the sitting half. We bought the "upgraded" mattress, but still felt pretty hard to me when I tried it. 'Course a 16 year old body can probably handle it much better than a... an... older body. :p

Stay safe thoughts headed out to our Florida YaYas and Suzanne... thinking of you. You too Paula, how is Chris?

Good luck to those in the path of Wilma

I used to color my hair ....did so for about 10 years. Switched to a salon last spring and must say I like their job much better. And they are faster!! Of course they cost more too.
Guess it all evens out.

Rainy today....but still no heat on! We hit 68 yesterday.

Futons.....Christin slept on one for 2 years in college. The first was dorm provided. Was super lush and queen size. She slept fine. Second was in her apartment. Standard from Wal-Mart. But we added and extra foam egg crate. She slept find on that one too.

I have found with imagestation, if you try to load too many pictures, it doesn't work. I only do 5-10 at a time and don't have a problem anymore.
And they worked fine last night when I did the Halloween buddy pictures.
I see the 5x7s are on sale.....might be the time to try them out ;)

My kitchen is a mess....Dave is installing new florescent lighting and  But it will be nice to have the light back again. It had been getting dimmer and dimmer and flickering so much it was annoying me to go in there. Guess 19 years is past life for those things.

Guess what I will be doing all day? Hope to get the blouse and bag all done today.

Kimmie - uh hmmm, that would be a more "mature body"
Nancy - I would just hazard a guess to say you will be sewing ??? perhaps.
Love the BaB family.
Elaine - How do you have chocolate chip cookies in the house and stay skinny, darn it???!!!! I would have to eat the whole batch. I'm trying so hard to be good. Didn't even have a piece of cheesecake the other night when we ate at Cheesecake factory. And I still can't seem to drop these extra pounds. :confused3
Can I please have some cheese with this whine? ;)

Kimmie - uh hmmm, that would be a more "mature body"
Ah, yes... I have to admit that does sound better than the words running through my head this morning as I sit here eating excederin and sucking down coffee. Creaky, achy, stiff, lumpy... Ahem. Snork.

Hi Nancy! How are ya? New kitchen lighting, yay! I need a new kitchen! We're hoping to start that process sometime in the not too distant future. Was it Sherry that recently had new cabinets installed?? If so, any advice Sherry? Hmmm. We're trying to figure out the best route to take. Private cabinet type person or one of the chain stores like Home Depot, etc.

So Christin was okay with the futons too? Cam is using his old twin size feather topper thingy on the one half that he's sleeping on. That's probably helping too. I honestly don't think I could sleep on the thing. My Tempurpedic has truly spoiled me.

Happy sewing Nancy!

HI everyone - sorry that I have been MIA - wrestling with some personal issues- think I'm back on the up-swing now.

It been quite a weekend here - Friday startd with me being hauled over the carpet by a co-worker.....I have a staff member out due tto a death in the family so I offred to take her weekend hours - was told taking only some of her hours was "not fair" to the office staff that depends on the help....not fair?? ...what about the fact that I now have no day off this week...sheesh.
Chris slept at a friends house friday night (friends parents are in Cancun si I guess they had a male bonding support group) - called me at 9:30am yesterday to pick him up....well - the boy I picked up was smiling!!! - yes smiling - talking .....unbelievable!! I'll take that - came home and even asked his dad if he wanted to fix the old truck.....
Insert pause......
So......they fix the truck......take it out on it's maiden voyage - buy gas for it - truck running fine......husband driving.....gets into an accident!!!!! Slid into a car that was stopped to make a turn (wet roads) - NO damage to other car - no injuries - the truck??......front bumper all pushed in....all the oil leaked out - had to have it towed home.....looks like it may just go to the junkyard ..that will leave us with 4 drivers and 3 cars (guess it's a good thing I do work from home).

And how was everyone elses weekend??

Loved:
The kidlets dressed in Haloween finery (of course I'm partial to Wally in his chefs uniform)
The wedding story!!

Hair....yup I color my own - get very nervous every time though!! Thinking I need a style change though - gotta let it grow some first.

Hugs and good thoughts to those in Wilma's path....
Suzanne - comtinued thoughts and prayers....

Gotta work 12-6 today - may not get back here till later tonite - always get frozen on DIS while working.....

More later,

Not really NEW lighting ;) Just replacing the same stuff. (guess that does make it new....just nothing different ;) ).
I slept on Christin's futons a few times and I certainly wouldn't want to do it long term...but like you say, those young, limber bodies can take it.

Oh.... I meant to say this yesterday, but I am having more and more of those "senior" moments.
New poster up at the movie theater.....MARK YOUR CALENDARS!! PIRATES 2!....JULY 7!! :faint: :hyper: :bounce:

Hi Paula....so have you decided to stay with that job?
Glad Chris was smiling ::yes::

Super tired here... need to give Cleo meds... but then I shall sleep ;)

Kimmie, glad that Cam is liking his futon so far. I know my dad loves sleeping on the one he has (he has a real bed too of course)... maybe men's bodies with less curves fit better on them ;)

Good luck with teh lighting Nancy! I can imagine how messy that would be! Oh and I was only trying to upload one lousy pic on imagestation... grumble grumble...
I'll try again later I guess.

Rose Mary, the trick to being "skinny" (which truthfully at my height I am hardly that!) is to take the three dozen cookies you baked in with you to church. The rest of them eat the cookies for me :teeth:
That and dance as much as I did last night and you'd work off anything you'd eat :p

Honestly though, it isn't the junk food that kills me near as much as just food in general. After doing serious watching for a year now, it's second nature and I am not near as hungry as I used to be. I can't even finish an adult fast food meal with out being stuffed.

Paula, yuck on work & the truck. Sorry to hear that, but Chris smiling? Wow, that really makes me happy to hear! I hope it is the beginning of good days for him :)

Pirates2? Check! I'll be there for that one (gee I wonder why ;))

Okay pooped, abs ache from dancing... not legs, not feet... abs.. latin dancing is rough stuff. But we taught a few how to merengue and Norman was teaching me to tango. That was cool! He's an awesome dancer (big big flirt to)

off to stuff meds down kitties throat, remove contacts and sleep until about 7:30 ;)

Hey All,

Just checking in. We are still making preps for the storm. Ive got to stop watching the news because they are scaring the hell out of me with the tornado talk.

Karen,

Just started getting thunderstorms here. Sky looked a little green before and that always has worried me that those funnel clouds may be around.
